This doesn’t actually work properly. It looks nice for a little while but then the underlying issue will break through and make it look like as it did. I did my own plus my dads car, and it looked nice when I sprayed the Clearcoat after a sand, but after a month it looked like the underlying problem broke through and cracked the clear coat I had sprayed on. The clear coat method will work if it’s not bubbly like the OPs video, where you can just see the paint, but when it’s like this, to get it to a good state, you have to repaint it in my opinion
Huge shout out to blake for that shirt!
Still one of my favorites.
Could you just get to the point!
No
Hmmm, might have to try this on the wife's car. That thing needs it bad.
It does work well as long as you know what you are getting :)
I have watched a couple video in this is the best by far. Right to it... My man. Thank you.
Thank you so much. This really is a great comment
I had a truck with the 6.2L diesel and i loved it, 400,000 miles before the truck was retired. Or in short when i flipped 4 times down the highway... Even than the big thing i remember after the rollover is the engine still running....
I totally agree. The 6.2 doesn’t get the love that it deserves.
Hello , and after adding it to the oil, how long will it add more AT 205 again to the vehicle, or it's only once
I have found in the past that adding it once to your oil, can resolve the problem, but after an oil change, if the leak comes back, you may need to add at each oil change
Could you put painters tape or Vaseline on your tools to make clean up easly
I’m sure you could. :)
Cannot .. believe as a Blind man with Medical Glasses - used in this Job..
It was used. Something was used.
I have used at 205 in mini cooper s convertible 2011, by when time I have to wait for the liqueo to stop , and also how long this liquid lasts , I have to use at 205 again. please if you can help me thank you
They say after you add this to your oil you need to drive for a total of 5 hours before the 205 has time to work.
If the gasket is defective, can coolant flow into the engine oil ring?
It could happen but most likely not. You would see the leak first.
Now we need an engine coolants flush
That’s a great idea. Thank you.
😂 well Mr John you no longer welcome to Bentley dealership 😂 them cold biscuits and teas are done 😂. You save us a $1000 for oil change in 20 minutes 😊
😂😂😂 this is so true. 😂
What color is that? So nice
Thank you so much. That’s a great question. Plan B did the job but to me it’s a Nardo Gray.
Big thanks man
Thank you for watching.
For the front brake pads I removed the 2 13mm bolts but caliper will not slide off? Any solutions
Most likely you need to compress the caliper just a little bit. You can do this in many ways. The most important part is that you do not hit the rotor. You can use a screwdriver as a pry bar to get the piston of the caliper to go back just a hair or you can try to use a clamp to compress it.
@@JohnEngel thank you for the advice I will give it a try👍 when trying to remove it sounds like it’s hitting somewhere like metal restricting it from sliding off. Will definitely try to compress it before removing thanks 👍
Really like the Gary Foo Ducktail...but what others did you consider?
I looked at so many. The reason I went with Gary is because of the scalloped style and I could get it painted from him. It’s a great ducktail and I get compliments on it all the time.
@@JohnEngel I agree. It's the leading choice right now. I've also been looking at the Pdi Design Innovations version (a bit more squared off - like the RS 2.7) but can't tell if they are still in business - they seem to only communicate via Insta.
I used AT205 and my power steering fluid doesn't leak anymore. I went online and bought 2 bottles on Amazon 4 days ago and I received it today and open one of the bottles. It has NO SMELL. But the two bottles I bought several months ago have a strong smell. I am wondering if I received fake products. Anyone know if the manufacturer has changed the formula and now has no smell ???
I have heard of fake products and I hope that’s not the case. When I used it I did not notice a smell but I opened and dumped it quick.
Just did my hemi charger. Looks beautiful ❤️
Outstanding :)
It’s got glass lens
@@xpress7578 the bmw has plastic.
Hi John, my Bentley 2010 supersports got flat battery. I am not sure if it is the small (Right side) battery or the big one(Left side). The symptom is the door and hood cannot open. I have to use the key to open the door and start the car with left and right turn. Can you advise if this is the small or big battery is weak?
