why does this thing come with 2 probes if you cant set it up for 2 seperate tanks ?????
You can set it for 2 seperate tanks or 1 tanks.
This will only work with ONE tank and two heat sources. You cannot program day and night heat coming from one outlet. You have to program day heat from outlet one, and night heat from outlet two. I wanted to use this on two python enclosures with one DHP bulb per tank, and have day temp in both at 88 and night at 78. This is not possible with this product. I don’t think it is false advertisement but I hope this helps future buyers

But the heater doesn't turn on unless the run temp is higher than the current temp. Meaning, I now have to adjust the run to 1 degree higher (74), in order for it to run. This is annoying bc you'd assume it should turn on at any temp between the run stop range. But it doesn't. This is also evidenced in this video without mention, why?
Hello. You have misunderstood the way the thermostat works. Indeed any digital thermostat. In the situation you describe, with the temperatures you mention, the thermostat is in the phase of letting the room temp fall until it reaches the run temp of 68, at which time it will turn on the heater. The room temp will rise, and the thermostat will turn off when it reaches 78. Process repeats. 68-78f gives you a range of 20f, this is too large of a range for heating a space. You will get far better performance, consistent temps, with a range of 3 or 4f.
This device will not work if your heater has a built-in thermostat. It will also not work for a air conditioner.

Yes, it will work with heaters with thermostats. Just turn them up to full. It's not rocket surgery.

In heating mode, when the current temp is lower than RUN temp, the heating device will be on; in cooling mode, when the current temp is higher than RUN temp, the cooling device will be on.
@@digitenvictor1532 Yeah I know. The heater I had was too fancy with too many different electronic settings and controls. I had to plug in a more basic ceramic heater and it worked.

@@PanopticWebDesign If current temp is less than 68, the heater will on. First time, the current temp is higher than Run temp, so the heater will don't turn on, because the current meet the range you set. Or you can set RUN temp to 74, so the heater will on.Thanks.

Just brought one for my salt water aquarium. It does not work for me as the arm that holds the sensor is not long enough to reach the water level in the sump. Not happy. :(

Hello I have been using these now a couple years. I think they are great. But now I have an issue where one of my units is not measuring any water flow. I need help please. I cannot call the number from the USA - is there a manual or do you have an answer? I replaced the plug. I replaced the flow sensor. It worked briefly but now all numbers are 0. When water runs through it it does not sense any flow at all.
