Have you actually tried the Zero Compromise ZC527 scope?
21:09 Same here. I had a Bergara B-14 HMR. They seemed to have a good reputation and I thought I sucked because the best I could shoot was about 1.2 MOA on average for 5-shot groups with the best handload I could work up for the rifle. With the factory ammo Bergara recommended I was getting ~1.5 MOA 5-shot groups. I got a Tikka CTR and on my first range session I couldn't believe the difference. I averaged under 0.5 MOA for 6 5-shot groups (30 shots total) with the first random load I tried in the gun. My Bergara made me think I sucked at shooting. It turns out the gun was a turd. BTW, I sent it back to Bergara twice to get it fixed. They never fixed it and the 2nd time they sent it back there was rust all over the bolt and inside the barrel. I asked for a refund since they damaged the gun but they accused me of lying and wouldn't respond to any of my e-mails/communications anymore. Anyway, I sold that piece of junk.
Thank you friend for your videos.I want to buy that TIKKA in 308 win and i want to ask you if i could order it from the company with a 26" barrel and if you could advise me for a good silencer to reduse as much the noice.
Can this gun be purchased in a 204
I am the destroyer of scope caps. So far ive busted 11 sets off my go-to AR with its PA 1-8x ACSS scope. Most were cheap caps, the ones that come from PA, Butler Creek etc. Ive busted up a Vortex as well, so im looking for something solid now, maybe even aluminum. Might have to give these a shot. Thanks for the info.
Want to buy it
What are the torque specs for all screws when you put it back?
Happy to hear all the good news, god bless you and your family man.
What is the thickness of the outer ring?
That can't be good that your front scope cap is touching your rail?
Almost 40 minutes-you must be kidding? Was my first thought, but here I am and I must admit that it was 40 really good and very informative 40 minutes I ever spent here on CZcams with this kind of videos. Thanks dude-you’re very good narrator!
33:27 This is what I thought before I got a Tikka CTR Stainless in 6.5 Creedmoor. It averages below 0.5 MOA for 5-shot groups with every bullet I've tried in it. I used to think I wasn't a good shooter. It turns out the rifles I was shooting just weren't capable of shooting small groups.
As a lefty looking for a good gun with a reasonable price, the T3x TAC A1 still seems like the best option. I would love a SAKO TRG (which you can get a used one a bit cheaper than a new T3x TAC A1 here in Finland at the moment), but I'm repelled by the fact that the action comes only as right-handed.
They are basically the same gun.
Contacted the owner to see if I could get a deal on ordering multiple. Ordered 2 pairs for 2 of my Steiner p4xi's, a set for my delta Stryker 1-6, and a set for razer HD LPVO. Got all 4 for 300 even!
I've traded my Sig Sauer p365 xmacro comp for a Glock 19 gen 5
What pistol grip is that? What model? If you don’t mind
Magpul MIAD. I like it because it has inserts you can store things in.
Love mine chambered in 6.5 CM. Loading 140 ELDM behind 42.3 gr H4350 with Lapua brass. Shooting sub-half MOA with 25 hot zero. This thing is a tac driver.
Bought one in 2018. Super, super, super accurate right out of the box. Originally i had a Steiner T5xi 5-25x56 with SCR reticle on it. First time i tried to hit a milk jug at 1,000 yards i used the holds at 18x. I aimed at a clay pigeon in the burm and my DOPE was high so i adjusted my hold and literally hit the jug on the very first shot. Crazy. That was at a range, deep in the forest in GA. I have since moved out to the desert about 3+ yrs ago. Since moving here, i have learned how to shoot in the wind. Totally different experience compared to GA. Way, way harder. Now i have a NF ATACR 7-35x56 with Mil-XT reticle on the Tikka. Just a Totally Awesome optic all the way around... including that reticle. I have hit a soda can at 1,006 yards in 3 shots. I have hit a soda can at 1,380 yards in 14 shots in a 15mph 90 degree cross wind and horrible mirage. I have made all kinds of crazy, difficult shots with the Tikka Tac A1. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Mine is 6.5CM. Don't let the haters dissuade you from the caliber. It is a tremendous caliber. The most recent awesome thing i did... which was not to long ago... was i decided to go for a 5 shot group at 750 yards across a valley and i kid you not... 0.477 MOA or 3.58". I was astonished at how i did... first and only attempt as well. The videos of both soda can hits and the 5 shot, sub 1/2 MOA group at 750 yards are all posted to Long Range Shooters of Utah. I was going to start a channel and put it on as many social media platforms as made sense... but the BLM recently shut down the area i have been shooting the last 3 yrs so i'm really not sure what i'm going to do now. I'm a former US Army Ranger.... i was going to cover some combat medicine... long range shooting... a few reviews of things i like and use in the tactical realm.... but now i may just can all that since my shooting area is no more. Let me also say this... Because the Tikka Tac A1 was so awesome... i purchased a Tikka T3x Super Varmint in 6.5 PRC. The accuracy is nowhere near as awesome as the Tac A1. best i got with 3 different kinds of ammo was 1MOA with Norma Golden Target, which was the slowest of the 3. The whole point of the PRC is that it should shoot about 200 fps faster than a CM, "in theory". Mine wasn't doing that. After all, Tikka's are notoriously "SLOW" shooters. I decided to put "lipstick on a pig" and literally purchased a $1.5k MDT ACC Premier chassis. The accuracy.... well, it didn't improve. So for ALL of you thinking you'll just tinker with the T3X.... go for it... but the Tac A1 with it's heavy ass, rock solid chassis... is where it's at for accurately shooting in the prone or bench... personally, i like shooting in the prone... as i would in the field. If you want PRS balance for obstacles... knock yourself out and get a chassis. I will continue putting lipstick on a pig since i'm going to use this new PRC as my hunting rifle and i'll be getting a Proof Carbon Fiber barrel for it. That should improve accuracy AND speed. I also have to say that i hate the fluted bolt on the Super Varmint. It's wobbly and sloppy feeling. The Tac A1 is rock fucking solid and smooth as silk. I tend to think a wobbly bolt like that may affect accuracy negatively.
