Best decision I ever made? Join the fire service! Huge commitment but I have NO regrets! If I knew then what I know now? I wouldn't have waited as long as I did (I just turned 40 when I joined) If you even thought about it once, go for it!
Hey mate, respect for joining. Just curious how you feel over a year in? I'm considering joining the retained fighters but firefighters themselves are telling me not to join unless I'm willing to be on permanent lockdown in my house. I really want to do it but I feelbwith no days off it's just unmanageable with juggling my other job. And all my loved ones live a half hour away from me.

Completed recruites course 4 months ago! Incredible experience. Highly, highly, highly recommend it. Leads to, probably, the best job in the world! Met some of thee most incredible people I've ever met. Learned so much in the time we spent there! Don't hesitate! Go for it!!
