I bought the trilogy on DVD years ago. I thought all 3 were pretty good.

Just a quick update dude I’ve just seen a it’s confirmed all three films are done but all filming is all done. It’s in the can but obviously the next few years is gonna be releasing them and doing all the effects and the sound and everything else but yeah, I don’t think there’s much concern about is the other two gonna get made on this one sogreat stuff

Karate Bullfighter is one of my favorites. I hope Eureka has more Sonny Chiba releases planned. There is an excellent TV series Sonny Chiba starred in called The Bodyguard in 1974. Not to be confused with the Bodyguard or Bodyguard Kiba movies. I have the complete series in Japanese without english subtitles but I would love to see a proper blu ray release. The series is great. Also a little known Sonny Chiba film called A Narcotics Agents Ballad & it's sequel The Horrible Obsessions both also from the 1970s. Classic Chiba. I'd love for more of his films & TV series to be exposed to a broader audience.

Hi bro... just wanted to ask. Did you put your 4k disc into the blu-ray player? Or did you get both prints from 88 films?

Got mine delivered a couple of days ago and after what you just said about Demon Hunter I’ve had it for years and I’ve never watched it. I don’t know why but yeah, if you’re gonna wreck it that much then yeah that’s my night and tonight those two so cheers dude.

It’s a great transfer but 88 Film missed a trick by not putting on the 5.1 mix from the Cina Asia blu ray.

There will be no UK release due to the 'good old' strict BBFC Animal Cruelty Act. (Looks like a real Bull was used/Killed)

I picked up the original release of this. I gotta say, this is easily my least favorite of Jackie’s Lo Wei films, though it does have its moments. I’m tempted to upgrade just for Kung Fu Bob’s artwork, and because I’m a Jackie completist. I’ll give it a rewatch in the improved quality and see if I like it any better. I’m much more excited about the impending upgrade of Dragon Fist, I quite like that one. And, of course, one of my 3-D holy grails, Magnificent Bodyguards, although I’m worried about the quality of the 3-D restoration, because my confidence in Fortune Star’s stereoscopic alignment correction abilities is absolutely nil, and they are notorious for sometimes slapping arbitrary restrictions on licensees, so I’m not confident FS will let 88 make fixes if they screw it up. Fingers crossed! Another early Jackie film I really wish 88 would rescue is the uncut unadulterated Cub Tiger from Kwangtung, a seriously underrated film and Jackie’s Kung Fu starring debut. The final fight on the docks is an absolute whiz-banger!

Incredible film. It should have the same kind of recognition as something like RRR.

I actually love this film, I think it's my favourite of the Lo Wei era and the quality of this print is way better. I question why they are upgrading and how many others they will do this to.

I kinda dig the obi strip, when I picked up Tokyo Decadence I was delighted by its inclusion and will probably double dip on this movie since I already have the unearthed version. Great video!

Never seen this but I just preordered it from Amazon on your recommendation! So, regarding The Thousand Faces of Dunjia, no, it’s definitely not one of Tsui Hark’s or Yuen Woo-Ping’s best, but I have the 3-D Blu-ray of it, and the excellent 3-D makes it worthwhile. Now, the 3-D Blu-rays of Flying Swords of Dragon Gate, Young Detective Dee: Rise of the Sea Dragon, and Detective Dee and the Four Heavenly Kings are all absolutely sublime, all excellent films with excellent native 3-D. You should pick up a used 3-D telly. There’s a lot of great 3-D HK films.

It is a 4K restoration btw. Warner put it out in Korea and then globally.

Are you sure this'll doesn't have two English subtitle options? Warner put this out in Korea first then internationally and that's got English and English HOH. I reckon it's the same release. Cantonese, English or Mandarin. 4K remaster.

I have this fantastic film on a old Hong. Kong dvd but a blu release will be fantastic can’t wait now hopefully. We get the rest of the miracle films as well 😍

I was really really chuffed to get a copy of this like when it came out prices have started going up from what I can see but that doesn’t really make much difference to me. I’ve got it cheaper but yeah awesome awesome video mate cheers.

Sounds like an excellent set!, I don't know about the film until I saw the Eureka trailer to be honest. I absolutely adore films that go all out on practical effects, will definitely by adding this to my collection too 🤩.

So many classics banished to rights hell. I have that Nova Media Chinese Ghost Story box, but the transfers are SD upscales, the color timing is wonky, the subtitles are the same old badly translated typo-riddled subs from the old theatrical prints, and the soundtracks are remixes with some incorrect music cues. I was hoping to be able to get rid of my old Deltamac DVDs, but nope, because the Deltamacs at least have the original mono soundtracks present and correct. I didn’t waste money on the Better Tomorrow box. Sigh…

Thanks for sharing this video,is it difficult to come across Hong Kong Legends DVDs I think I’ve only 6 or 7 I seen Bruce Lee films back in the early 1970’s I travelled as far as Comber and Newtownards to see the Kung Fu films.
