Thank you for the thorough and honest review, Brother. Plus some words to live by too: never judge a watch before trying it on! Gotta admit Ive been and have stayed on the fence about how this watch looks but I’ve always found it strangely intriguing.

For me, the bracelet doesn't go with it probably a different straps like a leather or canvas
I think a different style bracelet would have looked a lot better, but once you have this on the wrist is not that bad.

I dont find it ugly but its not limited. I kinda like the looks... The case more than the strap if I had to break it down! At $415 though I think its out competed by other Seiko's. I do like the solid case back! The watch I didn't like but now kind of like is the BB58. It was everywhere and all people could talk about for ages but now i think its a really nice watch and I caan appreciate both its design and the craftmanship. Have a great day Bro!

I have to say I had 2 other Seiko watches with this effect. Firstly the monster. First I saw it I was disgusted. What a monstrous design i thought, big and classless. And for years this was my attitude towards it. Than at some point I got to put it on my wrist and changed my mind completely. Very comfortable wear. I have 3 different versions and love them. Other was the alpinist. First impression why would they put that extra crown there? Looks ugly. Than after some years I got to try one on and now it is one of my favorite designs not just among Seiko but also other brands.

Edit: I would like this dial/movement in another Seiko case that is way more comfortable and pleasing to the eye

Wow! I love mine. Works great. The bracelet evens fits me! Cry me a river! The Crown is fine.

I have this one, the crown is awful and it's the worse timekeeper in my collection. The watch wears too tall on a NATO and the bracelet fits like a cuff.

Man. I can’t stand all the Seiko 5 models. And it’s all because the dials sit so far below the glass.
