I am calling cap on this report. I don't see The Sixers making PG a max player and i don't see PG leaving the west coast. I think PG opts in and continues to negotiate with The Clippers while playing on his one yr $48 mil deal. In other words he gets to make the money he wants to make without leaving LA and giving him and Kawhi one more postseason together. However i do see Warriors owner maybe wanting to pay PG a max deal to pair him with Steph, Klay, and Dray, so i could see a trade between The Warriors and Clippers. The Sixers don't have the players that would entice The Clippers because with Kawhi in place, they want to compete, not tank. The Warriors can offer a package of Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga, Kevon Looney, Gary Payton II, and another young player at around $1.5 mil(possibly a couple 2nd rd picks as well) They are likely to release CP3. The Clippers would have zero interest in that $30 mil contract. My best guess is PG stays in LA, plays one more year and continues to negotiate with The Clippers.

I would have given them a B+ before adding Justin Edwards. Now I'd say A-. I like both McCain and Bona, but adding a short shooting guard next to Maxey doesn't blow my socks off and Bona might be a solid back-up center, but, again, a backup isn't going to move the needle much. Edwards, however, as raw as he is, brings size and athleticism precisely where we lack it. What I don't like is that his confidence, apparantly, took a dive once he reached Kentucky. Gee, another Sixer with head problems, a la Fultz and Simmons?

C-. McCain is a backup on this team. If this was prime Ben Simmons PG, McCain would be fine, probably start. Not with Maxey. Bona is a full on project and has zero game away from the rim, isn’t a good rebounder, and they should have targeted someone like Post who is a literal sniper at 7-1. Knecht or da Silva was the correct pick for THIS team. I don’t dislike McCain but this fit? Their best move was Justin Edward’s tbh.
