Can't believe Michael missed the NECA Flash Gordon w/ tree monster diorama. That tree monster thing looks like just the thing he'd spend too much money on just for an accessory. Myself, I got the NECA Dinosaurs and Alf figures. I like 'em. They're fun. If I can get the GI Joe Cobra Commander great but I'm not worried about it if I don't. I'd like the Superman statue but Todd can lick my skidmarks for his recent bull$#!t.

Great show back. Always enjoying the replays. Excited for a few SDCC showings, went in on the neca first turtles, also interested in Jada street fighter violent Ken, and chun li…I’m with Cory, annoyed that two bad is an exclusive, will skip, but hopefully we’ll get just a regular 2 bad cartoon collection later down the line. I do enjoy super7, so interested to see what all they do for tmnt!

I am new to the Super 7 Simpson line, i absolutely love Kang and Kodos …and that hooked me but i am shocked at how poor the quality of some of these figures…

Great discussion, I am new to SUPER 7 as a company…I discovered a unboxing review of KANG and KONOS figures and before I knew it I was hooked….the QC issues with the legs of DEVIL FLANDERS is mind blowing….i really want to know why this company chose certain background cult classic characters and not focusing on the primary core character at least in their first line….to me the line was more in the $35 price range but higher for other characters that came with more accessories

I think the high cost ($55) per figure was due to the expensive rights that Super 7 had to pay Disney…I also was surprised how Super 7 quality control was bad in some figures….the legs on Devil Flanders is ridiculously loose and falls off easily

I love these secondary characters, but that is weird Super 7 didn’t have a line with the main characters….i really think this was a cost saving …I really wish I knew what Disney was asking Super 7 to get the toy rights …

I am surprised why they chose the characters, that was chosen …but no freakin Milhouse?!? I get getting Krusty the clown but no Sideshow Bob, that is crazy

In term of action figures, I believe it, especially the higher end stuff that you have to boil like a packet of Ramen before you can bend the joints (the future is stupid). Those things aren't going to withstand heavy play. In terms of the more generic toy banner, like Playdough, Lego, board games, puzzles (both of the jigsaw puzzle variety and stuff like Rubix Cubes), Hotwheels-type cars, etc? I don't think adult collectors have necessarily overtaken kids in those categories. The term "kidults" is definitely an older term. The first time I saw the term was in a Marvel Transformers comic, published in the 80's. There was a letters column, hosted by Grimlock, and there was a picture of him with a word bubble that said "Hello kids and kidults!" It was cute because I could definitely see Grimlock getting confused like that. lol

Judging from the backpacks at my kids school, Minecraft, Marvel, and Star Wars still are the big brands. Oh and Pokémon. Minecraft by far in my daughters school is most ubiquitous.

I agree with the natural progression. My kids are three and seven and have a healthy mix of physical toys and apps and such. Barbies, ninja turtles, and now Mario figures becasue of the movie. Oh and the star wars young jedi cartoon figures and young spidey figures. They also love the corresponding virtual experiences of those brands as well. My three year old's favorite game right now is to act out things from the Mario movie and Mario Run with his figures.

i really liked these turtles the accessories are nice , the weapons could be improved as far as durability of the swords mine broke while trying to put them in the hands, as well as the sheath was part broken when i opened it. I got the clean version before they had these washed version . the wash looks like it was done fast, i feel it could have been done better in that they put it everywhere and alot of it in some parts. . kind of takes away more than it adds . good video .

The Cantina is far from perfect. At $500 it should feel and look complete. It needs a removable roof and outer walls so it actually looks like a full building. It could also use a wash. It’s definitely a cool piece but $500 worth it is not. The Ghost actually felt complete. I have a feeling inflation will eventually kill the Haslab model.

Listening to this pod and wanted to weigh in on Jada. I ordered the Mega Man from BBTS and when I opened it saw a weird plastic bubble on one of the legs. Jada offered to replace the whole figure or send just the replacement part after they got a new shipment, BBTS also offered a replacement. I opted to wait for just the part. I was impressed by both companies' responses.

I have an account that I set aside the money in anytime I preorder something so whether it comes early or on time, I never have to worry about it. I get others can’t do that but honestly if an early PO for a $25-$100 purchase hitting your account affects your financial situation that much, they probably shouldn’t be collecting toys or should at least be choosier. (Not talking directly about you, Michael, just speaking in general). Things are def getting tough out there and moneys getting tighter.

The big toy companies only care about selling product. If something shows up early and they aren't shipping it out that is costing them money (storage fees, etc). They sell so much product that if Michael's credit card is declined because the VAMP arrived before its expected ship date, there are countless other Michaels who are lined up and ready to pay. The Lennys will tell Michael they care about him and Lenny probably does. But Lenny is not Hasbro and Hasbro could not care less about Michael. They only care about sales and they do NOT care if they sell it to Michael, Carl or Scalperbot-5000. Product will sell even if its to Ollie's at a discount. (and any loss they take on product is a tax write-off at the end of the year so they are coming out ahead, don't let the Wall Street numbers fool you) So, even if you COULD get a collector base to agree on cancelling their orders and you COULD get them to actually follow through, there will always be someone else lined up to take their place in the capitalist circle of life. Worst case scenario Hasbro has a bad news cycle if that.
