Good video. From this I mainly related to Judy and Nic Cage types...so and sp
those last 2 clips made me bawl my eyes out lol.
You and me both!
(Social/Navigating Fours feel] shame at not measuring up to group standards. "It's that all eyes are upon you when you walk into a room. They are not adoring eyes. It's never that you do anything improper, it's that they can see that you're wrong inside."…… Jesus Christ this read me like a book😭
It hurts so good
48 and wondering why I should keep going.
Well.. I'm not really qualified to speak to that, but I'm assuming that since you're commenting on the Type Four video that you identify as a Four? From an Enneagram perspective, I *highly* recommend Beatrice Chestnut's "The Enneagram Guide to Waking Up." It's the most simple, practical book I've found for real growth through the lens of the Enneagram. For Type Four, that has to do with finding ways to integrate pain, shadow, suffering, inadequacy, etc. Obviously I don't know the specifics of your situation but I'd encourage you to press on. There's always hope and growth.
You're work on these video's are incredible! Where are the type 2 and type 8 video's though in the 'enneagram type in film & series' playlist? Van only find the subtype variants of the type 2 and 8🤔

the vibes in this video is immaculate, the dialogues can be kinda calming, i played this video while drawing and it works as a wonderful background noise! edit:8:37 song?

I'm speechless
How so?
yeap
Indeed
I went and saw Contact in the theater by myself when I was 13. No family or friends wanted to see it with me. And I felt a deep connection with Ellie Arroway within minutes. Read the book afterward. Became obsessed with Sagan. Years later had a friend of my sister force me to take an enneagram and found I was a 5. Naturally, dove into that to learn as much as I could. Not sure how I even found this channel though. Now, seeing this video, it helps me make sense of myself a little bit more. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing, I’m glad you connected with it!
idk if i’m a 7 or a 2 and it’s driving me insane 🥲 i feel like i’m more self interested than a 2 and i always seek thrill and pleasure and want to avoid pain and i’m always planning and need to look toward to the future, i find it hard to stand still and i’m very easily bored and impatient. im afraid of working and having responsibilities put on me bc i want to be free to do whatever whenever and have constant fun. my mind is never set on the present. i’m not as sacrificial as a 2, but i have a strong desire for love and i’m very image conscious so idk 🥲
I mean… that sounds like 95% Seven and 5% Two, lol. Twos aren’t the only ones who have a strong desire for love, so that’s not a deal breaker. Did you watch my other videos for Seven and Two? Which of the characters most strike you as feeling like yourself?
My favorite 7 is Riko from Made in Abyss. Because she really does suffer. Yet she keeps that childish positivity, regardless.
I haven’t seen that, will check it out. Thanks for the tip!
@@TypeCast You're welcome! I hope that you like it. It has some material that is..contentious..but I would not let it stop you from enjoying the series. It's more than worth it.
I think it’s wild how all of the personality test have almost all told me the same thing. I’m a enneagram 4, INFJ, life path 11, and Aquarius dominant in my astrology chart. 😂 but I love this it makes me feel good to know I have been crazy my entire life I always knew I felt things a lot deeper than other people and I was different.
If you feel things deeper than most people and also feel “different“, Type Four is a good bet!
I read a lot and lisbeth slander is my favorite character as an adult. The one i relate to the most and i just found out in a five ...
That works out then!
I’m a social 9
Thanks for watching!
1:08 this is how 7s get ready for the day lmao
With less makeup hopefully.
“goddamnit what do you want?!” “…i have to go” NOOOOO ITS TOO TRUE😭💀 also chidi is literally me lmao. and cal not saying anything and then leaping out of the car to avoid confrontation? please😭💀
Sounds like we've found the winner then, lol.
19:35. Me always wondering why I like Irish things, Irish Weather, Irish religion. Me more confused why I also like Japan in the same way
Seems like a good balance of cultures to be interested in.
A lot of these examples are counterphpbic 6s. Not to be confused with 8s.
Which ones specifically would you type as counterphobic six?
Just found your channel. I booked a tritype consultation with Katherine Fauvre, and she typed me as an 863, Social 8, which might be rare in women. Would like to see more videos with Social 8 women.
Apologies for the all-male cast in this one. I originally made this video as just a one-off, because of the Godfather containing all three type eight subtypes. But then I decided to try the same concept for each type, just not with the same film. At some point I would like to go back and do an alternate type eight version with all females to balance it out.
