Probably it’s a lot of fun to work in industry like this! But it’s really… REALLY ANNOYING for locals! I work in the small shop and we share the same block with small studio that makes mostly photo shoots (maximum music videos) and it is HEADACHE if they have some projects: no parking, always traffic on the block, bunch of trucks crawling back and forth. In NYC if it’s some movie shooting it’s 100% traffic!!! And it’s just a max 10 trucks. Now imagine 100+ trucks…

my dad played a character in the lord of the rings. he was a soldier. i asked him about the behind the scenes, telling him about this video. he told me all about his experiences, how they went all around the country to get scenes, and embarrassing funny fails. (also side note, while watching lord of the rings we found out that one of the elves looks almost exactly like me. and he's just told me there's another lord of the rings movie coming out at some point, and auditions may be open soon. i might give it a go). also i know someone who worked on the lord of the rings and the hobbit outfits.

Great movie

More than writed before, if you read the dungeons/tombs and whatever descriptions this are very precise and gives the appropiate impression for drama.aside a related grades of danger you are (and as adventurer you are conscious of this, or even not, if you had never experience on your journeys on this kind of landscapings). Too, and this is a thing that happens but it is not so "tactile" on your lord of the rings films, at least to my watching, is the sempsation of terrain/weather exposure...I mean starvation,thirst, (okay we see Frodo face dry at ascending orodruin, but this is ..10minutes? Alternated with other scenes. In my opinion what really gives sempsation of heroic far beyond human feat, is looking a charactervreally destroyed by starvation, thirst, weather, menthal tiring of environment and own dark thinkings, and physical really minimums (no sleeping on weeks, loss if bodymass ,failures on concebtration or ever visions (this thing were very weel represented when sauron eye almost see frodo at orodruin except for sam "pressing catch" etc. Then ,far beyond that, and as personal liking, I and much others than I, would be very pleasant on seeing really hard and sone bloody battle scenes (I kniw lotr has created a "ckean but dramatic" style of images at fighting, but showing a bit of crudeness at battle ,gives more impression of fatal really danger.and you pay more valour to difficulties suffered by heroes. And looking the heroe going out of that dramatic situation and surviving,perhaps with a loweringbon his habilities ir physics, (by a lessive damage, bad healed bone, perpetual painful scar, sniffing by a curved nasal from a hit, thinny almost unperceptible limp from a hammer that crushed femur time ago, or bad aspect minced meat rounding scar at chest from a punctured stick on a trap, broken marrowbones puncturing the lungs, internal blood flowing on organs, a cut along main veins on body, or even an amputation such happened with lurtz the uruk.or guts out from stomach by a great cut. Yeah, meat minced gore scenes rivers are not the rule, but a couple of them give tactile the sempsation of mortal hard battle so dangerous that a little fail means you are cut in two. This way you joy the fight much more...and so with bows and magic.specially if you are expertise warrior using magic weapons and above all complexes sophysticated battle maneuvers...forcingvenemy watching sun, playing with him oughting him to look sun, or avoiding hisvattacks and civeringbyou without really attack for tiring him, or simply atacking more intensively to his yet opened injures or damaged arms,legs, ...using besides weapons your "hand to hand skills"...and in this case ending at desperate circumstance bitting their ear ir puncturingvthe eyes with fingers, or even crushing mandibule with both hands...perhaps not explicit, but only suggested. BUT all of this give the great impression of an ultimate combat at desperate way between very equaled enemies. Ifvis against an irc etc well, but if it is against another "non monster being" honour can be done and he left you put on feet instead of killing you directly, cause he knows you can do it better, ...and killing you on that way will not apport him honour/glory at all. Honour above all between great enemies, cause great impact,specially at combat. And much more if that combatvis fir saving some people at your sacrifice cost (like the epic death of boromir with hobbits...god... I felt something at my heart sad at same time proud, and selfknown ratings of strenghts and weaknesses at battling, when I saw that scene.... and the sempsation of effort far beyond physical tiring and pain limits when spite several arrows and probably a few cuts and smashed meat, or damaged organs, you try to fight at same level of effectiveness even already watching the death with one eye and hailing your dead relatives. That is really great, and accompanied with proper both sad and dramatic, and at same time really epic music, gives the ultimate heroic sempsation into your own heart and tears of bravery emotion on your body... as if you were too a warrior and were knowing how hard and bad/well the character are doing it and the quantity of pain and tiring supporting. And you feel all his emotions. Then,when the warriorbiscdead, with a great job done, you feel really proud of him, into your heart, and lucky of being seen so great proof of honor prowess and disinterested autosacrifice "for a great well". This causes when ultimate death arrives, after all physical pain, you "go in truly felt peace" and even celestial glory sempsation.while lights of mortal world are faring on distance.... ...in.mighty glory of the battle fallen may rest, Boromir.