To be honest I would check both batteries. You can use a simple voltmeter and see the voltage of the each battery. I am guessing that it’s the small battery seeing that you can do the left to right key start but most of the time I have replaced both.
Anybody else feel like they were in the Dentist there.
I truly have a fear of the dentist and now every time I do this process, this is what I’m going to think about
Good job Gamecock!
They are my team. :)
You failed to do two steps that will prevent problems down the road. You forgot to put a micrometer on the rotors and measure the thickness of them to ensure they will not collapse from the new pads wear them down more. Second, you did not resurface or sand/score the used rotors to seat the new pads to prevent glazing and brake failure withing the next couple hundred miles. Otherwise, your video was good.👍👍
Great point. We ended up replacing them after. We just didn’t have them in time for the video.
Wouldn’t removing the Valve cover give you easy access to the bolt that’s difficult to reach when trying to remove the oil housing?
That’s a good question.
This car is a pre-facelift,the front end plastics always take a bashing due it being quite low compared to other 2 seat sports cars, mine had most the corner lower guards busted or completely missing, finding the parts for this car are to say the least, challenging, mine has the n52b30 (3.0si) engine, looks nothing like the engine in this car,and parts are wildly expensive.do you get what you pay for? in truth? if it's serviced and clean..keep hold of it,as an aside, the cooling system can be an issue, cracking expansion bottle being the common one and water pumps giving up the ghost and cam cover gaskets can leak and drip onto the exhaust manifold.keep it clean drive it mean..they're not perfect, but when they are it's a joy to crack open on the road and have some fun.
Well stated. Thank you.
Hey John, did you connect the "constant power"? I found that after I turn the car off the radio is still on. Thanks for your time.
If I remember correctly I did. I do recall that some of the wires were labeled incorrectly so you have to make sure that each is hooked up to the correct spot, not just the color.
Did you connect additional charger to avoid computer failure during batteries changing
I did not. I just undid the one and installed the new one.
@@JohnEngel thank you 👍. As I understand everything is ok after changing .
@@alexsulzhits4247 I had no issues at all.
@@JohnEngel thank my friend 🤝
Skip ahead to 3:30 and he finally gets to the brakes 👍
Ouch. You must be fun at a party. Lol.
Thanks for sharing. I bought product , going to apply soon.
You will love it.
Hello, thank you for putting this video together, I ran into the sam issue today, found out my Porsche is also with the Bose system and I ordered the harness. I ordered previously the same ATOTO CarPlay unit. Is there any way you can share a diagram (if you have or something) that shows how you connected all the wires with the crimp terminals?
Thank you so much. Unfortunately, I don’t have a diagram. I just used the labels that came with each of the harnesses and connect the matching ones.
Was the wrench used with another extension or by itself? It doesn’t seem long enough to reach that bolt by itself. Thanks for putting the video together.
Great question. The wrench was used by it self.
@@JohnEngel Thanks for the response. Couldn’t get a proper reach in my case so I threw in the towel and went in through the front.
@@ManasShirgaokar it’s tight for sure.
Was the wrench used with another extension or by itself? It doesn’t seem long enough to reach that bolt by itself. Thanks for putting the video together.
Did the product do the cutting or did you have t bare down pretty hard ?
I used both. I did give a firm pressure but the product does the most work.
Thats svttt🤯🤯🤯🤯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
still one of my favorites for sure.
In America a set is $120 for 6. In australia a set is $950. Wtfs with that!
that's crazy.
Can it fix a piston seal?
That’s a great question. It really comes down to what type of seal you are using.
Did you sand before hand or grind it down?
I did not. Great question.
What i notice about owning a humvee is that every tells me they like my jeep...
lol. This is true also Jeep people seem to accept them as one of their own.
Thank you so much!!!
So glad it was helpful. Thank you.
Good job
Thank you for watching.
At the 3:35 min mark, you mention the thin area that you can barely get a wrench in. It is a 17mm and I found a set of metric open end wrenches that fit right in. The width of the thin area is just a hair over 3/16. I tried needle nose vice grips and I almost stripped it so I needed something more precise. The bolt weren’t easy to break, after 4 years. Just make sure you got the right tools, before you start. Once I had everything, it went really fast. Honestly, the hardest part was taking of the tires.
