We were able to choose any dining room we wanted and were sat quickly. However, changes are being made this year. Here's a quote from their website: "Princess will designate separate dining rooms aboard every ship in the fleet to the three table service options - one dedicated to traditional dining offering an early and a late seating every evening; one offering reservable dining times; and a third with open seating to support walk-ins anytime." @@Coolme3333 We've read that December and January are best for seals and birds (penguin chicks hatch in January) and February is good for whale sightings. You'll also have more hours of daylight in these months, which may mean more frequent and longer zodiac rides and more chances to see animals! Hope that helps :)

It may depend on if Air France allows a cumulative measurement. Their website states the maximum dimensions of hand baggage allowed are: 21.7" x 13.8" x 9.9" (including pockets, wheels, and handles). Cumulatively that amounts to 45.4" total. The 20" Luminous bag comes in at 45.2 cumulative inches. However, the 20" Grace Carry-on does add up to 46.1" which is above their threshold. Yes, all of the guides spoke English during excursions, and all the crew spoke German and English. However, we sailed with a large group of Americans and Canadians so there were two groups that went out every day when we were in port - a German-speaking group and an English-speaking group. I will say, however, that even though we have pretty tough stomachs, we were ready with medications at our hotel if needed. We also took probiotics for a few weeks before our trip. Hello! The price really depends on the company you book through. Many guests on our sailing paid around 8k/pp thanks to a great deal found through a travel agency. Other, more luxury lines, can easily charge upwards of 25k/pp. I would say the average will be around 12k but we suggest shopping around to find the exact accommodation/package/inclusions/length that you want. Hello! As there are no public facilities in Antarctica, it's best not to drink too many fluids before an excursion. You're usually only off the ship for 1-3 hours max. However, in the case of an emergency, expedition leaders do carry small mobile toilets in their gear just in case.

We had a wonderful time! Honestly, everything went really smoothly, the crew was exceptional and we felt very well taken care of. The only less-than-stellar points were having to pay extra for drinks (we chose not to get a package and got them a la carte instead but other lines include drinks), and the food was not the best compared to other cruises. Otherwise, we recommend Albatros!
