i remember going on the Molly Brown when visiting Disneyland Paris, even being able to "steer" the boat, and i have to say, it is a very lack luster attempt to replicate the Mark Twain boat, once your on the boat, there isnt much to look at aside from a dinosaur skeleton next to Phantom Manor

Oh yeah, I remember watching a fastpass facts video about the Mark twain in paris. It's a damn shame to watch an icon of any disney parks just decay in a temporary looking structure. I hope disney got some plans or that boat is just gonna be like disneyland tomorrowland

I think aesthetic-wise, OG Tomorrowland should adopt a 1950's retrofuturistic aesthetic a la Buck Rogers.

I refuse to even go on the new ride its not even close to splash mountain. idk how they could remove that for this awful boring mess.

Besides the fact that there are Rotting Muppet eyes, there are also Muppet glasses (not the 3D glasses) on the exterior of the show building which were painted to match the buildings colors. They are located next to where the original entrance was.

It certainly is/was the best of the three in terms of maintainence and details, but I really like the way WDWs “How Do You Do” section was set up tbh. All three of them had their own quirks which I liked. But at the end of the day, I’m glad we still have one left and hopefully it sticks around.

I still believe that the scary factor isn't really why it has not returned. I think there is a far bigger reason than that. Those signs were there clear as day, you even have the signs further into the attraction's queue. Plus, it was not that scary, more of PG horror, but that's about it. Nothing like The ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter that had actual horror in it, such as the worker being eaten and "Blood," actually water, would rain down on people in the darkness. I hope this comes back.

Seriously one of the coolest designs for a transportation ever. So much so we have used it as inspiration in the fictional world of Kooky Trails to pay nod to it. Fun Fact: the ride system and design was done by Actrans. A company that designed the ride system for Knott's Bear-y Tales at Knott's Berry Farm.

Thank you for covering this. My childhood in the 70's will always remember that dragon ride up to the top of the hill and going into the Magic Pagoda. I admit, they weren't in the same league as the People Mover or Haunted Mansion but they didn't have to be. The fact that these two attractions complimented each other was good enough. Also, I probably remember them as better than they were because of how I experienced them. Going up that hill at night was a silent escape from all the splashing and screaming going on in the rides below, very peaceful. Then when I got to the top that Magic Pagoda was almost always empty. No one wanted to go to the top of the hill, they only made a circle around the mountain. I had that whole thing to myself. Absolutely amazing. Both attractions probably shouldn't return, they had their time and Ninja entertains more people, but they'll always hold a place in my memories. There's nothing for me at Magic Mountain anymore. It's all roller coasters, no non-coaster rides.

Nice piece. I am old enough to remember when Samurai Summit was that summer's big new addition. However, I don't recall anything overly exciting about it. These days I would appreciate the slow moving dragon ride.

I think that the Stage 17 building will be a Lucasfilm Diner and Stage 12 and the Hyperion theater will be demolished for a Zootopia attraction using the same ride system for Despicable Me Minion Mayhem at Universal Studios Hollywood and Florida

There is also the old skyway station neaby Ninja where the bathrooms are.

Disney should have retheme one of the US-based Splash Mountains rather than retheming both of them at the same time. It's a test to see if Tiana's Bayou Adventure would do better than Splash Mountain...

I mentioned in a different comment section about "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah" being banned outside of the ride in Tokyo Disneyland, and someone said they were just at the park, and they played it at the entrance of the park. With that said, I think I don't think it's banned there.

One of the most beautiful and emotional adds on TDL is an anime style ad showing a girl growing up from baby to old lady visiting the park and riding Splash Mountain with her boyfriend in their teens. This is how Japanese cherish Splash Mountain, an icon as important as Cinderella's Castle.

Japan is getting more aware of “the Messege “ nonsense, especially after Ubisoft throwing doo doo at Japan’s history. Ubisoft could have said it’s all fiction, and called it a day. Nope, they didn’t do it, and made a black samurai game killing their people, and making Japanese peasants bow down to the fake samurai. Thank you Ubisoft, for getting Japanese more aware of the woke nonsense. (Random rant) Samurai is not only a man who wields his sword, but also a man who owns his land with peasants living on it. It’s more like Nobel Knights, but Japanese style.

Interestingly, the rumour that Zip a dee doo dah was removed from music loops seems to be false, as it still plays in multiple parts of TDL including the monorail.

I was recently at tokyo disneyland a few weeks ago and they were playing “everybody has a laughing place” in their music loop near the esplanade, though it seems there is no splash mountain merch there , as the most i could find was a pin of splash mountain with chip and dale