There are lots of adventures on MERP Middle Earth Roleplaying Called modules or simply adventures.on this books/manuals there are complete adventures with open options.I mean, you do an action, and depending on what number shows duces, one thing happens or another. How,s good on this,? Is as if you had an "open end" script. Andvthenbyou choose: "The noble lord say you are not let to enter all the main shops of citadel of minas tirith, you are only let to stay at two furst levels of citadel." If someone try politics with noble one, depending on exit on 100 sides dice rolling, one thing happens or another 90-00 you are let to enter all shops with a recomendation 85-89 you are let entering all shops 75-84 you only enter to high shops recommended 70-74 you enter medium shops recomended 65-69 you are let ebtering low shops tecommebded and mefium shops have heard of you and ate anxious for convincing you to visit them.perhaps shoppers,stop you while walking, or an anounce paper arrive to you etc ,but people of medium and low shops fights for your visit 55-64 high shops hard heard of you,and if you are around, owners go to you and offers his services 45-54 same but medium shops 35-44 same but low shops 24-34 you are famous between poor people begging in street, and them honor you and beg limosnes, or a quest for you to helping them, or invite you to dinner (even poor people)and so 14-24 some people of low category have heard of you,others not. 50%of being favoured of someone unknown even you not beg,low social category 8-13 people only know you are foreign nor favours,fame nor bad fame...simply you are a foreigner 5-7 some people suspect about your intentions, besides,you are a foreigner, and rare aspect of adventurer. Perhaps a way of narration of the beorning story could have an introducing in a way of someone, decades (ot centuries)after the facts told, find the diary of the bard on group of adventurers of the barbarian beorning. Glory for being looked as a heroe doesnt goes so far, or last a breathe, and besides, misunderstandings happens and you are accused of things that can you not prove as false...etc. Besides being from a "lesser culture"or looking as a dull barbarian, people much times dont pay serious attention to you, even doing looking you ridiculous.(specially noble ones). This, until you say you are a gondor knight (true thing, but title is lost on really big gondor libraries),and as terrains given by noble one prize are uncared and beginning walls of tower you began are abandoned by short money, and servants and guards flrw away because of your non pressence and short payments (things of adventures disposable earnings). Terrain and fortress, servants and bodyguards and title etc ate lost. And if you go to noble one who gave you the noble title, this happened so much time ago, that he dont remember, or is dead, or even is angry with you for have ruined the given terrain or whayever. As I told, things always have a bad end.at.most pure style of greek tragedy or that of morwen and his brother, but in a dark gothic ambience...even in terror. Very sad and depressive, n a way viewer admire or take care of the temperance of character supporting fatality, the hardness of physical and menthal sufferings, his dark and macabre sense of humor (consecuence of used of bad things happened) and a bit gore blooded (consecuence of life in battle,seing bloody deaths of fellows with short or none glory, and lots of miseries on moral valours, treasons, bad luck etc... This finally fiorge a feeling of "if something can go bad, it will go" "hope always the worst" just be the most resistant at body,mind and soul. And as everyone can be "the shapeshifter demon" who couldnt posess him, every people can be it or his servant looking liing to you, treason you etc. You not pay confidence to no one. Besides, if you takes care on someone, enemy will use it for conditionate you, menacing, "chantajear" as it is said in spanish, or whatever. relationships are a weakness. Besides, all deaths and twisted sins by your fault or influence,or your "curse", runs in circle on your mind,..... remorses, nightmares at night, depressive moments, temperance changes, disthrustings.... this ends on a feeling from outlooking as "you have not soul"...something that affects you, because precisely is that what you are betting, since the fact of part of it are stained in black by the failed posession. On someway you are looking redemption through your "heroic purity feats" but counting on your dark fate, this even can worse the things. religion are not rited in lord of the rings, but you hope achieve redemption through noble acts, hardness and "barbarian valours" bravery, hardness, stout temperance, pure