Ya when I was in the military, and I was a special operator, and we all wear G shock watches. Afew guys had the MTM Black Vulture, but they only wore them when we were back at base, never in the field.
I have seen a video from Irak vet. He showed his G2X (200 Lumen version) flashlight and said he used it in Irak and kept it used it for 10 years and it still works. But I still think SF is overpriced. What I dont like about SF the they build the body to slim that you cant run them on 18650ies. They want you to buy and use their CR123 batteries. But you also can run them on 16650ies. They dont tell you about this and dont sell any 16650ies rechargable batteries.
Bought a 'Silencer' circa 2003, testimonials claimed MTM watches had survived IED explosions, all that jazz. The watch broke 4 times, worn on my wrist doing nothing more dangerous than jogging (for example, the numerals fell off the face after about 4 months of wear... watch was made of titanium lol). Don't waste your money!
A long time ago I bought one of these watches at the MTM store in Barcelona, the model was the Patriot, the watch stopped working 3 months after purchasing it, I felt completely scammed. In the marketing they sell you a "high quality" watch, on the outside they look very attractive, and very resistant, they put sapphire crystal to add a feeling of quality and resistance. But they really aren't, what they have inside is just a cheap mechanism.
Bro is soooooo miserable 😂
You just saved me 1,000
This is a perfect example of overpriced garbage. NOT the best. Lousy battery life considering the power source plus the low lumens. Its price does not justify its performance in the least. Might as well buy a $30.00 head lamp that could easily outperform this technical dinosaur. Who wants to mount a flashlight to their wrist!? Stupid idea. Complete rip off. Buy WUBEN, Nitecore, Olight, or RovyVon flashlights.
Can someone please tell me if all mtm watches are like this one. I was looking at the special ops I believe black falcon. If this is the case, I'll be very disappointed.
Damn I was going to buy one I thought I found something amazing but after watching this I don’t even want it 😢so sad
Lol well I guess I won't waste my coins on mtm shit.
So what do you recommend for a great tactical watch. Not a fan of the casio
This is by far the funniest review of a product I have ever seen. If you would review a bunch of products like this you would have a million subscribers.
Awesome video. You should make a video review of EVERYTHING! I will watch them and subscribe. LOL.
anyone selling e2e executive elite?
Hahahahahahahahaha thank you for this video I almost bought this and you instantly changed my mind thanks brother you got a like and follow
Appreciate ya, you just saved me $350
I disagree about the light: I think it works excellently. If you’re using the flash light in a light room, I would imagine it wouldn’t be that bright - but that isn’t how you measure the quality of a watches light.
I like this guy, tells it how it is!
briliant review,100%agree with you
Good review. Thanks.
Surefire makes a good product, but they're ridiculously overpriced, especially for what you get. When you consider that Nitecore and others make incredibly good flashlights at a third of the price, it makes you wonder why they continue to mark up their product so high.
@@METRIKxv1 Yeah, I'm a Nitecore guy myself.
2022 I wanted to get back into watches and needed one for work thank you sir for video. Saw this watch pop up on Google feed.
Why did Paul Kim leave SF?
Also, watching your video makes me glad I kept my original M-6 Guardian from 2006. I don’t use the incandescent bulbs anymore, instead, every few years I just upgrade with an LED drop-in module with the newest CREE (or other) emitter. Still, 6xCr123s costs a fortune to operate even with an efficient emitter. I use a cheaper Streamlight with rechargeable for actual use. The Surefire is more of a collector item from the “Golden Age” of Surefire+Paul Kim.
I like the A2 Aviator on the table.
U.S.A. U.S.A. U.S.A.!
I have several Surefire flashlights and weapon lights. They range from 350 lumens to 1500 lumens. They all serve a purpose and do it very well. I don't need 20,000 lumens. I need and want a light that will work every time and when it doesn't work, the company will warranty it.
Funny how this is 6 years old and streamlight and surefire are just now giving us 1500 and 2000 lumens and charging way way way to much for what they actually do
240p???
Fool
good info
This guy has it so wrong! Surefire used 1 cr123 battery and made 300 lumen but 800 candela. The Chinese made flashlights use two CR's or an 18650 battery making a claim 1200 lumen which is really 600 lumen and only make 400 candela. The Chinese made lights need three times the battery and only make half the power and produce more heat. This is why Surefire is the best flashlight in the world
Chinese flashlight suck dick! Olight, Streamlight, Fenix and the rest suck dick.
I actually don’t like any current surefire lights because they are too bright. As leds become more efficient, you can either get more brightness/same runtime or same brightness/better runtime. One thing sure fire has always been good at it reflector/tir design. Getting the most out of the lumens available. I have an a2 aviator. Officially 50 lumens. It puts out a more useful beam than many 1000 lumen lights. I also have a maglite magtac. 325 lumens. Better than any 1000 lumen light. Because it’s a well engineered reflector. When I saw surefire start to enter the lumen war with overseas lights, I stopped buying them. Take the edclt2. 5 lumens low and 1200 lumen high. I’m not trying to flag down a passenger jet! It’s too bright for any practical use. Lower it to 300-400 and keep the same lens. And I’ll buy it again. I will agree with you though. Their tactical promotional material is pretty gross. They’re selling to armchair warriors with neck beards
i dropped my MTM and the fucking second hand fell off inside the case, junk.
Best review
Miss your videos you were the best
I dropped mine a few years back and one of the hands fell off as well as the accent around the date display. I sent it in MTM. They fixed it. One year I decided to change my battery myself. I do this normally. However, the first time the watch looked like it was sealed up so I was sent in. Now after I saw this video, I opened up the watch again and change the battery I noticed that sealing was gone just that big aluminum disk was in there. Just like he did in this video, I changed the battery the movement worked for about 5 seconds and stopped. Yup Crap.. I stick to Casio for work and miliary ops.
Chesp chinese knock off
I've used SureFire for over 20yrs and I can't say I agree with your opinion. I tried a Fenix about 10yrs ago and it went kaput in about 2months and forgot about getting it repaired. SureFire on the other hand I sent my E2 Defender to them in Fontana, California after something I did to the light and they fixed it sent an extra bulb and sent back free of charge + they gave me a check for the insured postage I spent sending down to them from Oregon. So .. I'm a #Surefire customer for life .
Yeah, looks good from the outside, But your review is almost what I expected!!!! I'm happy with my Seikos and Pulsars and Hamilton's!!
I bought my MTM VULTURE about 10 years ago . the case is pretty solid i love the look but the lnsides are garbage . ive had 2 repairs . the first time the seconds hand stopped under warrenty . the second repair all the hands stopped not no longer under warrenty They suggested the light system fitted would be at the end of its life after 8years so i had that replaced . about £200 + pounds the delivery costs from USA were $75 included in that cost .
Thanks I’m almost to buy a cobra cost me for $1400. Dollars what do you think? I think g shock it’s way better ? Let me know thanks
Deployment i was issued a Casio g shock usaf
I’m glad I watched this.
Surefire is like Apple phone no improvements lost market to chinese phones
These are hand assembled in USA. Yes some parts are made overseas (that's not unusual). As for durability and how long they will last I don't have evidence for that.
Faux President Joe Xiden's son Hunter Xiden said he can get me a great deal on Communist Chinese Tactical Flashlights out of Wuhan, China.
You are ready for a war 🤨
