Mental health professional here. Sometimes this job becomes too much to bear and I question why I do what I do but hearing from people like Ren remind me why I do what I do and renew my resolve to carry out my job and help people.

Keep reaching.We appreciate you, Ren. As we get older, we see that no material item, relationship, food, drink, or amount of money saved will heal our "chink in our armor". We chase these ideas and hope and believe that this one will be the one. This time the ladder will lead me there...only to find another ladder. The trick, i think, is the moment. Feeling every moment and understanding what it is doing for us. We can't hold on to that anymore than we can a cool breeze that has blown by on a hot day. It gives us relief, though, for that moment. This moment that we live is all that we have. Do the most with it. Love, laugh, cry, bleed and fight through the pain or the pleasure, but acknowledge it is all we will ever have. A man who lives to be 90 years old or a baby that lives only a moment still loses the same thing when they die...that next moment! Never Forget how small we are in the Universe. Just as we came from it, we will return to it. These moments you share are changing lives and giving hope and helping another moment flourish or shine. Be proud of your moments. Every one! I discovered Hi Ren a week ago and I've been listening to your songs on loop every day since. What I'm going to say may sound superficial because words aren't strong enough to match my feelings but the fact that this kind of music got so much attention and so many views actually rekindled my hopes in human kind. It appears to me that people maybe actually aren't as shallow as they seem, and are capable to be drawn to humanity, to pure art, that there's still room for authenticity and the world isn't yet swallowed by consumerism. Thank you for sharing your story, your pain, your love for life, your music.

I have been fighting with medical professionals that forget that they are “practicing” for 30 years! They simply don’t listen and forget that they don’t know everything! It should not be so hard to have doctors listen patients that have issues that “don’t make sense”, medicine is learning how to treat those that have lost hope, not just who’s easy to treat!

I sit here sobbing as I know what you mean about struggling and suffering because how it will make others feel! There’s not a day that goes by that I “don’t wonder”. I’ve buried too many friends to allow them to bury me, but the pain is real
