My ancient ancestor Thomas Dickson, son of Richard Keith and cousin to Sir James Douglas, fought alongside William Wallace, Robert the Bruce and lastly Sir James Douglas his cousin. Sir Douglas wanting to retake his castle back from the English took some men, after fighting alongside Robert the Bruce, and planned an attack along with Thomas Dickson at the Dickson farm not far from Castle Dougla...

Just bought the 2022 Honda Navi. I have about 20 miles on it so far because of cold weather but she far it is a kick in the butt.. 120 mpg now that gas is 5.00 a gal is a godsend for riding around town.

Thanks for the video. I was wondering if you could show how to fill it in and put fuel from it to your motorcycle (for security purpose) and also explain what is the small cap used for ?
My dad is Thomas Milton Dickson, Jr of the Keith Clan. His dad is Thomas Milton Dickson, Sr and I have pictures of him in his clan plaid kilt. He was older than most dads as he was born in 1890 and was in WW I. My dad has traced much of the ancestry in Scotland. (We also have a strong native American ancestry, too.) My DNA test is strong on the Scottish side. I will be visiting Scotland basing ourselves in Edinburgh mid August. My son is named Trevor Dickson Neuhoff. Where should we visit to see more of the ancestral lands?
Sanquhaur castle ruins were another of the properties owned by the Dickson's. ( I spell my last name Dixon) I suppose it's changed somewhere around the time of the Jacobite risings (the last being about 1742 with Bonnie Prince Charles) try reading "The border or riding clans" by Benjamin Homer Dixon 1842-1911. It lists several properties and lots of other info as well. It states the Dixon's were very wealthy and could travel from the north to the south of Scotland staying each night in one of their own castles. I have also found some traces that link the Dixon's of buhtrig(now Berwick) directly to Robert Bruce himself. I find all this fascinating.

Yes, absolutely...The Dickson line is a very interesting clan and history...Watch the movie Outlaw King. Thomas Dickson is in the movie. He is cousin to the great Sir James Douglas and fought alongside him and Robert the Bruce and William Wallace also. I will return to Scotland again, I am going to Ireland in two weeks.
I have a Drz 400e that has a big bore and SM conversion ......no Major Problem apart from needs the wiring sorted a bit .....great bike I rode the Standard Drz and seemed plenty quick enough !! 😊

@@user-xt5oe2gm5v Haaa, I'm not a salesman but I do like to give out helpful info...So far its been a real neat little camper that I have no issues with yet. I did a video on my trip from Illinois to Tombstone Arizona and back, approx 3650 miles total if you care to watch.
If that is 15 feet long my ass is brown.

Ok, good advice..Always do good maintenance on things...I always do 5000 mile oil changes on my vehicle as well..Thanks for the input
@imyourhuckleberry357 u can't tell me I'm wrong they build these so fast that they don't forget to put glue in places or not enouph I'm I liked in these for years and the seams always leek first I just with they was cheaper there to expensive

@@leasttrending Yes. This trailer weighs 2700 pounds dry and is meant for two adults or maybe even two adults and one child. It's been a nice camper so far.
Beware of Forest River/Rockwood/Flagstaff models. Mine had serious manufacturing defects which they admitted to, towed the camper back to the factory, then proceeded to return it to me severely damaged. They've agreed to fix the easy, cheap stuff but not the expensive, important stuff. If you think I'm just one disgruntled customer, take a look at the Better Business Bureau's Forest River page - 1 star out of 5. If I can help just one person not go through the months long agony and financial hardship I have, it will be enough. Thanks for reading.
Oh yeah, I believe it. The trailer manufacturer industry as a whole is rife with shoddy workmanship and quality.. Knock on wood, so far, my trailer has been good. Not saying all are but in my case it has been a pleasant experience....Thanks for commenting...
I am also a Dixon my earliest descendent on the family tree is William Dixon sr. 1740. Along with many other Scottish surnames in the tree, it’s very intriguing to learn my heritage
It absolutely is...When I visited the site the hairs on my arms were literally standing on end. If you get a chance watch the movie " Outlaw King" with Chris Pine as Robert the Bruce. Our ancestor Thomas is in the movie. He is also in the book " Castle dangerous" by Sir Walter Scott....Thanks for the comment.

It is truly a great camper for me...I took it out three times this year for a total of 4300 miles..It has been a great camper so far. Only thing I have had gone wrong was the little cover for the heater vent screws came loose while going over rough roads through the White Sands NP. Screw them back in no prob.

Can a van tow this? Very nice, can it survive a Buffalo winter?
I tow it with a Toyota Tacoma 4x4 with a 2.7 Liter 4 cylinder engine and a manual transmission. My tow rating is 3500 pounds and I pull it fine..Not the fastest in the world but I keep it at 55 to 60 pulling it. I live in northern Illinois and it gets negative 30 to 40 here in the winter and it did just fine. I winterized it and put a cover on it.

I have a 2017 Toyota Tacoma 4x4...2.7L four cylinder with manual transmission..I averaged about 14 mpg with the trailer. You most likely have the 6 cylinder automatic transmission so it will be different.
