We stayed for a week on Phuket Island in two very different locations. We spent four nights at the north end of the island and then switched to Patong Beach for the last three. Here is our comparison of the two experiences and which one we preferred.

Surat Thani is often an overnight stop for tourists on their way to the islands of Ko Samui, Ko Tao, and Ko Pha Ngan. We took the opportunity to spend four days here and discover the wonders of the city. Unfortunately not. We have noticed many of the old sites do not have the ability to be retrofitted to accommodate people with mobility issues.

Melaka is one of my favourite go to local holiday destination. It has so much charm and history to the place, and the Peranakan cuisines there are to die for. Definitely a must visit location if one were to come to Malaysia. Maybe next time both of you can stay a couple of days there to experience the Jonker Street night market that takes place on weekends.😊

The Grab drivers are certainly the front liners in terms of tourism in Malaysia. Those who are knowledgeable can really give tourists some good pointers and give the tourists some basic bearings on how to go about visiting Kuala Lumpur and its suburbs hidden gems. So tourists should make them a default form of transportation when they first arrive to this incredible city! 😊

There are many languages in Singapore. The reason is that Singapore has a multi-ethnic society. The Singapore government recognizes four official languages: English, Malay, Mandarin, and Tamil.

We have been thoroughly fascinated learning about the Malay people. We will definitely be planning a future trip back to Malaysia and visiting other parts of the country. We will be sure to visit Kelantan!

Book a room at first world it's pretty cheap and take your time exploring Genting Highland!
In hindsight we wish we made it an overnight trip. One day worked well for us.
