I like the novelty of these watches, but 100 buck is way too expensive for this. Aliexpress has magnetic wtaches for 20-30 bucks.

The case is made of copper because the steel one will not work with magnetic movement due to it inherent magnetism.

A copper case? Interesting. I love untreated copper but many people dont because of the patina. I think this is an interesting piece and one of the most interesting magnet watches I have seen thus far! Thank you for sharing bro!

I have strict rules for myself on when I will buy a Homage watch. I fully respect those who love them and hate them. I do draw the line at Counterfeit watches. And for me a counterfeit is using another watch’s logo and brand without permission. Thanks for the honest review.

Its says on the site of the 36mm "anti-reflective sapphire crystal" .do you know if its like the one you reviewed or if they have changed something? Because i dont know what the specs on the one you review were mentioning but it was reflective.thanks

Ball are such a good brand in the part of the market they operate in. I have a skin diver mk3 and its a really well made watche. The in house movement is really good for the price range with 80 hours power reserve and chronometer standard. Only Oris can match that. Also love being able to use it as a beside clock due to the tritium which just doesnt show up well on camera but is perfectly bright and visible with night adjusted eyes.

Such an interesting question. Is the Rolex worth the premium? In real terms, clearly not. An unitiated person could easily prefer the looks of the Baltany and the improved movement is far worse in all functional respects than a decent quartz movement. The name Rolex does have value and history but most of all, I think, if we are being honest, the Rolex makes the statement that you are a successful person who can afford to wear it.

They went to town on lume on this compared to the panda versions!

I wish someone would make a replacement bracelet for this other than Strapcode and Uncle. Been looking for something for my SSC813 with on-the-fly adjustment.

The 22 mm Lug width isn't a big deal if the bracelet is a good one. Is it pin and collar?

I love homage watches for a very particular reason. I can test and wear a homage watch to help me decide my next purchase, only making sure the dimensions are exactly the same as the real version. This helped me purchase my seamaster 300, bb54 and iwc mark xx. It's like a "tester" before the big purchase and it always bring me excitement to test a new chinese watch to see if the design resonates with me. Very useful indeed. I love homages.

This watch is seriously underrated. Own some high-end stuff, yet this is getting all my wrist time lately. The bang for buck and finish is insane.

No disrespect to anyone who owns homage watches, I just can't understand the appeal. For much the same reason I'd never want a Toyota MR2 that looks like a Ferrari.

i just picked up the san martin equivalent of this watch (it's amazing!). the pure white dial and applied markers gives it a more explorer 2 vibe. this baltany looks excellent too

This is quite the tooley beauty! This is such a good way to get the look and feel of a Tudor without the eye watering price! This seems cleaner than the Tudor. I like the lume actually. Its like a faded vintage look with modern reliability! I think you have a winner there Miguel! Take care man!

When is a homage acceptable to us watch geeks. I've got the Steinhart version in 39mm and its a super watch. If the Tudor was thinner I would upgrade, but, the dimensions on the homages are better dimensions because of the movements. Head scratch for me is that Sinn have released some gorgeous 903 in various colours. These obviously aren't homages as they own the patent , but, mentally to me on one hand it's not the " navitimer " , however, specifications on the Sinn as you would expect really solid.

Own some high end stuff but the quality for the money of the Pagani still blows me away. Gets more wrist time than anything else. Seriously underrated and a great value prop.

Have this watch and extremely pleased with its build quality and accuracy to the original Vietnam version ! . I also own the Seko 5 3861, which is the modern version, but its numerals are larger and not slanted like their original 60s ones otherwise its excellent edition to my miltary watch collection
