When in India, you will get three very distinctive style of biriyanis - Hyderabadi, Lucknowi and Kolkata biriyani. And don't even get the three states from which these belong to start a debate on who thinks which one's the best 😅

I stay exactly near to the first restuarant "paradise". It was the no 1 biryani long rime ago but not anymore. It is the first branch of paradise in hyderabad and prior to a restaurant it was a cinema theatre later converted to a restaurant.

Come to Hyderabad, you guys. Try biryani from Peshawar, Shah ghouse, Bawarchi and Shadab, you'll fall in love
It will be good if rice and masala mixed and cooked together rather than following layering method. The timing of adding rice and meat are different. Not all at one time. The best grade of rice selected by tamils are paasumathi and seeraga samba.

Regularly go to Hyderabad and had most of the ones here. It's a great biriyani no doubt. Hate the excessive quantity. You get one plate and 3 people can eat hands down. But if you want biriyani which is all flavour, light, a complete meal without any burn, kolkata biriyani hands down is the best

In North India , Best Biryani are Muradabadi and lucknow biryani but not as good as Hyderabadi one. However , it will be good to have Yakhni pulao in North indian muslim's home. That is amazing.

I hope one day you visit North East India especially Arunachal Pradesh. The most comfortable way to travel would be to rent a car (Innova) from Guwahati for your trip to Arunachal Pradesh. That car would stay with you throughout the trip till you return to Guwahati. 5000 inr per day including gas charges and driver payment. That around $60 for you.
