My husband and I have heard Julian perform at the Palladium from our front row seats! He is an AMAZING musician!! Full of passion and love for the music and the instrument! He has p-ermormed outrageously difficult pieces on his instrument with passion and excitement for the written notes!!We adore him (and his wife) who is a well known pianist! They are magical together!!!! If you EVER get the chance to hear either or both of them perform, don't hesitate; you WILL NOT be disappointed!!!

Julian, absolutely ridiculous Lh technique, good lord! It’s like watching a glissando with how quiet those fingers are, I remember being jaw-dropped by this many years ago when u we’re playing at Eastern Music Festival 😂😂

You covered a lot of territory on this video that can help young cellists perform to a high standard - particularly with respect to the effective use of the bow. You provided outstanding instructional approaches and clear concepts that they can easily take home with them! Great teaching!

Why did you change the g in bar 7 (before-last 16th note in the cello part) into f#? It is g in the first edition and the historical B&H Gesammtausgabe. It also makes masterful sense in the harmonic context. The f# is only superficially correct from a textbook perspective. Brahms knew what he was doing - why second-guess him?
