Done 200,000 mies in my 1.9 tdi pd 130, factory turbo and clutch still fitted, never done anything to internals, all factory. Just i serviced regulary and cam belt an w,pump change when needed. V.N.T can stick on turbo's but mine was always good. Drove like new and six speed box was best i ever had in a car.

Had similar or same map put on my 180k 105hp 1.9pd. Origiinal air filter and exhaust. And I can confirm significant performance difference.
@P4P TvI disagree, I think the £50 on the map was money well spent.
I payed £300 for the car scraps up at £250. Worth every penny I think.

Uno hardcut and popcorn are the same thing with different names right ? It's just how fast they set it to what it sounds like .

Mate I've had tdis/pds for yrs had popcorn/hardcut on All ofem the exhaust set up had nothing to do withit popcorn and hardcut are the same thing 😅 just depends on how fast the tuner sets it ...
Hardcut and softcut are the types of limiters
Hardcut is SVRL method
Soft cut is done with the launch control map
Why dont you have the « Teeeouuuuuuu » sound of thé turbo, i have à 1.9 TDI 130 stage 2 , one time i open the pipe just after cat and before the muffler, the sound was horrible

Hi how's your alternator doing since having the remap? Got a 1.9pd 105hp remapped to claimed 170hp myself popcorn when stationary + Hardcut if the wheels are turning. I have a suspicion my alternator is either giving up or the stupid high hard cut limiter is providing to much engine speed

Hey Matty, im about to grab me a plug n play ecu for my pd130 - i have the option of the hardcut limiter, erm, what is it and should i have it?
Hardcut limiter (aka Popcorn limiter) sounds insane. Instead of the fuel leaning out and stopping the engine revving any higher, people set the limiter to 4500 to 4800.

How come the exhaust doesn't produce alot of smoke compared to other TDIs
Think it depends on where it’s mapped and what map, I’ve also got a hardcut limiter which basically cuts the fuel at a certain rpm. Most diesels tend to have a popcorn limiter which tends to produce smoke, so when I get popcorn there will be more smoke
@@MattyTurner They're both essentially the same buddy however it can be achieved differently. A SVRL is the best sounding method imo, yours I think was done via torque limiting, sound good either way!

turbo diesel injection and think it’s 160kw not sure abt kw i use hp in my country and it’s about 130hp or 150hp depending on if you have a pd130 engine or pd150
