Discovery Princess Day 4: Cruising the Endicott Arm, Whale Watching in Juneau, and Dinner in the MDR

- Ryan and Kelly sailed Alaska's Inside Passage on Discovery Princess. In this video series, they share with you their complete cruise experience! See how they spend sea days exploring the ship, and port days with excursions in Ketchikan, Juneau, and Skagway, Alaska.
On Day 4, we wake up and take in some scenic cruising in the Endicott Arm before grabbing some specialty coffees and heading into Juneau for a whale-watching excursion with Gastineau Guiding! After a successful outing, it's back onboard for dinner in the Skagway Dining Room!

Oh, thank you! I use the Conair Double Ceramic 1-inch Curling Wand and then I gently brush through it. The waves last longer than a traditional curling iron, too! Have a wonderful cruise in June! Thanks so much for watching :)
Question, do you have to make reservations in the different MDR?
We were able to choose any dining room we wanted and were sat quickly. However, changes are being made this year. Here's a quote from their website: "Princess will designate separate dining rooms aboard every ship in the fleet to the three table service options - one dedicated to traditional dining offering an early and a late seating every evening; one offering reservable dining times; and a third with open seating to support walk-ins anytime." Thanks for the great video! You too are adorable. How do you eat so much and not gain a ton of weight? any tips?
Hi, Julie! Thanks so much for watching! We've definitely gained weight on cruises before! 😆 But our tips include eating a lot of protein to stay fuller longer, reserving calories for dinner (especially the specialty restaurants!), being as active as possible (we like more active excursions and running around the ship filming our vlogs doesn't hurt!), and keeping alcohol and too many desserts to a minimum. Sugar is my weakness! Portion control, too - eating in the dining room more than the buffet can help when your eyes are bigger than your stomach :) We hope that helps! Most of the whales we saw were during this day's excursion. From the ship, we saw one humpback and one black bear on the shoreline. When we cruised with UnCruise a year before, we saw a lot more wildlife but that's mostly because it's a small expedition ship so it can sail closer to shore and go down more narrow fjords. Hope that helps!

Beware of using binoculars furnished on whale watching tours! My SIL got a bad case of pink eye!!!