@TypeCast No need to apologize. It was a great montage of different examples of all 3 subtypes of 8s from the same movie and the same family. The Godfather (or any mafia movie) is a great example. Thank you for showing the differences. I'm from Texas, and I think a lot of Southern women are 8s. At least the ones I know: big heart, big hair, and big energy. Very charismatic, protective, nurturing, and tough as nails. 💅 Our nickname is, "A force to be reckoned with."
@TypeCast I must add that after talking to Katherine, she said counterphobic 6s THINK they're 8s. Tritypes with 6+8 is always counterphobic. She says cp6s can appear "more 8 than an 8." Celebrity examples of a cp6 are Malcolm X and 50 Cent.
@@KimEvazians And good cooks, too (from what I hear)! Yes, 8's and CP6's are often mixed up (understandably). I just had someone comment on my other Type 8 video that they thought a lot of those characters are actually CP6. Lol. I disagree but these characters can be quite subjective. I have Malcolm X as a CP6 example in my Type Six video. Also if you check out my Type Six Subtypes video, I use Antoine Fisher as the Transmitting (Sexual) CP example. That character is a great example of a person who might look 8-ish on the outside but is actually driven by Fear rather than a need for Power/Control.
@TypeCast Yes, I can say that I am definitely in charge of the kitchen and can make a supremely satisfying meal out of random forgotten foods found in someone else's pantry + fridge + garden. 🍅🥬🧄🍝🥖🥗 (If they let me take over 😉.) I will check out your 6 videos. The misconception about 8s is the need for control. We don't necessarily want to control others (unless if you're in our world like part of our job responsibility or our child). We just don't like being controlled, especially by incompetent people. We are not power-seeking, but are constantly surrounded by people who like to latch onto us because they are seeking power, protection, resources, or whatever to make themselves feel more safe and secure.
Maybe for future videos, you can probably make a comparison of types through this format. Sometimes some people struggle with finding their type, they might be stuck between two types.
The tough part is finding other films with three strong characters of each subtype in the same film. But I’m open to ideas!
Omg.. How do I change? 🥺
I highly recommend Beatrice Chestnut’s “The Enneagram Guide to Waking Up.” Simple, practical advice for real growth.
@@TypeCast thank you!
my dad is a 9 and my mom is a 2. the thing that upsets my mom when they argue, is that she doesn’t feel heard. my dad kind of just shuts off. he doesn’t even seem like he’s there! that crazy stupid part reminded me of it.
Sounds like a Nine, lol. They grow by engaging and not shutting down like that.
Love how you ended it with princess diana. She is the epitome of a 6 w 7 ❤
Thanks!
I identify as a 6w7 and though i am not at my full potentional as still let fear rule my life there have been instances whee my liberties and rights were defamated on and surpised my own self as i rose from the shadows into the light and became a lion instead of a mouse. I suppose for a 6 to overcome something we simply have to know when to draw the line. 😊
Lion FTW!
Respect 🙏🏿 ❤❤❤❤❤
This confirms I'm a So 5 but on a path of development. Thank you. 😊 btw, I love Lisbeth Salander character so much. Rooney Mara herself is also an Sp 5 from my observation.
I'm glad it checked out for you! David Fincher used the Enneagram with the cast for that film. Her portrayal of Lisbeth was excellent!
Very based type
No cap
Any tips for someone who is stuck between enneagram 4 and 7? I know those two seem very different but im somehow caught between the two
Have you read the Type descriptions on the Enneagram Institute website? I'd check those out and see if one of them "punches you in the face." www.enneagraminstitute.com/type-descriptions/
I personally believe Harry Potter fits better with the 8w9
I think there's a good case to be made for that, especially in the books (vs the movies).
I just took an Enneagram test and tied between type 1 and type 3. After watching this, I truly feel a type 1. Thank you so much for all the work that you do.
Thanks! That’s my hope… that people can see these characters and feel which ones they more relate to.
My mum is a enneagram 9, an amazing woman who has been through way too much. I always wondered why she wouldn't leave our abusive step dad growing up, it makes a bit more sense now know her type
I know of similar situations as well. It can very difficult for Nines to “muster the courage”, but it’s beautiful when they do!
Yeah my dad is type 1 and he can be pretty critical. I am 2w1 and also have a critical, angry side too haha.
I'm a One and my daughter is a Two so I can relate to that dynamic, lol.
Yeah I'm a Two and I hate being ignored or shut out.