strenght, iron will, fierceness etc. Most of that, advanced history when he is going knowing the world and are noticed about tulkas eonwe orone irmo nessa yavanna, he adopt them as "faith motives" in non ruled but more close personal intuitive way. And centuries runs....and legends are told about that...and no one thinks them really....till obe day, when they are prone to fall on his knees, appears the huge great barbarian warrior of the gods, and kills all around and lead cover action teams, etc till menace is over and return to rest in peace...at side of gods ...at least, this is what is told. Concerning the story about beorning and evil maiar lieutenants of Ren " the unclean", this guys are enslaved to his will, but with passing of years/centuries, they ate gaining some selfcontrol and group thenselve in secret (in a castle for example) in the way of a secret order(coveted by spells etc for Ren not spy him through vidence balls,palantir- like gems etc) but at same time,each one has secret intentions for returning hell (timeless emptiness) more powerful than when they went out., so treason and conspiracy and sub alliances are the common thing between them while this not crushes the "returning hell plan" The plan consist, on searching the secret library Ren used for guarding the "invocation spellbooks" who used for extracting them from hell, obtaining the magic key that opens each one, and too the gem Ren used for trapping each one soul till he found a proper "overpowered" body (through generations of genetic crossings, transplants of soul to body, or even spells for giving the specimen the mind of prowess characteristics gifted individuals.) And if the body are destroyed, you have a "body copy" for put it into ,and following as nothing were happen. So the adventurers group of beorning barbarian like, first kill a lieutenant (sweating blood) but after months or a year or so, they hear newly news of him...."but we destroyed IGAAR ,the night champion, the last year...." Besides I have been noticed New Zealand government are going to put money on films that were usefull for "pubilicitying" New Zealand, so with the normal money, plus this new font of money, and adding perhaps media and special effects and (the only thing well at that) scenarios from rings of power(contracting only who did cgi). This only a few minutes scene could be the prologue for the whole beorning story on a following film.perhaps the attackers are servants of those who story ahead are revealed as their searchers for turning him into a demon etcetc. But you has created already a hook for more time ahead filming(perhaps not a whole film about the beorning but yes an enough pressence of him on other normal stories film).

Another idea mr.Jackson. what about an audiobook of novels (or simply just a few texts)with original voices from film? Like the own gandalf himself wete telling you a story, and when he refers to "Aragorn said: ", were the voice of Viggo himself speaking. With music/ambience behind of the films

Too we as fans would see again and again a film about, for example, the road of the nine high kings of men, since they ascend at throne, till they receive the rings, and the following bit a bit fall in darkness ( 9 kings lives it so much for an only film and you can mix concepts of one king with other king, so better two films. This way, when you see a ringwight in first trilogy, you are not seeing "a simple evil enemy" but a character with his lights and shadows, who finally has fallen in darkness and its will has going fiwn through centuries till being a simple non will servant of sauron.the concept of character earn much more deepness, and complexity far beyond "being a mere servant of sauron will". You identify with him, and even takes cares of him, spite he is evil. Even you could add the falling of mouth of sauron into shadows for doing a "relax time alternating interludes" between more dense stories. ...and second idea, using cannon things as colour notes giving brightness to own story life, you could tell stories of parallel anonymous characters/adventurers that could have perfectly existed and suffered at side of novel important facts/dates, sometimes being influenced by his direct or indirect comsecuences. ...and seeing great dyings scenes. The death of boromir in lord of the rings was really great and pleasuring of seeing, besides that of Denethor. An heroic sacrifying death,suffering menthal and physic pain/attacks when you see how character are wasting himself bit a bit, while he treates of being at same level of efectivity for protecting/doing earn time/or lie to enemy for saving mates etc, is something that impacts really far beyond "an heroic death killing