There another place with cold weather. 4 hours from KL by bus, however you have to remain there for 2 or 3 days. This place is similar to Europe, but the cost is lower than Genting Highland.

Book a room at first world it's pretty cheap and take your time exploring Genting Highland!
In hindsight we wish we made it an overnight trip. One day worked well for us.
