Hey! We are Nick and Zoe Baker of Chestnut Hills Farmstead in Clanton, Alabama. For the last 5 years, we have slowly began to explore, improve and make plans for our future on our 40 acre farm. Nick and I want to provide as much home grown food for our family as we can. Everything we do is trial and error and a learning experience. We are currently raising pastured poultry, hogs, goats, ducks, geese, turkeys, donkeys and a slew of egg layers in an assortment of breeds. I hope with publishing our journey on CZcams, we can help and learn from others on the same journey as us.

My sister had the iron levels of a dead person and her now ex-husband wouldn't let her get the transfusion. My sister looks as pale as me when her blood count is low. Normally she is a couple of shades darker than me. She looks Native American. Everyone except for my sister drains my energy. Even Lee and our son Daniel are energy vampires for me. I need alone time to recharge. Carbs and sugar give me a little energy and then I crash. If I skip them I don't crash.
