I have several 2 stroke engines some 40:1 and some 50:1. I've been running 45:1 for many years without problems. Far more important is fresh non-ethanol gas.

Actually the MS250 has 3.1 bhp so... it's more powerful. The only advantage of the MS251 is it's more fuel efficent and has less vibrations, but you actually are paying for it, it's a lie that the price is the same for both. So in conclusion: go with the MS250

I have emptied old gas and put new. I have changed spark plug, air filter and fuel filter. I have checked the plug spark. It is blue but seems weak. It still won't start. Any suggestions. BTW the plug does not get wet. I have put gas in the carburetor and even wet the plug. Still doesn't start.

The ms205 is the newer version of the 025. The 251 is the woke version of the ms250. My 025 is 32 years old and still going strong. I somehow don't think anyone will say that about the 251.

Horrible video. Some of the saws used where not the saws being reviewed and one was a Chinese knockoff. Is that oil or fuel stabilizer being added to the fuel tank? Next time leave out all the fluff and just leave in the in-depth looks at the saws which I do like. And give a human a job instead of robot guy to narrate.

Never, EVER use 50:1, but 40:1. Why? 50:1 is too little and 33:1 is too much. You're welcome.

Dont waste $1700 on a computerized saw that you can not work on! The chainsaw was perfected in the 90s. The dealers want you to buy computerized saws so that you have to run back to them cap in hand to fix it. I have a Stihl 044 that was made in the early 90s that has 5.4 hp at 14 pounds, and stil cuts and runs like a scalded ape. Thats not a huge leap in technology after over 30 years to get the non mtronic 462.

What you don't say is that they are both extremely hard to start because they have a high compression. I have a 251 and am considering swapping it because of this. An inertia starter would help but it can't be converted.

First of all you said the MS 250 has the advantage in terms of fuel capacity! Yet, the MS 251 gets better fuel efficiency by 20% so even though the tank is slightly smaller it gets much longer on a tank of fuel! To conclude I will simply say there is nothing worse than an uneducated person posting a video and giving uneducated answers

Enough of this emissions bullshit. Every time I see models focused on emissions, I also see a drastic increase in complaints over power/efficiency, startup reliability, etc. These things are too expensive to keep f'n them up because of absurd over-reaching regulations and virtue signaling. Stop pushing that bullshit, a chainsaw is creating any notable greenhouse gasses. Also, is this AI reading? If not, learn how to say "carburetor".

The less amount of oil in the mixture, the more the wear. Raced and tuned two strokes for many years. Eve was witness to a 500cc race bike that was acidently run with no oil. It ran 2 days riding and ran good, but lost compression and hard to start. Even straight gas will lubricate somewhat. The more oil in the mix actually makes for a leaner air fuel mix due to the fuel being thicker. The adjustment of the fuel to air mixture can also even 20 to 1 to burn with exhaust being dry, and no slooge. There will be less wear at 20 to 1 than there is at 40 to 1 or 50 to 1, especially at 80 to 1. But correct air fuel ratio is of utmost importance, and is easily adjusted.
