Great video man. I enjoyed it. Thank you.
My pleasure. Thanks for watching.
Just got those this week esplar platine white.... mine are stiff as of now. I love the look.
The look is so low key and cool. But yeah they are stiff and will stay that way for awhile. Eventually they break in but it’s a process. I recommend cushioned insoles.
You suck if you think the original ‘chocolate bar’ strap sucks.
Love the watch. It’s fun, very good looking and the super quarts is actually quite spot on. My only issues are knowing the fact that Endurance pro’s case is made out of polymer, so it is essentially plastic…. Kinda like swatch’s moon swatch (which is made out of 30% bio-polymer)…. Somehow Breitling tick all the boxes but Swatch failed to do so ….
You’re so right about that. The Swatch is literally a toy, cute but ultimately just a novelty. The Breitling is a bonafide tool watch through and through. But nobody is actually comparing these two when it comes to what’s my next watch.
Wrist size?
16cm
man, you got the coolest watch on the planet....been hesitating for years if I should get one....got the Big Pilot 43 in the meantime....but can´t get the 46 out of my head, still afraid it would be too large too uncomfortable on my wrist (18 cm).... tough decision to make :-)
Thanks so much. 🥰
I agree with those who point out that the 36 is perfect for your wrist. The 40 you were wearing looked way too big.
Thanks very much! Check out some of my other vids too!
AGREED! with everything you shared. My only three gripes about the 556 series. 1. The date window is tiny. 2. The second black back of hand when moving the black portion for a few seconds the hour and minute hands white section interfere with the atheistic. Suggestion trim secondhand tail or paint a little bit less white on the hour and minute hands. 3. (both series 556,856) COME ON SINN! These lines would be perfect if the second hand was not a different shade of the hands. OR lume the second hand, its also a good way to make sure you watch is opperating. T)
Thanks for your comment! To address your points 1. the date window is different (!) on the 555a and 556i (!!) check out my comparative review video. 2. I think the back of the hand (tail) is needed to counterbalance and I like the look but point taken. 3. Agree on this point. But still great great watches. 👍🏽
I haven’t even watched the video yet but wanted to say thank you straight away for posting an 856 non UTC review, I think its the only one on CZcams, currently deciding between this and a U50 ❤
My pleasure! Hope you enjoy the video. Check out my U50 review as well!
My number 1 go to watch the last 2 years has been my Marathon 34m GPQ. Looks just perfect on my medium 7.5 wrist.
Glad to hear it!

taking shots at @youreterrific?
AP only. When you care enough to send the very best.
Good review. By looking at both versions, its hard to find where this 2mm difference comes from. Is it the bezels or the dials that were made smaller in the 41mm version? Are you able to use a micro meter to measure the width of the dials and the bezels? I know it might be hard to do but worth it if you need to have a view on the sizes. Thanks!
Hi thanks for the comment! The difference is in the size of the dial. All the markers are the same size interestingly so they look very “jumbo” on the 39 and a little small on the 43. There 41 somehow seems just right. I have another 41 in a different color actually so be on the lookout for a new Longines Hydroconquest video!
Thank you for the review. Great idea about the saying on the pen. I never considered that. Awesome watch and band too! My handwriting was worst than yours. I started practicing by writing the following sentence over and over: “there is no better way to serve God than to cheerfully embrace his holy will.” I must have written in 1000 times. It’s implanted in my mind and my handwriting is so much better.
Thanks for watching!
The crown is there so it is ambidextrous, won’t dig into your hand no matter if its on the left or right wrist
Thanks!
Thank you, not many youtube watch guys who cover Panerai. Great overview of this lovely watch.
Thank you for the kind words!
Greatly appreciate your honest thoughts, so rare these days. Subscribed.
Thank you! 🫱🏼🫲🏽
I don’t see the point of paying for Montblanc unless it’s a fountain pen, these pen companies ate known for their nibs not the name.
Unfortunately a fountain pen would be impractical for me on a day to day basis. Thanks for the comment.
lol the 36mm looks infinitely better
My infinite thanks! 🤙🏽
Wheres the shirt from?
A brand called Outerknown. This is one of their blanket shirts. 🤙🏽
What do you think of the Ecozilla yellow?
I really need to get a ‘zilla to review for the channel. They fit oddly though. There are strap adapters though.
Nice Junghans Max Bill! And great video. This helps me decide on my purchase.
Thank you very much!
Do you still have the watch? Thinking of buying one.
I don’t but I would suggest searching for one secondhand. It’s a great watch but there are lots of other choices in this same niche (Archimede, Sinn, Damasko, etc.).
I bought a Panerai 104 back in March 2021. I really didn't think I could ever wear a large watch due to my less than 7-inch wrist, but I absolutely love it. I'd advise everyone to go and try on a Panerai. I tend to wear mine on NATO's and a light brown leather Zulu strap. I wish your channel all the best!
