Soooo many books make me cry! In life, on a scale of 1-10, I'm ok at about a 5, maybe a 4-6. Anything happier or sadder, either way, and I become a fountain of tears. 😭😂

I loved Love Comes Softly, and Swallows and Amazons. I have read all of the rest of both series. My favorite in the Swallows and Amazon series is Winter Holiday - one of my favorite children's books and one I still reread.
I bought the whole Swallows and Amazons series, read the first several to my kids, and then my oldest daughter whisked them away with her when she and her husband moved across the country to N.C. I didn't buy the series again, but I did buy book 1 again. They are such wholesome, sweet, and adventurous stories. ♥️
When you said you didn't have many I saw behind you many yellow books, but that must be just the spine, not the cover.

Yellow is my favorite color! 🌼🌻💛 Swallows and Amazons was recommended to me a while ago but I haven’t tried it yet. It sounds like a good book for summer. Maybe I’ll pick it up soon. The Helen Hoover book sounds interesting to me too. I look forward to hearing what you think of it.

Years ago I went through a living-on-the-prairie-mail-order-bride-frontier-life reading phase and I read a few Janette Oke books. I have no idea which ones, however (lol) as we didn't have Goodreads and I never thought about keeping a reading journal.
