- These are my current favorite 3 axes of the recent months. They are all different in many ways...but luckily, I try MANY so I will keep you updated along the way. Keep in mind, this is NOT an ad. Buy what you want, where you want!

It’s so easy to be fooled by internet people these days. I really hope you are as genuine in person as you seem to be in your videos. There are very few influencers who I would honestly like to have a beer with but you are definitely one of them. Congratulations on your success!

@@ThorenBradleyhaha love this
@@1u8taheb6 😂😂😂
New setup? The video quality is amazing, and the graphics are so professional. The audio is crisp, with no visible mic. I don’t recall watching a content creator whose output is of this high quality.
I am very impressed by the high standards you set for yourself.
I love the videos, keep them coming.
I am learning! And continue to work on it. They will get better! I promise
I know I said it before, but my Adler Super Splitter is awesome. It's more expensive than the x27, but cheaper than the gransfors. You can get it at around $150. It's around a 6 pound head and I haven't even gotten it close to stuck in anything yet. It just splits. Love it.
I have one in the mail! After your request. It’s on the way. Promise, I listened!
@@ThorenBradley Can’t wait for a review, and drop the composite handled Fisker off your top 3 list!! LOVE a wood handle so much better.
Wow, Thoren, thank you so much for this Video man!
I just love that improved Fireman’s axe,
to function as a wood splitting maul,
it’s my favorite.
I can’t wait to use it one day, soon.
I hope that the manufacturer listens to your advice and ideas,
such as more tapered for less stoppage,
and a longer handle.
I think that what’s coming is very exciting, with your input help.
So, thanks again.
Respectfully Wishing for You & Yours an Extreme Health and Longevity,

