This video was filmed on February 23rd, 1976 for the Australian music television program "Countdown". It featured the band and the members of the Rats of Tobruk Pipe band on the back of a flatbed truck travelling down Swanston Street in Melbourne, Australia. David Olney was the cameraman and he had the whopping budget of $380 to shoot this video.
Bon Scott was, is and always be AC/DC! This was my era , I’m 72 and still turn into the 20y.o when I hear Bon Scott!

Getting stoned isn't about having stones thrown at them. If you notice the second time through he says getting stoned, second hand. That's referring to the fact everyone in the audience would be smoking dope. In the 70's any indoor venue would be smoke filled. So it was believed that you would get stoned from all the pot smoke in the air.

Saw these guys so many times live as a teenager in Melbourne Australia in the mid 70’s with the one and only Bon Scott. He oozed charisma and had the crowd eating out of his hand. I would never go to see them now with Brian, I saw them at their best and he will always be their frontman to me. Our teenage brains were blown every time we saw them which is why we kept going back! So lucky! This is filmed in my hometown of Melbourne in Swanston St.

This is Bon Scott's song. He did odd jobs. Was a roadie and limo driver. When the singer for AC DC didn't show up he jumped on stage and started singing. He was alot better then the singer that didn't show up and they hired him on the spot.
Just think about singing AND playing bagpipes in this song.

AC/DC is a live band......and at their peak with Bon Scott, before they made it big in the USA.
If you want energy then their live at the Apollo videos are probably the best, but also raw.
