Honestly though, this was indeed a great filming location for episode 7 and I'm glad we had the opportunity to do so. Whenever I can finally get a crew together and drain the tunnel, maybe that would make for something to tie into another episode? Guess we'll have to throw that idea around a little.

At times I do, but these day's I don't take on a whole lot of commissions like I used to. I tend to just mainly do projects for myself most of the time.

Actually I believe the truck is owned by Brad's Classic Trucks in North Carolina.

I commonly use oil based enamel paint from spray cans. Some of the finer details are done by hand either with water based acrylic paints or using paint markers.

@@gordonline6942 I'd say just got out and buy the Tamiya paint. It's water based acrylic paint so it's easy to use and clean up afterward.

It really is great to hear from you again, Zac. Yes, a lot of what you mention shines even more light on what I've been able to present, and it's a damn shame. CZcams just seems to be beating you down time after time, and I can definitely see where you're fighting a losing battle. I know Marty even mentioned in a livestream he did during lockdown that he was losing a lot of subscribers and didn't understand why, and someone did bring up that CZcams will unsubscribe people from your channel if they don't interact with it over a period of time. Then when you bring up how CZcams doesn't promote your content anymore, that's just as bad. One thing that really sticks with me is how you mentioned in 2020 that CZcams was not promoting your content when you say (and I quote), "During a time when streaming content has never been more popular." Needless to say, you're not the only one who felt that way. COPPA has really taken it's toll on a lot of channels, and I too have been effected as well. My view counts are down, and I've even lost several of my videos as they've been deemed to be child directed. My channel started out on diecast content, and sadly these days diecast videos really don't pull the views they once did. If your channel has over 300k subscribers, there is no reason your videos shouldn't be pulling half that number in views at the very least. You mentioned about reworking your channel to do restoration videos, and it seems like a few years back a lot of channels jumped into doing restorations, but I noticed after that some of them just stopped uploading after only a short while. My only guess is that CZcams wouldn't promote them either. All I can say is that whether you choose to start uploading again or not, you're presence on the CZcams network still means a lot to many I'm sure. Even to this day I'm still going back and watching your videos just because of how entertaining they are, especially when I'm sitting at the workbench and tackling my own projects. It was great to see you leave a comment on this video and know that you're still alive and well, which is really the best news to hear after 3 years. Currently been doing a lot of writing for it, but have not had time to actually put anything together. Hoping to at least get a short video made here before the year is out, but it just depends if I get around to it.

Yeah, I've definitely grown on the look myself. Don't get me wrong, I still like Clive Spong's illustrations, but they don't suit this model.

Hurricane is definitely one I want to tackle since I have Frankie, but no idea where to go with Merlin or if I'll even attempt a custom of him. Time will tell.

My own personal collection consists of 7 Percy models as well. The 1985 Percy, 1985 Percy with Annie and Clarabel, 1990 Percy, 1993 Pullback Percy, 1998 Metallic Percy, my custom chocolate covered Percy, and of course my RWS Percy.

I usually don't bother with 3D printing as sometimes the quality isn't the best. Not only that, I'm kinda old school where I'd rather scratchbuild something instead.

Center punch the holes first and make sure the drill bit doesn't walk. Actually had that issue when I attempted my Liz custom, and if you look at 0:34, you can see the far left Percy is the one I was originally going to use for her. That was a failed attempt at drilling the windows as they didn't match.

It's just some cheap pull back one that I got in a fan mail unboxing. I've seen the same one as a pencil sharpener.

I just used water since it's a water based acrylic paint, but I think a lot of people would tell you to use acrylic thinners instead. Like I mention in the video, the paint on this really smoothed out after the clear coat was applied. Not sure why it does that, but it works and that's all that matters.

Well that just makes this one more valuable then since there's one less of them on the planet now.