Thank you! I’m glad you have found a watch you love!
I'd argue the large watch trend is ridiculous and most people don't have wrist size to support massive watches. 39mm is ideal for most people. Larger than that is borderline and the massive trend is like chicks with huge fake diamonds. Just looks absurd. That 36mm watch is so much nicer on your wrist than the larger one.
Appreciate the comment! Check out some of my other vids too!
My, take 🧐… I’m in the market for my last watch.. all my watches but one are beveled, except for one field watch, which is my beater.. 8 1/2” wrists, I smash into everything! So I wear a field watch on extended fishing trips as not to ruin my nicer divers! This is where the U50 is going to fit in, in my rotation 🤔.. a tool watch designed for punishment, nothing more, nothing less. Originally I was leaning towards a Pelagos, but now I think I made up my mind!🧐.. if you want a statement piece, I recommend you look elsewhere! As for me, I ain’t ascared of women with hairy armpits 😉🥸🙃
🤔😂 your point is well taken though, this is a rock solid tool watch with just enough visual and horological interest to keep you engaged for the long haul; not to send a tomahawk into your plans but have you considered the 856 in either variation?
Breitling looks like a watch from a stoneage. 😂
I own one got it bead blasted plus used rubber strap as found it too heavy on the wrist otherwise Check out bead blasting looks great Will keep her forever
Very cool upgrade! Will check it out.
Hello there just for inquiry, what is the circumference of your wrist?
16cm
What’s your wrist size?
16cm
May I know where to buy the strap?
Look up “artstyle” on Amazon.
@@soundsoserious thank you bro.✔️
So rare to see the Rolex and the Panerai next to each other, great video. They say imitation Is the sincerest form of flattery and the Sub has been copied to death. In my eyes that's why the Panerai looks so nice, nothing else like it. I'm by no means throwing shade on the Rolex, it really is the king but personally I prefer my 682.
Well said! Both brands have a rich history of diving watches and these are great in their own way.
Time peices not for keeping time?. Yes, time is important. Yes, you should wear a good watch to keep track of time well.
Great video! I own one in OEM bracelet. Have you considered a sailcloth strap? I’m curious how it would look & feel in sailcloth.
Thank you! I think it will look great because it’s a watch that has a very classic look so any strap can work. I have a new one coming in a different color actually so be on the lookout for that video!
@@soundsoserious sure, i can’t wait! 👌🏻
U get a IWC n Panerai in one watch 😊 for the price of 1.
Interesting strap color there. Brown strap. Black bezel, white dial, plus blue shirt you wearing. Colors are adding up there mate! You like rainbow! Eyes are wondering whicy color to adjust to already 😂
Love the cv2010, has been treating us well for almost 20 years! Great watches.
Such a bargain nowadays. I’m a big fan!
Since it’s titanium, is it really lightweight where you don’t feel it? I have a Pam 187. That’s very very heavy almost too heavy to wear Daley. Looking for something in between and I want to get a new sub. Not sure how I will feel about it. It’s a gorgeous watch though.
Hi, thanks for the comment. This grade of titanium is pure so it isn’t alloyed with lighter metals. Therefore it weighs less than steel but is noticeably heavier than cheaper grade 5 titanium which contains aluminum.
Nice shots of the watch, which is what I wanted to see.
Thanks! My videos are generally a “hands on” with the watch followed by an extended “wrist shot”. And like you, that’s what I’m looking for in watch videos too.
Nice. But what I really wanna know is where you bought that sick shirt?
lol thanks my wife hates it 🤣, it’s from a company called Duvin
20mm not 22mm lug width.
I stand corrected. The earlier models were 20mm and the later EVO models are 22mm. Apologies for the confusion.
What’s your wrist measurement?
16cm
I feel confident in claiming the 39mm is the best looking of the Explorers available, but if you're really serious about the history of the Explorer than it's really hard not to go with a 36mm.
I agree. 39mm mk2 will go down as peak explorer.
IMO, the 40 is awesome
Haven’t tried the 40 yet. Pics look good tho.
I've been looking at Resco for a little while now and liked your watch so much that I just ordered an identical one. A Patriot 1 in RWB stainless. Even added a cool khaki NATO band just like yours. You have good taste!
Awesome! Great watches. What movement did you get.
@@soundsoserious The Sellita SW200
@@soundsoseriousIronically I have a TAG Heuer Aquaracer that’s identical to yours as well. Haha.
lol….comparing this to a Daytona….does not even look similar
It looks a little similar no?
I mean, I definitely wouldn't mistake it for one.
Where’s the strap from? Looks the goods.. I’ve had the red endurance pro for a few years and absolutely love it for work (construction)
It’s from Amazon. Tons of options on there. One of the best things is how much easier (and cheaper) it is to get straps now lol.
Keep the MK1!
That’s an unpopular opinion! What’s your rationale? 🤔