Thank you so much.
@@JohnEngel - You did me the favor with the fantastic video, John! I guess we all help each other out and that’s the beauty of it. I really enjoy doing my own maintenance and I enjoy seeing how others do it. I don’t know everything and I always learn so much from other folks. One more thing I did that might be of use. I used a 6” C-clamp on the caliper while it was installed with the old brake pads against the rotor to expand the caliper. It worked incredibly well instead of risking the chance of letting the caliper dangle while I did it. It made it real easy to remove and reinstall with the new pads on and eliminated an entire step. Just need to make sure the brake line and electrical connectors don’t get pinched. Really appreciate you sharing and interacting! What a fantastic channel you got! You’re really helping us out. Keep up the good work and God bless, Mr. Engel!
Thanks for this video! We are doing a similar “Raptor Style Conversion” on a 2005 Excursion diesel. This was super helpful!! We’d love your thoughts on our project when we post it!
Absolutely. Keep me posted.
Just got quote of $1100 😢😢
That’s crazy.
At 4.13 did you ever verify and share if the cables were mislabled?
Unfortunately, I had to go with a different wiring harness, so it became a mute point at the end. However, that harness is mislabeled.
I CANNOT RECOMMEND pouring into a hot engine. I once damaged my engine by pouring cold fluids into a hot engine. You’re in a warmer climate and that’s not a large volume of fluid so less risk of shock but be careful. metal expands and contracts with hot and cold and that crankcase is piping hot at 195F+ with some areas about to get soaked in fluid that’s ~70F Also. Be brave! brake cleaner is great for finding oil leaks because it not only cleans well but it DRIES SUPER FAST!
Great point. Thank you.
Okay, big TY For this review and recommendation. I bought mine came in last Saturday and used it for my Lawn Mower tires today. Saved so much time not having to get extension cord, compressor, hoses and the attachments. 4 minutes all tires at 26 psi and one was completely flat.
That’s awesome. I used it today to add 4psi to each of my daily drivers tires. So much easier than starting up the old air compressor.
I have a 2015 but I don’t have an electric E brake
so much easier without.
Next time get a wire saw and you can remove half of the stock front plastic bushing by sawing it out easily. This will get you another half inch or more up front 👍
That’s great to know. Thank you.
I saw your video on using 205 product and I had a customer 2003 5.9 dodge ram van with a leaking rear main seal and it was 2 quarts low in oil so I open each quarts and pour half of into the engine and bought 2 bottles of the 205 and I added 1 bottle of the 205 to each quart of oil and shook it up and with the engine running I added to the motor and let it run for a hour the leaking stop and hasn't returned I'm a mechanic of 40 + yrs and this is the best product I've ever used .ken's automotive God bless you
Thank you so much. I also agree with you. This product actually works in a sea of products that don’t.
Firstly, to PROPERLY bolt either one down the stanchions must be anchored into a piling cap with a depth no less than 12" for proper structural support. It's these lil DETAILS that folks do not take into consideration cause most garage floor pads are 4" of concrete and are NOT Structurally rated. Afixing a lift on this surface is simply a disaster waiting to happen. For instance, Cracked floors (weakening the area entirely), these cracks can splinter all the way into the foundational footer and your beautiful home is now an expensive structural repair disaster. AND the bottom of the stanchion supports are supposed to extend out encompassing the entire underside as a BASE Column Fix point. The entire column support and base support can be poured at one time, allowed to cure for three days before patching the floor and maybe epoxying the floor but full structural strength is not achieved for 30 days. And the entire column must be reinforced with rebar steel embedded in it.
While I don’t have any information that is this detailed, neither set of instructions for the lifts mentioned what you have stated.
@@JohnEngel So you really think that someone is gonna spell out in detail EVERYTHING REQUIRED to install the lifts properly? Your foolish. They sold it to you and its up to YOU to know what is required.
@@anonimous2451 I’m not saying you are right or wrong. Don’t get too upset over a comment on YT. :)
