I feel like each ship is for a specific cruiser Magic-classic Disney/cruise fan Not only is this the OG, but right now it's the only ship that will go to both Disney islands and tangled has that classic "Disney Magic" even though it's newer. Also, panama canal is classic cruising. Wonder-Small ship, culture lovers The ship itself is a little worse than the Magic imo, but a lot of people love the small ship feel and again, the ports are amazing. Fantasy and Dream-DCL superfans These ship captured everything the die-hard Disney cruisers love, from the amazing kids clubs and adult areas to the MDA, there's always something for cruisers of any age. Only difference for these 2 is the Fantasy has a little better adult area and the extra MDA, but the Dream has the better ports, so you can kind of apply some of what I said about the magic to the fantasy and wonder to the dream Triton Class-parks fans/families/t̶h̶e̶ ̶r̶i̶c̶h̶ It's obvious that they spent a lot of effort into the kids clubs and activities, as well as the sheer number of shops on board. A pro for families and a con for adults only cruisers are the adult only areas. It's not secluded and what there is is small. Also, there's 2 interactive dining rooms and only 1 that gives you a little break, but still wrapped in traditional disney fandom For the specific ships, this is what I've gathered: Wish-Magic Kingdom enthusiasts Even in all the promotion materials, this ship was promoted as DCL's Castle. The theming is mostly around your classic princesses and fairytales, even down to the stateroom themes. Treasure-Disney theororists Most areas are themed to properties that are S.E.A related, as well as pixar. Even the tower suite is EPCOT themed, as well as having the dining room that's unique being a Pixar IP Destiny-Heroes and Villains is the theme, pretty much all we know Adventure-all around big ship experience, encompassing the most IPs and utilizing areas, also pretty much all we know My ranking of what I've been on Fantasy, Dream, Wonder, Magic, Wish Tentative ranking including the ships not out yet Fantasy, Dream, Wonder, Magic, Treasure, Adventure, Destiny, Wish

We got hawaii in September, but then next May we're going on a sailing that goes to both!

It'll be nice if they have a 5K run, and if you go to both islands on the same cruise and do the 5K, it can be called Challenge of the Islands. Thanks for the video.

I brought candy from my home state for my stateroom host and servers and wrote thank you notes and gave it to them. They seemed to like it. I also gave an extra tip at the end of the cruise, but I don't know how they felt about that, because I gave those envelope on the last night/day and they were super busy. That name tag tip is SO IMPORTANT! Especially for the survey!

With hundreds (thousands?) of crew on board, a singular name may not be unique. Include at least the department, and the full name and hometown if known.

My mother and I went on a Disney Cruise for her 70th birthday. Our server completely forgot about our table. We got our drinks late our food late. Everyone would be leaving before we had our meal. They forgot about my mothers birthday cake. Even though I reminded him four times. Finally she got her cake and they sang to her in a empty room. Everyone else that helped us (outside the dining room) was wonderful. Planing another Disney cruise. If I feel ignored again in the dining room, I’ll just ask for another person.

I like that Disney wants their guests to feel that Disney difference and if you have ever sailed with them, you know exactly what I mean. I do not like the pressure they put on both their cast members and guests with the survey. Disney uses the surveys to achieve industry quality awards, and while I do belive they are well deserved, I don't like that cast members are terrified to be anything but perfect which is an unrealistic standard. I don't like that guests feel pressured to be less honest about their experience because they don't want the slightest imperfection to cost a great cast member their next contract. The survey really doesn't serve to drive improvment because any oportunity for improvment may be severely punished. It is just a very toxic system in my opinion. I love DCL, and the cast, but I hate that survey.

I just know atleast one Dcl imagineer kicked their air after realizing they should've designated Adventure as their "castle at sea", given its huge size, compared to the little ol wish class.

Trying to remember to get names while I'm supposed to be enjoying my vacation just doesn't work because it's too much like work. My last cruise only 1 crew member said their name with any authority, and while we remembered it, it was only because on two different occasions he brought us empty butter dishes.

APPRECIATION TIP- Whenever we encounter a crewmember that truely goes above and beyond we always ask permission to take a photo with them or at least a photo of just their name tag to ensure we spell it correctly on the comment card. A nice way to let them know in the moment they are really appreciated and also help our own fuzzy memories after all the fun. Special shout outs to crewmembers Blyton and Gede Rama on the Dream, and Declan, Milos, and Sonya on the Fantasy! 😊

Could this be Disney’s redemption?

I will be going on this cruise ship in the video (Disney Wonder) next year and in 2 years from San Diego California to Ensenada Mexico for 4 days

I really hope this ship eventually makes it over to Florida (port canaveral and port Everglades can both handle Oasis class ships which is similar to the Adventure). Going on the Treasure in 2025. Can’t wait to actually see what they do with this new ship and make what was a dupe of the oasis class ships into a Disney ship.

Hope ALL the restaurants in the cruise serve Halal options.

We were really looking forward to trying this one (as my wife’s side of the family lives in India), however we were disappointed this is only 3/4 night sailings. We have grown accustomed to the 7 night options and prefer having enough time to explore.

I was interested in trying this ship but the cost of round trip airfare from New York City to Singapore is over $2000 per person and the flight is between 32-35 hours each way. That doesn't make sense when you are only sailing for 3 or 4 days. The cost of the cruise will be close to $2000 per person compared to Royal Caribbean that does a similar cruise for $500 per person or less. Disney is going to have trouble in the Asian market with their inflated prices.

With 6700 guests onboard, it is going to be really crowded, especially in the buffet area, pools and other common areas. It will be interesting to see how DCL manage the crowd, which they have been doing very well with the older ships.
