I love the covers of the Wizard of Oz and the Blue Castle! I've never seen them before. They are quite similar even though the stories inside are very different. This reminds me I'm due for a re-read of both.

I am glad that you showed us that middle grade book because at the my age of 67 I feel a little funny enjoying those sorts of books but I really do. You can always count on them being clean.

I thought I owned The Blue Castle but I can't locate it in the house. This is driving me crazy! Maybe I just thought about buying it somewhere but dang I recognize that cover so I had it in my hands at some point. Now that you explained what it is about I for sure want to read it! When you said you didn't have many I saw behind you many yellow books, but that must be just the spine, not the cover. a lot of interesting books to put on my tbr.

I haven’t read any of these yet but it sounds like a great list! The only yellow cover book I can think of that I enjoyed off the top of my head is Yellowface by R.F. Kuang

Years ago I went through a living-on-the-prairie-mail-order-bride-frontier-life reading phase and I read a few Janette Oke books. I have no idea which ones, however (lol) as we didn't have Goodreads and I never thought about keeping a reading journal.

I loved Love Comes Softly, and Swallows and Amazons. I have read all of the rest of both series. My favorite in the Swallows and Amazon series is Winter Holiday - one of my favorite children's books and one I still reread.

Yellow is my favorite color! 🌼🌻💛 Swallows and Amazons was recommended to me a while ago but I haven’t tried it yet. It sounds like a good book for summer. Maybe I’ll pick it up soon. The Helen Hoover book sounds interesting to me too. I look forward to hearing what you think of it.