a monster or covering the run of mates. And for example, being great injured but not show/tell to friends cause medicines are short and you sacrifice supporting pain (menthal or physical) at silence for being the weaker being healed. That way you feel nobliness of character at great sacrifice cost for simply caring, or honor. And give the impression of being really hard, something ideal for the aura of a warrior. And at end suffering a really horrible dramatic and even ironic death, with low or none glory, but facing it with same bravery.in a very sad tint ,but a note of peace seconds before definitive death, as a freedom act. Even typical visions of dear people giving him the welcoming to the other side. Dead, broken, bloody, body teared, surrounded by a destroyed scenario and very bad injures aspect of his surrounding fallen enemies (or dismembeted etc).broken his sword and armor, yraspassed by arrows and lances, an arm burnt, an eye destroyed, tooth out, broken leg, really big cuts, perhaps a little of a gut showing, blooding spume by mouth, a lung punctured, broken waist, cutted ear, broken nose, neck traspassed by arrow (as teutonic warrior on army of heavens first battle) broken arm/wrist and fingers, a dagger plunged into musle, amputated leg or other arm, ... I suggest playing a roleplaying game on this way, you could have a nore near idea of what really can be felt and possible options when battle.and if you introduce magic strikes spells and counters pells of battle, more interesting. Ahhh...if the moria battle at doors were been accompanied with this, could be achieve doubled epicity

More ideas mr jackson...and I dont want to be bored, it is only im a true fan. Sometime ago, I created a beorning character for lord of the rings world, some untypical, that I think is the point for doing an interesting story.that story I tell about, speak of the character discovering what means to be a beorning,since it begins bad seen by his own tribe (explained in text),and by an accident is exhiled from the tribe.seen as a traitor(so do his family),the boy goes earning the food as adventurer and mercenary, searching a way to proof his innocence, or earning honour and glory for returning his home without them not kill himself at first. By the way, he goes realizing of some facts about his past, and he was an experiment from Ren the unclean for creating a powerful lieutenant for his armies, posessing him with an evil spirit, and then the mortal habilities of the guy added the maia habilities posessor, creating a powerful servant for enslaving the peoples of middle earth. But the tribe shamans realized that, and covered the boy with protector spirits.when Ren came and took the child, at time of posession the protections of shamans "went on guard" fighting the evil spirit, but were not such powerful for expulsing it at all, so part of the demon were keeped into the boy and grew up in strenght and physics, but went down in mentals ,and aquired part of the vices and violence wishes of the evil maia... so we got a promised warrior who sees his destiny destroyed by evil. When the boy wete expulsed from home, then the nazhgul and rest of lieutenants ( skilled elves,dwarves,men,etc posessed) search him over the middle earth, being tied to Ren the nazhgul will, but yhe guy dont know nothing about this.more than that, he is amnesiac of some chapters of his life, so here you have an oportunity to introducing some unhoped things as twists of script. One day, doing a raid into a tomb, a nazhgul (khamul) were there.he had the former family ancestors weapon of the beorning,lost time ago in an adventure (in an earthed water river while exploring a dungeon for example).then, the nazhgul point his finger to the beorning barbarian..."YOU...." The nazhgul has the giant two handed danish bearded axe-warhammerbutted of the barbarian. .so the huge,muscled, and some short intelligence beorning are surprised and some worried¿A nazhgul knows me? And..why he had my danish enormous axe? For giving an explanation the group ends contacting with a wisemen order, at first they only tell him he is a recipant. Of what they dont know, "but you shpuld look into your origins".so the group goes to beorning lands, under covered identity for the barbarian cause he was a profugue and a merchant in road to a near village tells the father of that beorning had visits from "a dark lord" and when he arrived till birds shut up. Time after the dark lord arrived with armies, entered the forge, and went out.people begged explanations to the blacksmith (the barbarian's father)but he didnt say nothing.now the fact why family lived out of tribe are explained.too say that he went to the near mountain tribe