Modder here, always love seeing people play my race. The version in this video is fairly old, Dragons have been rebalanced and many have had ability overhauls. The "fire" effect you saw on Stalkers is a Horned Magus ability called Fire Shield. It grants the target bonus armor and makes it deal damage over time to nearby units that do not also have fire shield. The cloaking ability was actually a bug, it has since been fixed and moved to a different unit and rebalanced. I am happy to answer any questions about the mod, and the All Races discord is a great place to find me and others in the custom races community.

That wasn't blinding cloud, that was dark swarm. It makes zerg units underneath it immune to ranged damage (with the exception of splash damage).

19:32 it is dark swarm not bliniding cloud and it stops range dmg delt to units in it. Only splash dmg some abilities and melee attacks will have effect 😊. Still thanks for great video 😃

It seems like protoss player don't understand what they should do with the advantage they got at all. He did great at the beginning, and managed to get base advantage but didn't utilized it properly. What they should do is play like a zerg - flood lots of dragoons + zealots, and trade zealots for tanks, then retreat with dragoons, build more zealots and repeat untill they win war of attrition. Oh, and don't waste army on minefields obviously.

Carriers were not upgraded to have 8 interceptors which is a pretty big blunder.+they were used too early. And 2-3 observers would have decreased spider mine casualties by a huge margin. Most ranged units even without+range upgrade outrange spider mine detection radius. Leg zealot can be used to lure mines into stationary tanks. An arbiter recall could have been used to "recall assault" a lightly guarded Terran base and cause damage there. This was a Protoss loss, not a Terran win.

The engineering bay can fly in SC1. Yeah, arbiters are pretty good units but cost 350 gas in SC1+long training time. Can do status to lower enemy count in an engagement or block access to higher ground etc. And recall can save units or be used as aggressive assault on the enemy base. They are kinda balanced and much better than SC2s mothership.

Zealot leg enhancement only increases movement speed. At late game you need arbiters with stasis if you want to overcome a heavily upgraded mech army as they scale way better than Protoss gateway units as the game goes on. Also the Protoss player didn't get the interceptor capacity upgrade which would've helped in the last battle.

SC1 zerg is an embarrassment. Or more specifically, anybody who loses to SC1 zerg or complains about it is an embarassment. It sucks in SC1, and it sucks 5 times harder in the evo mod. Yes some amazing people can win with it, and some people can win with cheeses and all ins.

Toss should have kept the Arbiter production together with the stasis ability (i don't remember the name) That would have effectively crushed down any terran death ball.

In brood war all terran buildings can fly except for the depots, bunkers, academy, turrets and add ons.

Spider mines were detectors, and Engineering Bays could takeoff. Supply Depots could not retract underground.

So satisfying that they kept the Zealot’s attack animation same as Broodwar’s. SC2 was more hacking and slashing, but Broodwar’s Zealots attacked by piercing their blades into their enemies. They even retained the sound effect too! Sooo amazing details! Love it!

Spider mines in SC1 would trigger in cloaked units. It does not reveal the unit to the Terran player, but the mine will still target the cloaked unit.

Yes, Spider mines from SC1 can attack cloaked units without detection. In the beta os Heart of the Swarm its was also a feature of the Widow Mine. but it was removed.

Terran became better as goliathes became easier to micro while carriers became harder to micro in sc2. Rather than PvT in broodwar, if u cant damage the protoss enough b4 full carrier transition, basically over for terran. Sc1 Z should suck ass though. Sc2 ultras have 500hp, does splash damage and queens behind to heal them, and yet they still arent that good. Then we have sc1 ultras that has 400hp and does single target dmg? The heck what a useless unit

original + broodwar starcraft engineering bay absolutely can fly. that's why the sc2 engineering bay actually has the lift/landing paws on it just like the unit producing structures. even though later in sc2 development they decided on having the E-bay not lift off. btw also the science facility can liftoff
