Cool little gym!! Just so you know that Ghd slash back extention machine is for women!! They make the ghd with the double pad with a gap between them so your junk doesn't get smashed! Believe me my first one had a solid pad on it. When I actually tried the other style ghd I immediately sold my first one and purchased an upgraded style. What a difference...lol

4:14 Cable station second or third on the list? I would say that it depends if you have space for cable station, power rack and especially wight machines that do only one thing. You can have a home gym without cable station, get one only if you have space for it, and money. You can imitate cable station using resistance bands. You have a hidden cost to your home gym, if it uses up considerable amount of living space in your house. If you have a 10000 square foot house, and of it 2000 is used for dedicated gym inside that house. You spend 1000 USD/month on your house, than you can divide that expense to your living space and gym. 800$/month living space 200$/month - or 2400$/year for your dedicated home gym room (that used to be living room).

Vendetta attachments would be needed for that to be not a total pain in the butt every time to set up for any load 10rm or less. I could (and did) buy a great back machine, chest press machine, and shoulder press variation for less than the cost of lever arms + vendetta attachments

For the lat pulldown you can get a 47in double hook straight bar. I got mine from Bells Of Steel. It is roughly 20lbs. Inhave used it to hold my knees for heavier pull downs. Keep in mind you may want to get some foam or something to pad it. The heavier you fo the more uncomfortable the bar bar is. I bought the bar for shoulder presses and found some other uses for it lol.

This rings so true to me. I’ve always lifted on a calorie deficit because at some point around the 3 month timeframe I lose that motivation/discipline. Going into it this time around I’ve scaled everything back a bunch. Hitting the weights full body 2 times a week which is a lot more doable and some walking sprinkled throughout the week. I’ve been feeling great with this approach in the sense that I don’t feel like I’ve changed too much of my life for this and still making progress. Not focusing too much on the scale but clothes definitely are fitting better. To your point, I was already thinking of going into a short maintenance and then surplus around that 3 month mark to combat that demotivation so you saying this really made me feel like my head and approach is the right one. Thank you sir.

I got a bunch of attachments for my rack, and I liked them. But I'm currently replacing them with machines because they just take up too much space on the rack to the point where it makes it almost impossible to use the rack for it's intended purpose, and I don't want to mess around with 120lb attachments before every workout or configuring the machine to do something else. On top of that is the strength curve thing and most of the attachments end up costing the same or more than the cheap machines. Also since it's my space, I found that I like to just leave my last lifted weights on them and it makes working out nice because everything is already set up for your next session.