burials. The group goes to that burials and see the family ancestors tomb are "bad closed" with mud seals.his guide open it with a mace hit, and dismayes.group cant reanime it.eyes in white, tics like epileptic, spume on mouth.group member with some magics knowings(or a little wizard) tells is like if werent soul on him.as no one can help him,they hide him on greeness. They open the tomb and into ,exploring dungeon like, the barbarian hits his head and has an image of him at 10, childhood ,repairing the forge with his father, lifting a superheavy rock for helping his father he is surprised "look father, with only one hand" (the rock must weight 25 kilograms) Father looks to the sky "someday he will be a great warrior"(full proud expresion).vision goes out, fellows tell him he was speaking alone, and he explains.undoubtly the cave is "moisted" with magic (as when bilbo smells magic at entering on rivendell). More time exploring and barbarian(as a result of his height) hits newly his head .another vision.now he is the father and sees his son lifting that heavy rock.at first he is angry "son, push down that rock!" but when the son do it, looks to the horizon proud of that..."someday he will be a greaat warrior" (and a worriness shadow cover his heart). All this felt in heart as if the barbarian were the father now. Time after they find mother's tomb. there is an spirit above who fights them and on each hit it rob them intelligence, and do one fight each other.at end one by one the exit from the trance.when they do,the spirit disappears.open the tomb (being advisrd against magic protections by his fellow magician knowings) and see is empty. Searching the father,they know Father of the barbarian went out from village since years.he used to be seen in company of a dark lord, and on each coming, till birds were shutted up.as an army arrived short after ,people thinked the blacksmith(the father) had treasoned them but with no proofs jjust only could keep it apart from tribe but not exhiled. and thats why at first the family were kept out of tribe on the nearings, as shamans realized dark lord wrte searching the boy,the protected him with spirits that "went out" at time of posession(as it is said above)when the boy was Kidnaped by that lord,they thinked father were in terms with the dark lord, treated him as traitor etc. his forge were dispieced and saled and earnings divided through tribe. Returning with that information to red magician, tells them that when sauron was creating the nazhgul, he created too lieutenants for them posessing them with maiar choosing exceptional people whose gifts were added to maia powers. . That explains "you are a recipent". About the fact Khamul has the barbarian's axe, sage/magician says that when you want to find someone, better is take a very personal object of himself, embibed with his essence, and sooner or later owner will find himself with the object, something appropiate because the axe is a familiar heritage ancestor by ancestor.(and if you give the axe own "shut up" personality(or menthal conection cappabilities)the nazhgul could manipulate it for it finding the owner believing is for good reasons ) Now the plan is, before lieutenants or the own Ren find him for turning him to evil, the group must find them first.but how fight against so powerful beings? The only idea is "obtaining" powerful arms and equipment from powerful people burials, more likely from ancient burials of former ages.so they conclude search into barrow downs and his burials (high men,kings,princes/ess , royal servants...of ancient ages, when magic and craftship were much better.BUT as all knows, barrow wights roam into since second age or so when after sauron defeating,he escaped to the tombs.characters planning enter at day supposing"in daylight dark spirits are less powerful".they arrange with two guides explaining who are buried, and when and history of dead one and his burial through years. At end they choose Imrahil( of dol amroth?gondor?) tomb(not so ancient for find a super powerful wight, not so recent for having poor power objects).group never has fight a bartow wight, so if they survive an encounter, they can proof with other more prestiggeous tomb and his more powerful wight. a great stone shaped door seals the entrance, no magics (but yes in burials), thieve's group not finds "appearingly" traps on door, but can not open mechanism. Only rest brute force at enormous strenght of the barbarian.first moving the fat solid stone door,(a really ashtonising strenght feat at height of little demigod) second lifting through opened gap the crossed heavy wood joint.