Let me tell you a true story.... it took place in Winnipeg, known for it's particularly cold winters even to Canadians. Some workers were delivering frozen beef to a store with a truck. The freezer with the beef in the truck was maintained at -25 C... The workers didn't want to go out of the freezer to move the beef into the store because it was -40 C outside!

People who lived in Nz and Canada would totally agree with you. And car insurance is too high in Canada. And Brampton forget it I know people who are paying $700 $1300 a month. seriously. I have full G license and 15yrs NZ experience and a got $700 quote from several agents, yep you can't get a best deal with out agents going back to old school. Its very annoying not having car in Canada. Its very different way of dealing you have to buy a car which has cheaper insurance and forget about your fav car....If you don't have decent job and salary you can't save much govt already knows how much you need to live and they take all the money from tax means 45%, everything is expensive except food.

I totally agree with you but instead of harsh weather, I make Car Insurance is the reason why you shouldn't live in Canada especially in Toronto.. Weathers are okay we all know before moving to Canada it gets too cold..This is no surprise but car insurance is too high, which means in NZ we use to pay 40-60 a month yearly $700 in canada you pay $5400 yr 450 month

I would say may be you are comparing a city of Canada to whole nz or may be you are comparing one city to the other, you are actually not comparing different cities and not even you have compared the whole Canada country to whole of nz. I am presently in New Zealand but you should at least update your knowledge before comparing 2 countries. You talked about cars, I think you won't even have to buy a car if you have good public transport, I think in New Zealand you have good transport only in Auckland but if you see, Canada, almost all the cities have very very good public transport, And moreover as an Indian, we have a habbit of sleeping late at night, sometimes just go shopping in the night, going to see movies, going to restaurants. In this Canada is far better to New Zealand. Almost 90℅ of the New Zealand is already in their beds by 7:30 pm in the night, at this time, we as Indians, we actually start getting ready for shopping with our families. I think you are just talking about Auckland, Wellington and a bit about Christchurch and dunedin, that's it. But in NZ there are many more cities like Cromwell, Wanaka,, Invercargill, Queenstown, New Plymouth, Rotorua, Alexandra, Ashburton, Timaru, Oamaru Mataura, Balclutha and many other cities where life actually stops around 5 pm in the evening and believe me, I have seenn this practically with my eyes, you won't even see a single person on the road at 6 pm in the evening on some days, even the sun doesn't sets at this time, but people over here are already in their dreams by 7 pm in the evening. I am more of a spiritual person and if you see NZ for your spiritual growth and success, I will put NZ at the top, may be the second country after India because if you sleep around 8 pm in the night, that means you early to rise in the morning as well and this moreover means that you are actually getting up from your bed just before the starting of Brahma Muhurata, which means that if you are a spiritual person who does spiritual things and meditation, you can actually grow to immense heights in this sector of your life. Even if we speak scientifically over here, Brahma Muhurata is the best time when the whole universe get to work according to you, your thoughts, your dreams come true just if you practise meditation at during this time.. And NZ has still preserved it's culture till date as no other country has done in the world. Kiwis are straight forward in whatever they say and do. I would say Kiwi people's heart is as pure as our Ganges river in India. Kiwis don't even know the meaning of manipulation or betrayal behind your back. If you are in problem, they will do everything to help you. Now a days in India if an accident occurs on the road, the people won't even bother to help the victims, most people are so ruthless that they will see the accident and say some abusive words to them and then just continue with their own work and they just make videos and post it on social media. But Kiwis are not like this. They invest their time for their country. Here people alongwith their families they also know and understand their responsibilities towards other people. I have seen quite a few accidents in front of me on the road where people just stop whatever they are doing and right away come to rescue the victims. Here each and every life is valuable to everyone. People have kind and helpful feelings for other people, even for strangers. And Nz is full of untouched Natural beauty. At last I would say that every country is good either this way or the other so we should not compare and it also depends on the individual's circumstances as well that where a person actually feels comfortable to live.

It now has changed because of assholes who play with the housing like if it was a stock market and these cheaply build condos that grows everywhere at awful prices for the (low) quality 😒😒😒