Mario Sikora of ATA describes Type Two as "striving to feel Connected." So... that checks out.
Where is the video on Type 5 in Film and Television? Unable to see it in the video list

Smart!
i may be so/sx or sx/so because my sp is pure garbage
Lol, at least you got it narrowed down.
This is incredible. Thank you for this. I feel seen as an sx/sp 5.
I’m glad it connected with you!
The first enneagram video I've seen (and I feel like I've seen em all!) that leaves me actually feeling proud to be a Seven. Thank you.
That’s maybe the best compliment I’ve ever received on this series. I’m so happy to hear that! Yes, seeing yourself represented can hurt, but I know when I watch my own Type One video I feel proud to be a One. I’m glad you feel the same! And I aspire every day to be more like a Seven… “Be curious, not judgmental.”
Samwise Gamgee is a 6 not a 2.
I’ve never read the books but I think there’s a great argument for six in the movies. However that’s not really the point. There are some places where I have intentionally used a character that is definitely not that type as an example of a different type. It’s not about “typing characters.” It’s more about using specific scenes to demonstrate something specific about each type. If that makes sense.
@@TypeCast That's fair enough. As, in one sense, everyone is every type to a greater or lesser degree
Yes. Also these scenes are depicting external behaviors. Theoretically every single type could be doing the exact same external behavior but each doing it for very different internal reasons. So I could change out the quote and have it “fit“ for any time. But obviously some scenes are much more clear than others in terms of which type they make sense for.
Ooh I've watched this one already! I tore up a few times, just like I did with the other one heh. I feel like I understand it more than Im "supposed to" if that makes any sense.. I'll watch it again tho cos ngl when I watched it that time it wasn't cos I was considering 4 as mine, I just wanted to see beautiful movie clips till I got like halfway and went... Huh...
That moment when…
I... Wow. I think I'm a social four. I mean, out of all of them, it clicked most... Even if I didn't want it to. I don't like to think of how bad the comparison thing is. How bad I want to fit while knowing I don't. It's all... Sort of a mess? And so am I. But I think I'm a four. It feels correct, I guess. Thank you for this ❤️
Thanks! A good way of telling what your actual type is, or at least that you are in the right ballpark, is if the description punches you right in the face. If it doesn’t hurt then it’s almost certainly not right. Shameless plug but you should check out my other type four video on this channel and see if that resonates as well.
@@TypeCast yeah, I probably will :) for every other type I've listened to, it either didn't fit too right or I picked one piece of their puzzle and chose it as mine heh. That's not how it works though. This felt... Sort of.. Awkwardly accurate. Didn't like it especially the possibility that I'm a social four which feels like something I shouldn't be, if that makes sense? Anyway I'll def check out more, you're doing amazing work 😊
Let me know if that other video gives you any further insights.
So. Much. Tiny. Text.
Well that’s… kind of the point. Try watching full screen?
im stuck between so/sx and so/sp i relate to both sx and sp so much 😭😭
Personally I wouldn’t worry about trying to fit yourself into a specific box. Take what’s relevant from each and use it to grow. I used to think I was SP, then SX, now I think I’m about 50% each. Lol. The label is less important than what actually is.
What might an introverted social 1 look like..?
I wouldn't necessarily say that the Count is extroverted. But I'd have to think about a more explicit example in film of an introverted Social 1. Stay tuned...
@@TypeCast Count is hitting too close to home 😅 "oh no he's an extrovert, that's not me".
@@TheGerogero I had someone mention that Robin Wright in "State of Grace" is a good introverted Social One example. Check it out!
@@TypeCast Cheers!
My boyfriend is a 5 AND yes, he is this to a tee!!! I am a 7 and I love that we compliment each other. <3
A 5 and a 7... seems like a natural compliment to each other. As long as you don't kill each other.
Seems like im 9
Glad I could help with your self discovery.
What I find funny, is that the videos of 5 and 4 have the most views compared to the rest. It shows who really cares about this kind of stuff
Other "Enneagram content creators" I've spoken with have reported the same thing... content about Fours and Fives get double the views as the rest.
As a sexual/ self pres 4 Cruella was the perfect choice. The sense of competition and rivalry is very hard to manage
Thanks! I'm not a huge fan of all the live-action Disney remakes, but I *loved* Cruella.
Basically im a pussy
Any thoughts on Dexter Morgan being a 1?
I haven’t seen Dexter, but 10 years ago I did see Michael C. Hall on the street in New York.
