On this channel, Wander Wonders, join us, the Randy and Trisha Selgrath, as we travel all over the USA, Canada, and Europe. We converted a 15 seat Ford Passenger Van Hightop. After spending years dreaming, designing, researching, watching others' videos, and now bringing it all into fruition. We'll share innovative design solutions and real world build challenges. We'll show you what went right and what went wrong to help your build go smoothly.

Month 2: Transformation In Progress! Concrete, Tree Cutting, Remote Control Stump Grinder Plus More!
Month Two on our mini farm was very busy. We'l go over all the projects. I planted a few veggies in the garden and flowers in the beds. Our foundation for the garage was poured. Very tall trees were taken down by a 92 FT crane. We saw our first remote control stump grinder. . . now there's a big boy toy! Water softener was installed. Randy put up a new bathroom light, a fan in the guest bedroom, racks for the paddle boards, and some more drapes which I hemmed. We celebrated Father's Day and Randy's birthday with the family. I made lots of food. Now we're working on spreading all those wood chips and I have begun a woodland path. Whew! Join us for this leg of our adventure on the farm. Enjoy~ Trisha Selgrath

The only pick that I'd consider outside of your "much more than Lisbon and Porto" list is Tomar. The whole Algarve, Sintra, Ericeira and, unfortunately, even Monsanto ("thanks", Game of Thrones) are now too well known to be part of the "more than this or that" that Portugal has to offer.
There are many more but most people want to see the places a country is known for first before exploring the smaller towns which I prefer. Monsanto, by the way, was not at all crowded in late September. Thanks for watching! ~Trisha

I have an itch to go back to Stanley, Idaho. I'm supposed to meet friends back in Buena Vista, CO to go rafting and some other friends in Montana. Hoping fires aren't going to be bad. A day trip from Lisbon or Braga, the capital of Minho, ( not Porto or Viana do Castelo), to Penela, region of COIMBRA!😊

Yes, the entrance to Shadow Mountain is GPS: 43.703844,-110.622226 As the video indicated, you can stay down low or go up the gravel road to find several additional spots. It is amazing that it is free! ~ Trisha
Do campgrounds have access to waterfalls? if not what smoky mountain camps do?
You can access many waterfalls (like Abrams Falls) from the Cades Cove loop. However, you will probably want to drive or ride a bike to the trailheads from the campground. There are lovely smaller falls along the streams bordering both campgrounds. Driving through the park, you will see several trailheads for waterfalls. Have fun! ~ Trisha

I found that out there. We actually went to Monsanto twice, I loved it so much that I had to take my friend there and then I combined footage from both trips. Truly a unique, amazing town. Now I need to go back and binge GOT! ~ Trisha

My family stayed at Cades Cove in the early '60s while I was a young teen. We visited a farm that was still occupied by the children of the original family. They were in the late 80's but loved to tell visitors of what it was like growing up there in the 1800's. I loved camping there. Thanks for the memories.
I grew up near there so some of my favorite childhood memories include exploring the cove. Yes, we too have spoken to the residents. The farm and beehives were there only a couple of decades ago. Thanks so much for watching. ~ Trisha
