This video shows my first attempt at using Unicorn Spit on a throwing axe handle I made. I think it turned out pretty good. Watch the video to see how to do it yourself.
So cool. I just finished hanging my first axe. It's a true temper flint edge bell system single bit. Got it from a friend for 15 bucks and I found a nice looking handle at an old furniture shop. Now I got myself a 10 foot board of hickory and I'm hunting for some more heads. Great work!
No sir, I don't even have any in my collection. Nothing against them, but as a collector I can get more for my money when buying vintage American heads. Or these prandi heads for $12. What watl axe do you throw?
Nice job, I like that color
Look into videos on tobacco pipe making for some higher end wood finishing. Leather dyes work great for wood.
Very nice result!
Hey Gerald, pretty cool aye. I'm going to step up my game and add more texture on the next one.
@@old_iron_axe_and_tool Looking forward to seeing it. Stay Cool

This is great man. I like that you went straight to making your own handles. Good luck with your new addiction.
Really nice. Almost looks like a burn.
Dude that looks so good!
Ya, I'm ready to do another, so many possibilities.
Nice job
Hey thanks man. Are you in Oregon?
Man that alumite really makes that sucker POP..good combination of the 2. Kind of a burnt looked..haha soon as I am writing this you said it
I'm thinking I got to do an orange or red wedge banger handle with it.
I believe a hand axe was used for butchering, skining, digging and chopin wood.
Have you ever customized a WATL axe?
