Let me tell you how AWESOME the Overland Torque Tune (OTT) is for your 3rd generation Tacoma. It Increases Your horsepower and Torque by 25 and instead of your torque coming on at 3,800 RPM, after the OTT, you’ll have 100% Torque at 2,300 RPM. Also install a Dry Cold Air Intake and depending on which one you choose can Increase your Horsepower and Torque by 5-15. I’m currently pumping out 318 Horsepower and 295 lbs ft of Torque. You’ll Immediately notice that your transmission STOPS “Hunting” for the right gear. I have a couple of inclines that I have to drive when I’m driving into the city. Before the OTT, my transmission would downshift from 6th into 5th and immediately into 4th when I have my cruise control set on 66 mph. Now it’ll downshift into 5th and stay in 5th. The transmission is now buttery smooth and I’m getting better fuel efficiency by 1-3 mpg. Combination driving, Highway / city I was getting 17-18 mpg. I’m now getting 19-20mpg. At 86 mph with the cruise set, I’m getting 21.9 mpg, whereas before the OTT I was getting 19.7. After having the OTT installed I told 3 of my friends about it. Two of them have had the OTT installed and they’re getting about the same mpg, if not better than me. My OTT cost me $450 USD.

I installed a Dry cold air intake and an Overland Torque Tune, (OTT). My 23 Tacoma TRD Off Road, double cab, 6’ bed with the Premium and Technology pkgs with the TRD Performance exhaust now has 318 horsepower and 295 lbs ft of torque at 2,300 RPM. The OTT has Increased my fuel efficiency by 1-3 mpg. At 86 mph with the cruise control set, I’m getting 21.9 mpg. At 103 mph with a strong cross head wind I get 17.4 mpg. I’ve added Lava Red accents to the control knobs, air vents, door trim, gear selector handle, interior door handle trim, a black padded arm rest diamond stitched in Red, and Red lettering for the “Tacoma” on the tailgate, the “Toyota” on the tailgate handle, Lava Red overlays on the exterior badging. Next year I’m adding Lava Red (Barcelona Red) Leather seat covers from Katzkin, so I’m looking for a Buyer for the factory Black Leather Seat Covers, both front and rear seats. Also next year I’m having my White Tacoma 2 toned in Barcelona Red following the body lines on the lower sections of my TRD and buying Gold / Bronze wheels and a 1-2” Lift. I’ll be turning 60 next year and I plan on keeping my 23 TRD until I die. I normally drive only 6-8K miles per year so after my death I’m quite sure that my wife will still be using my TRD to plow the 5-7 feet of snow off of our private road and driveway until either she can no longer drive or until her death.

Make sure to carry a OBD scanner with you when it decides to go into LIMP MODE for no reason and you have the clear the codes to get back to normal. 9 months no problem then out of the blue everylight on the dash lights up and BOOM limp mode, was close to the house but scary if it were to happen on the freeway or off the road, Not going to re-install, I do not trust it anymore

I just bought this like a week ago, and honestly, it is really worth it! especially for those who take long road trips, this will become ur little companion. However, it has some disadvantages, as u mentioned, it stays connected. Which means if u forget to disconnect it before u get off the car, u'll likely have to buy another battery next morning ;c. Also, it heats up so quickly! and when it does, it becomes a lil bit laggy. Apple carplay is also slower when using this unit. Overall, despite all of these downsides, it is still good.

Hello Rob , here's what I did , I went to the John Deere dealership and bought a can of flat black John Deere high temp. muffler paint , I sprayed the pipe all the way back under the truck to the muffler , then installed the black tail pipe tip , you see nothing shiny from the rear . The John Deere high temp muffler paint is about $30.00 a can , will last for many years , it's blended specifically for this purpose . My tacoma is electric blue and I'm blacking everything else out black .

2021 Honda Ridgline touring model has better interior features when it comes to comfort, cup holders, USB ports air conditioning and seating space than this 2023 tacoma. The payload on the 2021 Honda Ridgeline is close to 1500 lbs and it can tow a 3000 lbs fishing boat easy. I think most truck buyers buy too much of a truck for their needs. If you had to drive 5 hours and your buddies want to go on a trip and you had a choice to pick the tacoma or the ridgeline to travel in I bet your buddies will pick the Ridgeline because they will choose comfort. It is all personal preference they say but 95 percent of driving need are on the pavement instead off road use. Honda is a mid size truck and if you do not think so try fitting a 4x4 atv in a Honda Pilot or a Passport, you can't. I can tow a boat, a camper, an Atv 4x4 etc. what more can you ask for.

Surely Toyota getting greedy. Expecting potential buyer or even current buyer to pay so much for the unproven reliability like the gen3 especially for new engine. Look at all the Tundra issues. Note, the rear seat seam smaller and the storage also smaller. The rear windows also smaller. What are they thinking 😢. Currently owning a 22 TRD Sport too. Glad I didn’t wait for the gen4. A lots of supposedly standard features, now they makes you pay for it.

I would prefer to be able to lock the tailgate so it doesn't get stolen but leave the tonneau cover unlocked for when there are no valuables in the box? It would be terrible if some crack head used a prybar to open the cover only to find the box is empty? I have seen the damage a prybar does to the top of a tailgate.
