Elbow pain can be a real hindrance, especially if it interferes with your daily activities or favorite sports. In the latest video, Dr. Anne takes us through the ins and outs of tennis elbow, a common condition that affects many people, not just tennis players.
Tennis elbow, or lateral epicondylitis, is characterized by pain on the outside of the elbow. It's often caused by repetitive wrist extension, which can happen not only in sports like tennis but also in everyday activities such as typing or using a hammer. Dr. Anne also touches on golfer's elbow, which affects the inside of the elbow, providing a comprehensive overview of elbow pain conditions.
One of the highlights of the episode is Dr. Anne's explanation of the Graston technique. This method involves using specialized instruments to perform soft tissue mobilization. It's designed to break up adhesions and muscle spasms in the affected area, promoting better blood flow and faster healing. Dr. Anne provides a step-by-step demonstration, showing how the technique can alleviate pain and improve function.
Dr. Anne emphasizes that tennis elbow is a chronic overuse injury, meaning it develops over time due to repetitive stress on the tendons. This makes it crucial to address the condition early and implement effective treatments like the Graston technique. By increasing blood flow and stimulating healing, this method can significantly reduce pain and improve recovery times.
Whether you're an athlete, a desk worker, or someone who uses their hands frequently for work, this episode offers valuable insights into managing and treating tennis elbow. Dr. Anne's expertise and practical advice make it a must-watch for anyone dealing with elbow pain.
Don't let elbow pain hold you back! Tune in to the full episode to learn more about tennis elbow, its causes, symptoms, and the Graston technique. Your journey to pain-free living starts here.

Had it first time today and am feeling better
Glad to hear it!
I can flex my back at all, I am in so much pain, is there any stretches and strengthening exercises I can do, I at the point of being bedridden. I been to the chiropractor for 3 months 3x a week, pain hasn’t changed 😮
Should you be able to maintain this pressure while doing daily activities while standing and walking even if doing them for long periods? What kind of band is that in the video?
The band is a piece of generic theraband. You don't normally walk around performing this exercise. The more you practice it, the more it becomes natural and something you can turn on when you need it in daily life.
hello, how long should we do this work in one session? like 10 min for 3 times a day or more?
I usually tell my patients to do 2 minutes in the morning, 2 minutes in the evening.
Facts. Hopefully this does me some good, because I shouldn’t be having these issues at 17 🥲
I just had a massive tension headache come out of NOWHERE, and also didn't have any pain reliever on hand. I tried getting in the shower and just let hot water run over my neck and head and 15 minutes later it was gone. Definitely use heat for tension headaches.
Always a good idea to see a local PT or DC to help eval massive headaches! Glad the heat helped.
Can a sick scapula be fixed by chiro
Sure, as long as the Chiro does rehab exercises in the office - or has a way to teach you them to do at home.
❤️
Thanks!
Many headaches are from gluten sensitivity. Try eliminating gluten and see if it helps. Sometimes it takes two days to get reaction from gluten. It helped me, I had headaches every day and now it’s practically gone if I don’t eat gluten and go regularly to chiropractor.
Good idea!
Hi! I have a migraine with aura that causes a blind spot and I saw zigzag lines turning around my right eye that disappears up to 15-20 mins. What is best for this type of migraine, an ice or a hot compress?
Hello! Just to be safe I recommend you get an eval from a local physio or Chiro!
I am feeling tension headache for on month still i am feeling I didn’t use any medication wht to do
Hello! Just to be safe I recommend you get an eval from a local physio or Chiro!
Constant stabbing pain in the back of head for four days now!!!! Need the pain to go away. I used heat I used ice.
Sorry for the late reply! Pain go away? If not, I definitely recommend a visit to a physio or chiro in your area for an eval.
so maybe may head ache came from the weight of my welding mask and welding overhead
Very possible! Working overhead, like painting, always gives me headaches
I get it only on my left eye and temple it hurts so bad
Sadly I know exactly how it feels! If nothing makes it better or if it gets worse, makes sure to reach out to a local physio of chiro for eval.
The audio gave me a headache lmao
No joke. We've upgraded all our equipment since then.
My spine/neck hurt and I feel like it's the cause of my headache. Any suggestions how to deal with this.
I suggest reaching out to a local chiro or physio and getting an eval for the headaches and spine pain.
*physician assistant. Please correct :/ it just adds more stigma that they are assistants
Good catch
What about,,,when my top head hurts so bad, I am not feeling well, I can't do job, my body weakened, I lose my appetite, my body feel fever. How?? please I need help!!!
I would suggest an eval by a physician.
Very interesting. Is this similar to trigger point massage? How does it work in actual back injuries and how long does it take them to heal?
Yes it is similar to a trigger point massage. Totally depends on the type of injury.
I have headache since a week. Would it work for me? What should I do to cure it? ( Headache mostly arrives at the morning and at the night time)
Sounds like a tension headache, but you could always get an eval by a chiro or PT in your area.
Do you do the occipital lift?
No sir. I think I was taught it in school, but haven't done it in years.
Do you do the y strap and the occipital lift?
I do not do the y strap.
What about the occipital lift
Hi how long should this tape be left on for?
Usually 2-3 days
Number 1
Nice video
Thanks! Let me know if there is a topic you'd like me to cover in a future video!
Tell me about cluster headache
Anything specific?
Thanks bud .
You bet
I wish i can have that treatment
Any good physios or chiros in your area?
