    27:30 "We practice a lot." GTFO here, ma'am, it's an elite high performance group. It's superhuman. Roll in the compliment. I mean, I know, they're trained not to. But like. Oh, my spine is experiencing as much pressure on it as my body weight times , like a half a ton of motorcycle sitting on your chest and you're 200 feet off the ground going hundreds of miles an hour. At 500 miles an hour, you cover 200 feet in 0.27 seconds. If you slip at all, you have milliseconds to recover before the entire plane is buried in a terrestrial fireball. Get here with "we practice a lot."

    42:00 why can't them just equalize pressure on human when he is inside spacecraft/iss and when he is in openspace/moon ? I mean that if you at iss and pressure here is 101kPa, then you wearing suit, and make pressure inside the suit to 101kPa, so it is equilized between suit and room. Then you going into space and there is no more air to pressure your suit from outside and pressure inside is drops to 50kPa for example - why can't you just open pressure valve a little and make it 101kPa inside again? So the time between room 101kPa and space 0Pa will be around 10-20 seconds, and your suit is programmed to maintain pressure inside suit to 101kPa. It is just 1atm and won't be problem for suit material.

    • @h.dejong2531
      @h.dejong2531 Před dnem

      101 kPa is not a problem for the suit, but a problem for the astronaut. At 101 kPa, the suit is much stiffer than at the ~30 kPa they use now. At 30 kPa, you're exhausted after moving in the suit for 8 hours. At 101 kPa, it would take only 3 hours to be exhausted.

    • @Guapter
      @Guapter Před dnem

      @@h.dejong2531 ok thank you, that much clearer. so the best case then lower the pressure at the suite while you going out at slow rate. Or use lower pressure at room so you dont need to change pressure so much. Or at large facilities/space stations you could slowly lower pressure of whole facility before mission outside, and increase pressure when mission is done and everyone is inside.

    • @h.dejong2531
      @h.dejong2531 Před dnem

    I just had to point out 1 little thing that I adored here. at 51:20, when you just bend the mic down to the audio. That was peak engineer. not pretty but it works. Someone else might have gotten a techie in to hook up your device to the sound system and taken ages doing it. That moment was great.

So I looked on youtube how it's made, but I can not find a single video about how it's made . I was hoping you could do a video about it so I can get a bit more smarter that day. Thanks

    most engineering is cookie cuter now. works in some instances but people get lazy and thats when we run into trouble seen this at the new water plant that went in my town. so much stupid mistakes just in the drawings alone not to mention built so frustraiting when something quits working and ur drawings are so wrong that the same number apears 20 times for 20 different things or redundancy thats poorly exicuted such as we have 2 pumps for each process chemical but only 1 feed line being shared between the 2 and only 1 line from them running across the whole building where do we always see the problems the intake feeder lines

    NASA does PR better than they do space.When government is in charge public relations is the most important thing because the public eats it up and they are too lazy to look at the details. Careers at NASA are more important than timely results and the best way to accomplish that is a flashy image to impress a public that has a five second attention span.If you can impress them for a few seconds the public will leave you alone for a year or two and that`s 15-30 billion dollars. Instead of doing five seconds of science for the taxpayer NASA will put on a song and dance number.

    If you de-gassed the A and B components of the epoxy before mixing them, this might buy you some time before the hardening reaction happens. When they are already mixed, the reaction has started while you are degassing, so degas first. This would work better - unless the reaction itself releases gas. But I've never seen bubbles in curing epoxy, so my comment makes sense (until corrected.)
