I think that not only did 343 make an enemy that made for frustrating gameplay, the missed a golden opportunity to make a really fun enemy faction to fight. Going back to Halo CE, the introduction of another enemy faction halfway through the game (i.e. the flood) not only added depth to the story; it mixed up the gameplay because you had to fight them differently than you did the covenant. More specifically, to fight the covenant you had to use low pace cover based gameplay while you had to utilise a fast pace run and gun style against the flood. With their omission in Halo 4, I think 343 should have had you fight the Prometheans run and gun style. If you look into the lore, the Prometheans were the forerunners' shock troops and shock troops don't fight you by shooting from afar; they get right up in your face. Also, they could have used mechanics that were squandered in Halo 4 to make you fight run and gun style that in ways that would feel more grounded than in CE. For example, they could have had the knights teleport right on top of you if you try to duck in cover (versus flood waves that infinitely spawn if you try to duck in cover).

Hated this game back in 2001 and still hate it today. Halo 1 has some of the longest, most boring and worst missions in the whole series.

I'm stuck on this level because for some reason the stupid elevator you're supposed to take diwn is getting stuck. It gets to the bottom and then the doors just open a little bit and get jammed

Hey Hokie i've found that taking the ghost in the beginning section to take out enforcers and quickly getting to the tank is a much more effective safe and fun strategy (you can also find a tank nearby when you exit the Sentinel factory). Speg meister has made walkthroughs very similar to yours on MCC and that's where i saw the strategy

I did this yesterday and managed to arm a marine with a fuel rod gun. Still used your guide to get past this hell level

After all these year I never realized you could’ve picked up an active camo at the beginning. Makes the level so much easier after you jump down.

13:37 nahhhh something happened in this section where all my fuel rod marines where in one spot and a fuel rod gun brute killed them all and the chekpoint was done JUST IN TIME WHEN THE MISSILE WAS LAUNCHED so yeah there was no way i could have saved them and the chekpoint always loaded when the missile was already launched at them

I recommend doing the rocket strategy but keep using the artillery gun cause over time it gains ammo, so use it to take out groups or deployments

Hookie I have a better strategy for the eight waves before entering the ship go back to where you came from and keep mopping the eight waves with corner cover with a plasma pistol and grenades

I was on a mission to finish all MCC campaigns on legendary, i started with halo CE and it took me 14 hours, halo reach took me 9 hours, i had a lot of fun in every campaign (even halo 2), and then... This was the only one left... I stopped on this mission. Halo 4 is a big piece of shit.

When I first played this mission on the original Xbox it scared me to death especially the shadows in the swamp in the first part of this mission I got to that large log and spotted the "creature" on the hill in front of me and opened fire with the pistol and just about crapped myself when it got back up after I "killed" it.