Dude. Thank you! And yeah, i really hope they get something on shelves asap (or at least internet shelves) 😂
Recently got a Stihl pro splitting axe. It was kinda pricey but it’s nice, hickory handle, and lifetime warranty sold me. Been super happy with it so far.
I picked up my x27 2 years ago and absolutely love it. I haven't had any issues with it other than the handle not being rigid enough when you're trying to pry the wood apart after splitting it the handle bends versus pushing the wood apart. But fantastic axe (as a novice).
Thorne Bradley. I think a 16 pound Mueller splitting maul would be right up your alley. I have the 11 pound Mueller and it impressive.
Thanks for doing this Thoren! I've been asking about your axes in most of your videos and now I got my answer lol
next is "where do you get your boots and suspenders" lmao
Maybe review some of your other equipment like chainsaws and such.
you got it!
Awesome demo 👌
good to see you finally got your hands on a gransfors, I don't personally own one yet but I have heard great things about them
Prandi merlin as my maul, and 5.5lb basque as my fast splitter
Awesome information on these axes, that firemaul is sweet!Definitely gonna be a purchase in the near future 👍
Right on! I hope they get the ball rolling soon!
$69 now is cheaper than $39 when you were a kid
If I said “kid” i meant when I was simply younger….being when I was in my 20’s. Sorry for not making that clear. Still stand behind the main point I was making
FINALLY ANOTHER VIDEO! I need to send you some vintage axes man, I love my vintage’s for splitting more than any axe, mauls are different. I want a firemaul though that’s so sick!
Good work Thoren
Great video. Would love to see you work with a Liam Hoffman axe, but they are definitely not on the cheap end of the scale, but boy do I love the handle and head look they've got going for their models
I do like a good maul but I’ve always preferred to use splitting axes. Usually a Tasmanian pattern just cause I love the wider face on the head of it.
I got set some time aside to watch this today. Good job buddy.
❤❤❤❤❤ I love your videos thank you so much
Genuine dude and a Beast. Love it 💪🏼🥂
thanks Alex!!
love the new editing man!
Dang! Thank you!
Getting my fiskers from Amazon good price also.
You should try a Hardcore Hammers splitter
As someone who grades for a living, I appreciate the .x rating system 😃 There's a difference between an 8.9 and a 9.0! This was cool, thanks.
Secretly just making this video to tell axe manufacturers to make longer handles, subtle…
Thoren, Love your videos and the amount of knowledge you share! Please create a "How To" video for splitting wood! Stance, body posture, swing etc etc. Thanks and keep upi the excellent videos!
Ha, right after I typed that I found your instructional video! Cheers! Only 1 topic you didn't cover, and that is where are you looking (focusing on) when you are swinging? Thanks
Hey theoren love your channel lots of good information just a quick question what brand of logger boots would you recommend buying ?
Greath video. Keep going men aewsome
I'm okay with my Husky axe. 39 bucks.
I you want something heavy with a long handle try the Muller 5Kg splitting maul, it comes on a 36 inch handle
How about a review of a cheap, no-name brand axe? It would be useful to see what the compromises are.
I have been using a cheap, yellow plastic handle axe for the last 10 years and have been happy with it. I would consider stepping it up to a nice axe if there are noticeable gains.
Thanks I bought my axe right before you dropped this 😂
Yes, more non-shorts videos!
Love your videos keep up the good work
Thanks! I seriously appreciate that!
How about a review of suspenders?
I bought the fiskars x27 for my bug out bag when it was 40 bucks
Damn Amazon has it for $57 where did you get yours?
@@michelledonovan100 I’m sorry for not being more specific. This was right before Biden took office and inflation went crazy. It’s a great axe worth every penny of even 57 dollars
I will never buy an ace in my life, but please do teach me Mr. Bradley
Wow 12 pound maul....
Never seen one!
Hey man, have you ever tried using a splitting wedge? even if it's just to get that first split
Epic stuff, love the content
Have the best week ,bro!
Reverb = shock tendinitis. 👎👎👎 the X27; splits great, excellent head speed; but it will wreck your forearms with extended use. The GB with a 36 inch handle would be 😍😍😍.
Would you say that the fire mail makes up for it lack of length with its satisfying girth?
just here to see you split wood tbh 😂 love the content bro
Just for clarification, the head of the Gransfors Bruks maul is five and a half pounds, instead of seven.
Can tell he’s off the juice
What’s up with all these weird super sketchy octogon axes??
Check out the new Hardcore hammer double sided axe/splitter.
They have a 5lb one and i yhink yhe older version is 4lbs?
The new one is a straight handle, i think 28", but it's at least a straight handle so you can use the splitting side.
Yo review a tuatahi axe 🤘
fiskars x37 is beast long and heavy
heya brother, can you tell me your outfit's store or website? Like where did you get your pants from and what's the name of the pant? Specially the one you're wearing in this whole vid. I really like it, it'd be pleasure if you answer🥺Thankyou❤
Maybe you should consider making an axe of your own at one point? Since there is no perfect axe on the market, why not try make one? As a partnership with one of the producers and with your online presence i think it would really take off
honest question from australia.
If you lived here, surrounded by gumtrees, which one would you own or favour or would it be something different? theres not much else worth burning here. I am assuming your comments are based on splitting the common trees in North America.
I think I would choose a 7 pound axe like the gransfors. And mainly work around the edges of gum trees BUT i would use a cheap 8 pound maul to split it with a wedge when I need to. That combo would be my favorite. The one you hit the wedges with, should be the cheapo one
@@ThorenBradley really appreciate your reply and the content you make. (and of course your Instagram comments for a laugh 😂)
@@ThorenBradleyas opposed to a cheap maul for banging wedge and also having another splitter. Would one be better served with perhaps just a sledge hammer and a smaller maul or larger splitting axe?
Do you have any stihl axes/mauls? Seen a lot of good reviews at a lower price point would be curious for your opinion
i love the axe's i love it there great. but i want to talk about suspenders. i service pools in oc california. and i would like to buy some suspenders and give them a try. i bend down to the pools edge multiple time per stop. and i have over 50 pools a week. and the belt i like are stiff and sometimes i get pinched and have to stand back up to readjust my pants higher on my hips then go back down. its annoying.
How did you come to the conclusion that the fiskars wont last? How many did you break so far and how? Honestly asking you beast.
Because although the composite will likely outlast a wood handle….that’s the only one you get. So law of averages. The head on the gransfors for example, may be here on earth in useable form long after I am 😂🫡
❤️🔥
My harbor freight axe works well for me lol
Do you keep all the wood you split for yourself or do you sell it?
About 20% is probably for my home. The rest, I donate to help others heat their homes as well. First responders, and low income households
@@ThorenBradley Oh wow that's amazing!! Keep up the great work!!
@@TheMorganGibson i don’t show that part. Because it’s a bit poor in taste to brag of donations in videos. Just enjoy doing it
@@ThorenBradley Again, that's amazing. It's better to do your good deeds in private and not share it with the world anyways. You're doing it because you enjoy doing it not because you want validation and applause from people on the internet. I really respect that about you.
Mr. Bradley Why don't you Design your own axe
You’re one handsome and cool dude. I hope to meet you in person one day!
That would be too cool to meet!
I'm 5'5" should I still go with the x27? Or size down to the x25?
Learn to make the x27 work for you. It’s not heavy enough to size down. ☺️👍🏼
Brother, if you can, go have a look at both axes in a big box shop. Hold the x27 first and see if it feels too heavy. It probably won't.
@@julianzacconievasI'm also female 😂 I'll see if I can find them to hold in person.
@@wufscelloi am confident you’ll find the x27 manageable.
@@wufscello Sorry Sister! I didn't look at your picture and just incorrectly assumed everyone watching Thoren is a guy. My bad. My wife is 5'7 and she swings the x27 no problem, hopefully you can make it work for you, as the x25 might not cut the mustard for bigger fresh conifer rounds or half dried hardwoods. Alternatively, if you are just trying to stay warm over the winter and not looking for a workout, you can look at manual or electric hydraulic splitters. It's more money (like 5 times as much), but they do the work for you.
Hello bblove❤❤😊😊
Love the content, love axes but dislike the animations and call outs. They made the content feel gimmicky and inauthentic compared to your other content
Just curious, would it help the X27 if you filled the handle with silicon or something similar to stop the vibration?
Yes. But I cannot rate it off of alterations. 👍🏼☺️
@@ThorenBradley
Have you or anyone else done this? Is it as simple as using tube silicone? Maybe a pourable resin? Can anyone speak to durability of different fillers? Of course if I put $50 bucks into moding an axe maybe I should just try a higher end one. Just seems hard to find a long handled axe I like that’s not really high end.
Heirloom? EEYYOO THORE YOU PLAY APEX LEGENDS???🫨
