I bought a Revue Thommen 1853 Nostalgia Automatic watch… back in 2010.. $258 USD and $5 importation tariff tax. It runs about 150 hours a month. Keeps very good time. Never got it serviced but light use… dress watch. Original leather band wore out in 2024.

As an owner of Rolex and Omega as well as Seiko, Orient, Citizen and Phoibos, I am amazed how Invicta can make such a good watch at such a low price - I regularly wear my Invicta a day after my GMT Master II or Seamaster or my PADI diver - I am proud to wear it because it’s a good watch!

Ive owned many g shocks and the functions on this particular model are brilliant. All the regular features incl solar power , power save , multiband ,tide and moon graph.

I have never been disappointed since I became a customer of amzwatch. Their watches are of exceptional quality.

Lost my clasp pin on a Cascio and now I can’t re-connect the band after taking out some links. What is the pin that connects the ends of the clasp called? Any idea where I can purchase one or two ? Thanks

Thank you for this video. Yes, I have made a few mistakes, sometimes a combination of the ones you have listed. But fortunately, I was able to sell a few. But, I love even those which I have now retired from daily wear. Over the years I have grown very careful before buying any watch and have adopted my own check - I keep it in the basket of the website for about a fortnight and after that, if I still feel I love it, I buy it. In this manner, I have avoided unnecessary purchases on many occasions. I follow a simple rule of collecting - segregate my watches into sections - dress watches (quartz, automatic & solar), Swiss watches and since I am also an automobile enthusiast, affordable automobile branded watches. In these I have purchased just one watch from each brand while trying to cover different features. Of course, in very few instances I have broken this rule, having no other option. I also do a lot of hunting on the Net before I settle on any watch. I read a lot of reviews so that I am aware of the pros. and cons. of the watch before I put my money down on it. I hate to return a watch to any channel although most provide easy return options, as I feel that is quite unfair to the merchant. I have stopped raving over top brands (as they are ridiculously priced to own and maintain), thanks to good quality hommages available. I know some enthusiasts may disagree, but going by the fact that I will only live once, I will at least have the joy of having a good alternative to that timepiece on my wrist which would otherwise remain an unfulfilled dream.

If you want a watch that you can mod easily at home (if you are fairly good with your hands) the Seiko 5 is a good choice. There are a number of upgrades, like a sapphire crystal and a ceramic bezel, that are very cheap to purchase. I am a proud owner of a Swiss drive Invicta Pro Diver, but lean towards the S5 and will probably purchase one of these. Love the gold hands and indices against the green background.

I was drawn to your video because today on Amazon the price is $199. And I fell in love with the dial. But now I see the bracelet is trash. So if I buy a better bracelet the combined price might be more than I want to pay compared to other watches that are just as nice, like the orient or even San Martin. Thank you.

Why are you not making videos

I only buy gold watches. I have a gold datejust watch. It’s the only watch I have. Plus service is $1000. I think it’s better to buy something made of gold. It’s like jewelry that tells time. Even if the Rolex part of the watch is worthless. Gold is still gold. No low end watches or other watches brands make gold ones. I don’t think I’d get a steel one. It’s pretty worthless and equivalent of stainless steel jewelry. A shame not all brands make gold stuff. Only partly gold unfortunately.
