１面BGMのバトルテーマの流れは、ゲームの演出とBGMを上手く合わせた、最もわかりやすい例だと思う。あの自機が登場するときに流れる「ギュイギュイギュイギュイ」がテンション上がりまくりでたまらん！
ドラムパートがないんですよね、この曲すべて。
それでいて変じゃないからすごいです。
初めて聴いたのはBeepのソノシート。アフターバーナー・ドラスピ・メガテンのアレンジとのカップリング。
その組み合わせの中では大人しい音作りに感じたが、ゲームプレイと共に聴いた楽曲群は異彩を放っていた。
あの映像に付くのは確かにこの曲で間違いない。効果音も親和性があった。
昭和の田舎の小学生がコレ聴いたらそりゃ夢中でのめり込むよ。かっこいいもん。
05:58 曲名も含めてステージのコンセプトとよく合っている。素晴らしい。
改めて聴くと神曲ばかり。子供の時は気付かなかったけど凄い才能だったんだな。

PCエンジンで2周クリアできたのでその腕でゲーセンに挑戦したけど、2周目の巨大戦艦が限界だったのは遠い思ひ出。
オイラはPCEでとことん鍛えて AC版で 2周クリアできたので、PCE 版のスタッフに感謝したい。2周目5面からパスワードで何度でも特訓できるので、むしろ 2枚に分割されたことで非常に助けられた。
PCE 版はAC版を解析して移植しているので完璧な移植に近い。むしろ処理落ちが少ないぶん PCE 版のほうが難しい。
ゲーセンだとギャラリーがいたり、パスワードが無くて通しでのプレイになるので、そういうメンタルな部分での難しさはあると思う。
当時のＰＣエンジン版はカードの容量の関係で２つに分割されて発売されたが、後に出た海外版ではカードの容量が増えたため国内版の１と２を統合して１つになっている(現在配信されているのはこちら)。
bgmというものを認識するに当たって気づかせてくれたのがコレ

MkⅢ版にしか手が出せなかった当時、このBGMは憧れそのものだった
MkⅢ版も決して悪い出来ではなく、そのプレイを参考にアケ版を
クリアしたんだけど、ハードの限界というものは確かにあって
それが形として現れていたのがグラと並んでBGMの音色だったんだ
FM音源ユニットを追加していたら、少しは近づけたのかな…

the PC Engine/Turbographx16 version sounded way better
i disagree. though i only played the gameboy version as a kid
was just about to say this, turbo graphx 16 made alot of things sound better. Love their sound chip
