Hunter, it was scary. I live on Long Island and my house was shaking. I called my brother in Ireland and said "I think we just had an earthquake", because you are so right, it took forever to get official news about it. I felt an earthquake about 13 years ago and this one was much worse and seemed to last longer. I know it was no fun but now you have a great story.

yes! It was scary. I live in NYC. I was on the computer reading e mail and suddenly the building was shaking. Honest.. thought I was having panic attack. Then it stoped.{hone rang and rang... friends asking did u feel that? within 5 minutes ... it was all over the news. Around 6pm there was another one.. but less duration. I was washing dishes and the sink began to shake. By then... it was.. here comes another but over in 15 seconds.