Good job
Thanks
Hey. I was recently diagnosed with this issue. What would be the way forward? Like treatment n exercises.
Check out our video on the Blackburn Exercises! That's a good start. Did your physio/chiro give you any rehab?
This is really informative. Thank you.
You are so welcome!
I’ve been suffering from plantar fasciitis and was wondering how long is it between appointments? Also would it be beneficial to have consecutive appointments every day?
If I was treating it with Graston, I would wait a few days between appointments. But that's just my opinion.
Thankyou doctor for your informations, what kind of tape what’s the name please! I have the same problems.
I think in this video I use KT gold, but I also think Rocktape makes some great tape. I think you can find the generic KT Tape in stores like Walmart.
can sprinting increase my height as it increases the HGH levels
Not to my knowledge. Once your growth plates finish building your bones, pretty sure you can't get taller after that.
@@cardinalchiropracticandspo5249 but can I grow taller with sprinting as a teenager 16 and my growth is not finished yet.
This can help with scapular winging and rounded shoulderd?
Typically yes! Unless there is a neurological cause for the winging.
I left the hospital this morning for migraine in back of my head I had from fainting and my paperwork says to try ice for the headache symptoms.....I just elevated my legs for about 10 minutes now I'm applying ice to my nape area of head. Hopefully it works. Has been hurting/throbbing 2 weeks now
Trauma and hitting your head can sometimes be serious, I recommend getting an eval if it keeps up!
Are you feeling better today?
Which sprint training (all out) is better for long-term health---100, 200, or 400 meters?
100 max, but do it 10 times with a minute rest in between.
@@cardinalchiropracticandspo5249 10 times 100 ALL OUT!?! So Usain Bolt should run sub 10 for 10 times with 60 seconds rests? Sorry, but that makes no sense. Love to see you do it!
Are we talking about an elite runner like Bolt or every day advice for the average population? Everything depends on your goals. Were you originally asking which distance should be done JUST ONCE all out, for long term health? Cardiovascular health? Joint health? I would argue that for the average person, doing a few rounds of 100m is probably better for long term health generally speaking, and is easier to start doing vs 400m. But obviously everything depends on your goals.
I have what I think is pain in the splinius capitus (my left side which I feels to the touch tender when i turn my head to the right) and when I lay down on my back I can feel pain in the back of my head that can cause dizziness. Its only on the left side.
With any kind of dizziness I recommend that you get checked out by a local physician, just to be safe!
Sir hi I'm going to gym and feel discomfort in my right shoulder blade and as well on behind the coracoid process..and my right trap is lower a little with slight right anterior shoulder
I recommend heading to your local physio or chiro to get an eval on the shoulder. That way you can start heading back to the gym without pain!
Your microphone isint helping
Agreed! I've upgraded since then!
@kack koffin Dude this guy is making free videos to help people around the world. If you dont like the mic quality go to your local doctor pay for the consultation just to most likely hear this wonderfull free information. People like you is what is wrong with earth. Always something to complain about. Be greatfull for once in your life
I know its painful for about the first 45 seconds, but it's so worth it- cold showers- Wim Hof style has cured me. I had debilitating headaches.
I hear good things about Wim Hof! I need to do some more research on it. Maybe put together a video on it
Do you take a cold shower when you feel the migraine creeping up or is it more of a routine you do even when you feel good?
@@borisblack3219 routine
A really hot shower seems to work for me sometimes 🤕
I have trigeminal neurologia on left side which one is helpful for me
Trigeminal neuralgia is more neuro based, so I'm not sure ice or heat would help actually. I suggest getting an eval by a local licensed physio or chiro and get some suggestions more personalized for your case.
Thank you👮
You're welcome!
Would this cause sxs like shoulder impingement
Correct! Yes it can
For one sided pain that is constantly we should put ice on the back skull of head right?
I would try ice first yes, but if it doesn't work make sure to reach out to a qualified physio or chiropractor to do an eval!
1 am and I still can’t sleep I’m going to try heat
I hope you were able to get some rest. Remember to contact your local chiro or physical therapist to get an eval on the headaches if they continue!
🙋♂️ hi, just sharing some Reddit love
Thanks!! Let me know if there is a topic you'd like me to cover!
Dear Sır. I was diagnosed with acromioclavicular type 2 or 3 dislocations 7 months ago, but I still have pain in the front and top of the shoulder area, my scapula looks like a SICK scapula in my control. Can ı get dramatic results from the 6 exercises you mentioned for shoulder pain. Thanks your answer
Type 2 and 3 AC sprains can be significant enough that exercises alone won't fix the problem. You can give the exercises a try and see if they help, otherwise find a DC or physio in your area for an eval. Hopefully they can help!
thanks a lot sir.... 2 days earlier, i was feeling uncomfortable... so i rested in the bed... then after a few moments, i did a few vomitings... and headache started and that night went like nightmare.. i was fully unconscious... but managed to sleep anyhow and then from the last 2 days, i dont have any headache, but whenever i move my head like a jerk, it pains so much... so today i decided to apply so warm water bag to my head... as it's cold outside, so I can't apply ice..
Hello, to be safe, you should probably visit a doctor in your area for an evaluation.
@@cardinalchiropracticandspo5249 thanks for the reply sir.. but it's completely fine today... i took a medicine and now it's all fine... from a year i had a problem of acute mild headache 24 7 and after that pill, im completely fine... thanks for the reply sir..