What buffer tube and buffer weight did you use. Building my first AR Pistol.
Just got this chassis.Going on a CTR I've ordered. Thanks for the video.
you can buy the tac a1 chassis? are you putting the CTR receiver and barrel on it?
@@anthonyt4981 hi Anthony did you successfully put the CTR into the tacA1 chassis, anything l should be aware of as l intend doing exactly the same thing. Thanks.
@@johnbrown2559 I own a complete tikka t3x tac a1 rifle.
Now that is a great informative video !
Im interested in building an sbr ive built a rifle, with the sbr can i build just a pistol with no brace and leave the buffer tube assembly and then later after the form is approved slap on any shoulder style stock?
Yessir. Obviously you should double check your state laws and regulations, but federally yes.
I actually got this gun (in 260 rem) a few months ago as an intro gun to f-class. Still working up loads, but it's a blast to shoot and a bunch of friends are amazed with it too.
Try some vihtavuouri N555 and berger hybrids. Amazing.
@@camonly849 I've tried (and was happy with) Hornady ELD 140 grn with H4350. Getting sub moa on everything and a good number are sub half moa.
"This gun always leaves me smiling" Yep, that's how I feel about mine. In fact when I go to the range I always shoot it last because I always leave the range with a smile as with good ammo it always shoots 1/2moa ish.
Glad to see you doing another review on this great rifle. You inspired me to get this rifle and I have zero regrets
Indeed. Abolish the ATF
Welcome back
thank you!!! my biggest concerns answered within 5 minutes! i'm surprised to hear it's a hammer forged, i was hoping and thinking it was a button barreled rifle but 0.5 MOA is 0.5 MOA regardless. this is my next rifle without a doubt.
Ciao...ottima recensione bellissima arma. Sono molto indeciso se comprare questa o la Sako S20
Thanks for the vid. Got a link for the chronograph? I'm in the states...
Hi, can anyone tell me which grip is this one? Thank you.
Thought you could adjust the trigger by just removing the mag?
I love my T3X Tac A1. Looks like a great barrel upgrade even if unintended.
Gun stores where I live are still recommending the Tikka T3X TAC A1 package as being not only great value but a superb rifle. I just purchased one.
This or Sako trga1
Thanks for sharing, been looking for a while now, for long range chassis style rifle, really like the Christianson but several users have said the bolt is a problem, also after research I would prefer the 7mm prc which tikka doesn't make or will they? have not looked at scopes yet, yours looks sweet but OMG the price!
Christensen has had many quality control issues over the years. I would stay away. As far as scopes go, I would set your budget based on how often or how serious your shooting is. It’s not uncommon for me to shoot 1000 rounds a year on my prediction rifle so it’s worth it. I also just like it haha. If you’re gonna shoot targets like a normal person, the Vortex products are good and Arken optics are a really great value. I’m sure they will do 7mm PRC one day, but I don’t think that’s a very good value cartridge. Great for hunting though!
I traded my 19 yeah i known i know
My two carry guns are this, and my 19 with a Holosun.
@@amorphousgear2085 I still have my glock 45 great handgun
You are not seeing a 2 MOA target at 200 yards with your naked eye unless it contrasts against the background it's impressive for a new shooter to hit that on the first shot for sure.
Which scope is that? Spelling and website please. Also the mounts are sweet!
It’s the Kahles K64i. www.kahles.at/us/sport/riflescopes/k624i-6-24x56i_us

@@amorphousgear2085 its kinda like a car accident, u dont wanna look but cant help it 🤷♂️
Can you link me to your EDC video so that I can be better informed?
Would you still recommend this rifle after five years vs. new offerings from other manufacturers?
Absolutely.
I got the tikka upr, which is this exact gun, but with a stock instead of a chassis. It's lighter weight for hunting and I can also use it for competition. Can't go wrong with either of them. Shot a .25" group at 100 with berger 130gr hybrids. Good luck.
I have a sig p365 and sig p365xl, I have over 5000 rounds through them both and they are very reliable, no malfunctions, no light primer strikes, no issues what so ever. Definitely need an uplula for loading. The springs for the magazine are really stiff, even after 5000 rounds the magazines are still pretty stiff.
I have one on order. I can’t wait. Haven’t done long distance shooting in about 15 years. I can’t wait, I super pumped by watching several videos about precision rifles. The tikka t3x tac a1 really stands out. Now I gotta get a scope.
Don’t skimp…lol
Also make sure to watch my five year review I just put up!
I have a tikka tac a1 in 6.5 cm with a burris eliminator 3 and a hausken supressor. Loving it a bit expensive ammo tho
Nice. Reloading helps!!!
Can you guys do a gel test with s&b 6.5 cm fmjbt
Great review. I bought mine cause of your last video and aiming to have a close set up. Appreciate the content and glad it’s family and kids time! Same here but we will shoot when we can 🎉 Peace and Gods blessings!
That means a lot. You’ll love it.
Thanks for the update. What is the other thing you have bolted to the bottom of the handguard behind the short section of picatinny rail?
I forgot to cover that! That’s the Magpul RC2 tripod adapter. It allows it to click right into a manfrotto RC2 head. The ARCA rail is the more popular solution but more money. magpul.com/m-lok-tripod-adapter.html
Who is the Producer from the Scopecaps?I want them.
