VDBLab 1.0 - Tutorial - Multi Domain Explosion!
I just bought this, and am trying to run it on 4.0.2, but the Fluid Settings in Emission are completely missing! Now I guess I have to install another new version of Blender and got through all that headache of getting all my custom settings working before I can even start to use this add-on! Sheesh
@@davidfrazier4358 If you go to the blendermarket store, you will see that the version of blender required is 4.1.
Thank you Awesome tutorial. I would like to know, how I'd export the fractured pieces to use in Unreal Engine. I want to hide the individual fractured pieces and spawn Niagra particles at that impact point. Right now I've prototyped this using the cell fracture addon. My issue is that there are clear seams/fracture marks on my mesh. I don't want to make a fractured and non fractured mesh and swop them out at runtime just to avoid the seams in the mesh, since I'm doing this round about method for runtime performnce.....I've seen someone was able to do this years ago but they're no longer active on youtube so I have no one to ask
Пацаны, кто брал с тг этот аддон имейте ввиду, что версия 1.5.4 работает нормально только на версии 4.1 блендера. У меня так по крайней мере
Just to make anybody aware in case it crashes once you click to add the general constraint: reduce the strenght amount. Putting 5000 as in the video for me instantaneously crashes blender. Keeping the default amount made it run properly. :)
Hello, the fracture worked on the walls the first time, but after that, any further attempt to fracture the floors or the colums, the original mesh disappears and nothing takes its place. It just creates an empty collection in the outliner. It now does it with any mesh I try with, even random primitives. What am I doing wrong?
great addon! sand looks so beautiful.
please get mixbox working
hust amazing.houdini stuf
Hello. What to do if the map doesn't match the mesh?
I'm loving this addon!! it has made simulations so much more approachable :D Is it compatible with blender 4.2? I'm still using 4.1 so haven't dared to update
Houdini look out!
super feature.. thanks!! can we use a character with armature that deforms until a certain point at which case it turns to chunks? or does this only work with static NON deformable objects?
RBDLab is houndini-ing again :D I remember seen those things in houdini, and I m really glad that they are now in blender with just an addon Keep adding value to this addon, it's great
Amazing addon ❤ It's changed the simulation ... I wished there were presets... like splash...
Crazy ❤
game changer addon 💫💫💫💫💫
Is there a way to mix the mesh deformation with proper breaking physics? When I try, the mesh gets stretched in ridiculous ways.
as in any software where you do not configure your settings properly. You will have to work with the constraints to get the effect you are looking for.
@@rbdlab2231 Fair enough, Do you have any recommendations on how to achieve it? Let's stay I take the container example from this video. If I want the one at the bottom to tear in half starting at one corner How would I do that?
@@Danger_N00dle You would have to have your original geometry ready to be split in half. You would have to have 2 geometries, the container divided in 2 parts, so that later with the constraints they appear to be a single geometry, but you can break those constraints to split the piece in 2. It would be something similar to what is done in this tutorial: czcams.com/video/Y8PX1Hz0RXE/video.html
@@rbdlab2231 Yeah that makes sense, thanks. So the original model has to be cut in pieces then a proxy can be used for the pieces? My idea would be to have a large metallic structure made out of I beams and what not collapses after some supports are lost Ideally it would use proxy to allow for high resolution mesh, but also allowing multiple point to breaks.
This is awesome! As someone who has had to do similar effects with hours of creating low poly collision meshes, messing with blender softbodies, manually keyframing colliders to give the illusion of a rigidbody hitting a softbody, this is amazing! I would've never thought you could make a convincing softbody deformation simulation with a bunch of constrained rigidbodies, but here we are! I'm really looking forward to purchasing and playing around with this tool and your other plugin, FluidLab.
Thank you very much!
Fantastic.
my smoke not shown in render please help

you failed this tutorial. CZcams Demands a better one. Too Confusing
"let's increase the glue strength" Sounds like Houdini rbd :D
Hello, When i add the rigidbodies to my ground my fractured plane disappears. Do you know what i could be doing wrong ?
Wow, amazing.
Love the content, I've been playing with the addon for a while and I've been having trouble trying to create a liquid within a closed object. Perhaps that's something you could try for your next tutorial video. Otherwise, great work man
Have you made sure all your normals are facing inside on the closed object before you add collision?
@@nilrythDamn I didn't consider that at all thanks for the tip🙏🏽
Sorry man, that doesn't look like a fluid flowing, if that is what you were aiming for. It looks like a solid object moving around.
Regret every penny I gave you. Your tutorials are fuckin dogshit. You put 1 tutorial out every fuckin year, and even when I follow the tutorial perfectly the shit doesn’t work. I got fuckin scammed and so did every other person that gave you money.
can this make a river? with foam?
Amp up the pace of your talking and give useful tutorials for God's sake
Can u do tutorial about blood splash
Sure! Here's the translation: "Please provide more useful tutorials.
HI! Please tell me, all spheres pass through objects. There is a deformation, but the spheres pass through...
can u have tutorial using sand

thank you very much for the great tutorials. Is there any way to have a clean export for the simulation + debris etc. from Blender to Alembic. My debris Particles are doing very strange things after alembic export :( Thank you for your help
the alembic export system currently works quite poorly, to be honest. We are designing a way to export to alembic the particles (and the mesh) in a really effective and fast way, and ready to be used in render engines like unreal or unity.
@@rbdlab2231 Thank you very, very much for your answer. I would love to export the whole alembic simulation to Unreal Engine 5. The pieces work ok but the debris does funny things (I think it has to do something with the axis of each piece but I am not shure). Do you know when you could update the system so that an easy alembic export would be possible for the whole system (main fracture + debris, dust, smoke etc.)? Thank you again very much for your help and your great plugin
do you have to bake the particles with the "bake particle" section or not?
Can you export this simulation to unity?
Yes, you can export it to Alembic and import it into Unity.
why does the activators drastically reduce the effect of the interacting object? i have a wrcking ball that smashes a wall quite well but as soon as i start making it an activator, the impact of the smash is so greatly reduced!!?
I don't quite understand what you mean. Write me in our discord channel ( you should have access in a txt file when you buy the addon ) and I will check it.
this is such a confusing piece of addon
It is not confusing, it is complex. It is not a simple addon to make fractures, it is a complete tool that allows you to create dozens of different fractures, advanced simulations, constraints to generate metal deformation, etc... you can't expect to learn how to use it in 1 day. We have a user guide and many tutorials.
what do i import into a new scene once im done simulating and baking? ive tried importing the whole scene but its not working in hte new file
you need to change the spelling of that Assign button as just now I'm assing about with this addon
Enough of liquid tutorials .. make some landscape destruction with trees tutorials.. unless it’s not possible ?
Does this come with presets? I find it so hard to use the blender fluid because of all these arbitrary numbers/settings. Having presets at least lets you get a feel for viscosity, stickiness etc . An addon that frees me from 200 tests before success would be lovely.
You have several presets. Water, Honey, Oil, Sand... and you can create your own. The settings vary depending on the scale of the emitter.
