There are plenty of valid critisms aimed at 4kids, however, this is not one of them. If you criticize them for changing Japanese dishes into other types of food, you're overreacting. You should know that stuff like this actually happens a lot with foreign dubs of a lot of pieces of media

He did that to test kaibas Will and nerves given that he deliberately made slifer weaker then xyz dragon cannon. He was expecting kaiba to still summon obelisk despite xyz dragon cannon being able to take it out as well, which makes sense given kaibas ego he wouldnt think twice about the chance of summoning his best monster even when in hindsight we know that it wasnt the best decision. Yugi was basically bluffing with his facedown card Just like kaiba did the turn before

I feel like people get way more upset about this stuff than they really need to. Unlike with One Piece, they didn't change that much about Pokémon. Them changing the food really isn't something to get mad over. Besides, the cracker makes the situation even more of a big deal, because in the Japanese version, they could easily split it, but in the US dub, they have lesser food, showing that they need to compete for it. Honestly, them changing food to localize it really isn't a big deal, especially because whenever we put out media, other countries will localize it for their country, so we should be allowed to do the same
