Am I crazy? Or did I hear somewhere that they dedicated “Pleas” to their friend Ralph who is a huge Panic fan? I’m trying to find a recording where I can hear that part!! I knew Ralph when I was living out west, and he was one cool dude!!! Back in 2010 (or maybe 2011?) Umphrey’s came through Northern California on tour, and on one of their off days, Ralph took them on a little wine tasting excursion. During this excursion, Pony proposed to his now wife!!! (Without looking it up, I think her name was Mary) Later that evening, there was a celebration at Ralph’s that lasted until the sun came up!! A few days later, we drove a couple hours north to see UM play in Eureka, CA. The band was gracious enough to let me (along with a buddy of mine who they already knew) hang out with them on the bus pre-show, and then we went bar-hopping with Pony. What an awesome experience!!! Definitely top 10 “coolest” things I’ve ever gotten to do! Thanks UM!

Love this! I saw them open a show with Bridgeless last December. The song highlights the strengths of the band as well as any they play. It’ll always be one of my favorites.
