It’s lovely to see you review a Seiko turtle! I had one myself but ended up selling it and buying a classic standard turtle. Probably the due to the grenade dial or the magnifier but it is still an awesome watch. Awesome review as always!

A few years ago I bought one and I realized that I lost a fair bit of time a day. Had it checked on a timegrapher and it was running barely within spec. I contacted the Seiko dealer and asked for an exchange which they initially agreed to. Sent the watch back and they said they see no problem with it. The resulting back and forth between the dealer and myself left such a bitter taste in my mouth that when they sent that watch back I had it regulated and gave it to my brother. That was the last Seiko I ever bought. Still a beautiful watch though and I was just very unlucky in both the one in a million movement and poor dealer! Hope you have a great week Brother!

I have an 8” wrist. I have tried this on a couple of times and really like everything about it except the cyclops. For me the cyclops distorts more than it magnifies, this was a deal breaker for me. Bummer because I really liked the color.
This would be perfect for you! I’ve seen people remove the cyclops or replace the entire crystal, that may be a good solution for you!

I own this awesome watch, a favourite in the collection. I changed the strap as you say the original is a bit bulky. Yes it is a Seiko so it is not flawless but It has much more soul than some other « best value for money with no flaws » microbrands that I own in the same price range
