So sad to see these places left abandoned and decaying, it would be so nice if it could be restored and used again. 😊
Great to see this video, I remember the small boats meeting Balmoral at Lynmouth but never experienced it at Steap Holm . Maybe in the future as work on Balmoral is progressing fast in dry dock 🤞
Mum took me on it circa 66, it stopped mid way for about 5 minutes......she wouldn't go on it again 😅
Love the Funhouse footage
I wish they kept the Gold Mine but given it a really good freshen up. Would've loved to have ridden it
Great footage!!
Excellent ! Fascinating stuff😊
Great video, I would have loved this
I went on the Water Chute at it's previous home, Belle Vue, Manchester c1965.
Shame it got scrapped all together. Remember them themeing it with valhalla as vikingar and putting a bridge over tge water drop
It’s now called Yorkshire bell
GOD I LOVED THIS THEME PARK. SUCH A SHAME IT'S GONE REALLY SAD THE GOOD Times And The Menories
Great footage of when the blue grotto section used to be open with the cafe above. Was so much better.
Will 34101 Hartland be mainline certified?
Loved that ferry, would sale in anything
Went on it many times, a great video
Remember early 70s riding them , no safety, me and my lifted the bar up , that was meant to keep you in , 100;ft up we were petrified 😅
I grew up in Scarborough and remember riding on this, sadly its no longer there, i would have loved to have my neice and nephew go on this ride but the minature train ride still remains to this day.
Thànx,loved puffin Billy, incase any1 doesn't know, the train was called after Billy butlin,gr8 days, didn't realise how lucky we were
I've always wondered about the building was operated at the left by the time this was recorded: Was it the then-new ''Pier Fish & Chips'' or are they still operating under ''Slots of Fun?''
Love this so many memories brought back by this thank you
Such a beautiful park in its hey day! Thanks for sharing
Thanks for posting your video...🙏😊👍
Is this still working and train I loved it as a kid many years ago
Yes it is now open for the 2024 season
Nice record of how things were back then, a lot changed at the railway within just a few years! Many thanks for sharing.
In the 80s with my nan , that chair lift scared the hell out of me 🤣
Interesting sitting in a old carriage here . Notice the track removed back then
that pleasure beach roller coaster is very old can't use that ride Wooden nearly cracks. Must be Brand new building 2024 make lower price
Amazing and the train. More advance back then
A great loss. I explored what remains of this and it’s only the chair lift posts that show where it’s located
Thanks for uploading, wonderful memories of this park from first opening when it was packed to its steady decline , can't believe its been just left to rot and towers and old stations are lift of was once a fantastic fun park in its day😢
It was like being in Disneyland.
Former name boys own
The Buffalo Ride lives at Twinlakes now!
Top vid, John. Amazed they could berth at Penarth since it's such a small pier. Also shows you the huge tidal range in the Bristol Channel.
Ahh holidays in the 1970s with mum and dad x peasholm park and i remember these amazing . Please sort it out and bring these back
Wait Clara was originally red?
I went on the chairlifts at Barry Island, Minehead and Pwllheli....Pwllheli was the best!
Die Bauanleitung war vonne Jappse und auf Mandarin.
Thamks for this.
The London Liverpool Street to Norwich Class 86 hauled expresses had an InterCity Executive livered Mark I catering vehicle in the centre.

The 158 looks all new and shiny there
Scarborough was a great holiday resort in the 70s and 80s
It was Fantastic . The tree walk . and that the pub near the castle the Albian , you could buy cocktails with cute little cocktail sticks
Brilliant. The festival gets smaller as the village community shrinks but they somehow keep it going. Great to see one of Devon's disappearing folk customs.
The outdoor pools both north & South gone ,Mr marvels a derelict mess. Thank you Scarborough council for your efforts in ruining a lovely town .
Not to mention the Futurist, Corner Cafe complex, Atlantis / Watersplash, Mr Marvels, Kinderland............

Haven have took train and track away, sad to see it gone, but u can walk old line,it's a path
Wow hearing the announcement for the flight time to Bristol from Plymouth being just 25 minutes makes me so sad that we can’t enjoy such a short travel time up to Bristol anymore, such a shame that people didn’t use the airline enough to keep it going.