(rest is exploring works and survive/detect traps). Burial has all family tombs under a crossed entrance runic mark, separated by corridors(and clever mortal traps). trap detecting around and on imrahil tomb and same on three "chests funeral objects locked wood boxes. Nothing found.but no picking locks equipment, doing inappropiate thing (like " trying the lock with a dagger") results firing the trap most probably.traps for so important guy must be really mortal. No ideas so barbarian most injures resistant try.all group out from entrance.barbarian mace hitting the first chest,stone floor all around on 6 metres or so, fall.revealing a cold stone walls falling covered by spikes and edges, and so at bottom. deep(15metres?).barbarian hits here and there like a billar ball.teared muscles, opened injures, a couple of broken bones, puncturing and edging wounds plus impact damage against walls, and final fall to vertical sharpened spikes. Broken arm, perhaps one marrow, and waist by two sides, teared leg muscle, damage at internal organ, and end in nailed at floor by big fat spike on punctured chest. (Must give the impression and look of really ashtonishing body damages...splitting dense blood, walls blood stained, arm or leg on impossible position(unless really broken)..?better as much terrifying bloody broken body damage appearance. And dramatic hit scenes while falling(violent body twistings, being crossed by a wall spike that stops you, (it seems all ended)..but not. and slide and fall again by own weight, till end floor spikes. BUT. after all that incredible great hits and injures, the barbarian still seems breathing(but losing all blood quickly).companion descend through rope, tie him at upper waist for lifting out(at lesser damaged part).barbarian raged oneyed face,bloody mouth spume,dificult breathing, close fist on friend jacket and near him to his face..." dont let the Enemy posess my dead body. I dont want to be the ninth...on the name of honor.( in barbarian way)....avenge me.(dies)

Adittional, another pair of separate films with mysterious, /only one appearance/short mentioned characters, as Tom Bombadil, and others bad /short known characters....as Beorn himself for example, taking advantage of audience know him already, and telling his biography as a prologue of the following film that tells the history of Beorning race (or just the high men history on wich beornings is an only episode into itself).this way even the film could take an "director license" and explain the origins of the shapeshifting hability of beornings...something very extraordinary,knowing that only Ainur(valar and maiar), and Beren and Luthien , could shapeshift, (although is probably that Beren did it because Luthien taught it to him,since she was descendant of a maië).so could be showed the spreading of all men races after numenor were submerged, and following with the particular case of beornings, and explaining the things that beorn said "once we were lots" or "it seems he liked capture and torture shapeshifters"...most probably Azogh captured shapeshifters beornings by sauron orders, for sauron doing experiments with that incredible hability in order to create better soldiers at fight, or even fir shapeshifting and being cover spies between races he want enslave or corrupt. Texts said beornings were great stout body, so seeing really strong guys as average could be the common, I think.

I write this here cause I have no ways of wrting you on facebook etc. Knowing you are planning doing new lord rings films, it woul be great telling the Arnor history, since it is the realm of the main role,Aragorn, and see on this way why the striders has become to live like on third age, in a more visual way, and why Aragorn can reclaim the throne, besides we could see the division of its realms, till forming Arthe dain, Gondor etc....and the wars of the north. Try to read Nick Perumov's The Black Ring series or Middle-earth 300 years later. The first two books are a good idea for a sequel to the Lord of the Rings, and the scenery will work with the costumes. The world is like one.

A day on tour at Hobbiton ending with a hobbit ale and banquet in the Prancing Pony is a favourite memory. Little clotheslines with Hobbit washing on the line, picket fenced garden plots with hobbit size wheelbarrows & garden tools, rustic, colourful letterboxes on posts at the gates of each home…What a delight. If you can’t get out to Hobbiton do stop to visit the Matamata Visitor Information Centre. Life size Hobbit building purpose built as Hobbit house/info centre. Authentic materials and workmanship down to one off beveled glass/stained glass windows, hewn wood furniture, solid wood oval doors etc. Picture perfect ! If/when I return to beautiful New Zealand I’ll do the whole thing again ! 🥰👍
