Fantastic work. This is so far over my head as a welder. I never got involved in pipe I was working on machines mostly and general fabrication and repairs. I'm a journeymen but pipe just never came along in my travels. If it did I'd sure enjoy being taught by you Wally. Retired now and I miss it.

Nice Job! I was certified a number of years ago. Welded up some 3/4 wall tube and machined flanges for 50,000 lb hyd lines. That was fun! Keep up the good videos! Kent Smith Welding.

Classic Weld Professor video! I have tried to get a Stinger V stinger here in the UK but nobody stocks them it seems. They look to be a great design. Keep up the great work and videos young man!

I mostly do 7018 in position. Just getting into rolling out pipe. Did not like how my cap looked like. I google it and it send me to this video. I watch it twice and couple other videos of yours. Couldn't wait to come in to try it out. Even though this video was for content I APPRECIATE THE HELP. CAP CAME OUT *ALMOST* AS GOOD AS YOURS. *need more practice on the wheel lol. GRACIAS PROFESOR WALLY

11:56 That's how you start a rod. One handed, get used to it. When welding in position, on a ladder, using your left hand to hold on to another piece of pipe, or whatever.

That's absolutely beautiful. I love this. I was doing the root 6011 cause there ain't no 6010 in the mountains here, and then 6011 hot passing it then doing the 7018 fill and cap. I like your method but I didn't know it was an option. I get frustrated because I am doing this work here and nobody else does this for a hundred miles. So I make phone calls and then burn rod. But to be fair, I am doing it for irrigation and the pressure is low. But that doesn't matter, because I do the welds trying.to beast perfect as possible because it's all practice right?
