I love how you love the old houses and when u open a cupboard and find old cleaning supplies and medication how it is like watching a young boy open his gifts.
OMG, the light switch popped back on by itself! That was weird, man this place is SOOO worth saving! I wish I had the money to do it! The wood working around the doors and the staircase..... STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL!! You do a very nice job now Rix, where is Bekah?? Wow, that was weird, no sooner I asked you where Bekah was, then you say she's in the car!! That second house was still a cool little video, thanks for taking the time (and for not getting physically sick over the smell just to explore it and share it with us! Tell Bekah hi!! Thanks for sharing!! Peace, Kim ~
I have a feeling that house wasn't abandoned too long ago. That wavy glass is very old. Glass is a liquid and as it dries (slowly) it forms waves. it drips as well
I watched that several times trying to see if there was a cut in the video where he might have edited it to mess with people. But it did seem to turn itself back on. Those switches are a little harder to flip and once they’re in position, they should stay there. I was surprised he didn’t react to that or try to flip it some more.
Those old switches were very tight and can be very stiff to move, even before they get old. If you didn't have them quite clicked into place, they would spring back on you. Some of them were so stiff, they would press a line into your finger or thumb. My parents farm was from the 1800's and some things were a little different than now.
It did switch back ! I only noticed it when I was putting the video together. Sometimes it’s a whole year before I go back and review the footage we’ve filmed. I was surprised to see that too.
What a Beautiful find Rick😍 this Brick House reminds me of when I was younger growing up in The New England area.. I have a few favourites of the house, the doors, the little door under the stairs, the floors, and the old heating vents. Thanks for sharing, again nice find😍
Number 184 The brickhouse it's in very nice house and what I love about it is that it's by a a busy Street and you're not alone, not reallyit's nice I hope somebody picked it up eventually and takes care of it and fix it up and it look good as new 👍😊
LOL, the bad smell was that big pile of manure across the fence in that field!! Wish you would've explored the old barn! The first big house was really nice! Looked like pretty good "bones"; and could be restored! They even had extra pieces if wood trim (it looked like)standing up in one room. Our big old Victorian 3 story + basement home has "extra" things like that tucked away in our attic. In old days, everything was saved when something was "changed". Love old homes like this, and No Graffiti or vandalism. Thanks!
Love the shelf with the old products on it. Just really odd... Cool also to see. Wild switch that turned itself back on again after you turned it off. That's freaky! The floor vents are because that is the only way to get heat up on that level back then. Great job, Rick!
Another great video by my number one favourite youtubers and I cant wait for more. Its amazing that a brick building is still standing after it was abandoned and is nice to see all the windows intact for a change because most of the abandoned places you have gone too has been vandalised or ransacked.
Rick& Beckah good to see you guys back. Wow that first one was a beaut to come back with. The second one could be an analogy of America right now a ' shambles'.
I'd love to live in the first house if it was A) in better condition and 2) had a second bathroom. What a great old place; simple but dignified. I noticed the old-fashioned shallow closets from when clothing was hung up facing outward.---The second house, I wonder how longer until all nearly all of it collapses. From the way it's weathered but still mostly standing, the house may last a while longer.
The kitchen screamed 1950s & the built in hutch looked pretty cool. It’s surprising the amount of condiments that were left behind as well. The bathroom, which probably went in in the 1950s contained a 1950s “Stsndard” Cadet toilet & a reminder about brushing teeth.
I didn't know you were near Nashville, Couple of days ago, I live near there! Thanks Rick, first house was nice, looked like they just threw all the trash in the basement. Second house was a wreck! Thank you for the video, hope you both made it home ok.
Wow.. I'd say some time in the 90's when it was abandoned... then again it could be from the 2000's too.. I found food still in cans in one place... the cans were rusted but some of them still had a label on it.. it was Progresso Minestrone.. there was only that one soup can that I remember, the rest of it was old paint cans and such... I never found out when the old woman that lived there died.. but I'm guessing the place was falling into disrepair when people were living there.. I found an old brick house in my old home town, but since the doors were locked I never went inside.. but once that wall came down I was in there all over the first floor, I didn't trust the second floor.. though I saw an update of this year.. it's STILL standing.. but it's starting to fall apart quick.. Second floor is sinking down on both sides.. It is just structurely unsound now but last I knew, people were still going inside it... just to damage stuff but now that the second stair case is gone (It was the last one left) people have somehow climbed in through a second story window.. they actually cut out the window with a saw.. but did it with a clean cut
A Carpenter could fix that place up it looks worth saving!!...I have seen worse get new make overs..Add wood burning antique stoves..Claw bath tub yes sir...Fix bad wood new roof..Fresh paint Priscilla curtains a Dream Home..
That first house used to be someone’s home. What a shame to see it abandoned and left to ruin. It seems to be in a populated area so I’m wondering why someone doesn’t buy it and fix it up.
Rick and Bekah, first off I want to say I love your video's. Second, one way to find out how old a place is or how long someone lived there , is to see if there is a Do Not Remove Tag on the mattress. It will have a manufacture date on it.
3:44 - Looks like there was a fireplace at one time. It appears they sealed it and opted to heat with some sort of wood burning stove. The circular opening above the fireplace suggests, to me, that is where the stove pipe vented back into the chimney in the wall.
Your wife is missing out on a basically Untouched beautiful old home . That’s the original glass from the old days , that vent it to let the heat come upstairs!! I love this house, it’ll be ashamed when the vandals come
I know I'm about a year late commenting, lol, but I didn't see anyone else comment at 6:29 how super dark that corner is, you even pan up and down on it, and then while you're leaving at 7:58, it isn't quite as dark, I know it's a different angle and all, but man, it was super dark like a shadow was there at 6:29...lol probably just a dark corner I don't know...
Sad so many think old homes are haunted and this is not always the case. Some don't realize it can be the land which is haunted and the newly built home is haunted because of the land.
3:53 - Always give the light switches a flick. The newer ones have a soft click, while the older ones have a harder click to them. Also, would the plaster line above the switch suggest the house was built first, then electrical wiring added later?
For the smell to be that strong, with the wind blowing, you would have to be on top of a large, dead animal. I think the manure pile in the farmers field at 10:15 is the source. Those things are horrendous!
I wonder what makes the owners simply walk away, leaving stuff there and apparently not trying to sell the property. Someone has to be paying taxes on it.
When you explore places and you smell an odor don't assume it is an animal, could be a body dump, so proceed with caution as not to disturb possible evidence if that is what it is. Be safe.
That house was great. Have you ever thought about running upon a dead body? That’s creepy in places like that. You need some kind of gas mask like those smog testers in California have to wear I think that would help you.
Its going to smell like something dead with that big pile of chicken litter on the field where you were at. In North Alabama they use the Heck out it. Smells awful!!! But the farmers and chicken house owners say it smells like money to them...😂😂😂
Nothing beats the craftsmanship of the days of old
I love how you love the old houses and when u open a cupboard and find old cleaning supplies and medication how it is like watching a young boy open his gifts.
Loved the old brick house. Great video thanks for sharing
I liked it when Bekah recorded and Rick could move things, show objects found in houses.
That's a wonderful old house could definitely be saved ♥
I love it that the woodwork hasn’t been painted over, love transome windows
The first house was one of your best videos! I can imagine grandpa and grandma there to take the kids in every weekend decades ago. Many decades ago.
That first place was nice, its nice to see no body grafitied it or destroyed it ,nice find
cool old house thanks for sharing

Hi Kim ! Bekah will be in more videos. Just not all of them. :)
I love that old wavy glass too! The woodwork & those huge windows that almost reach the floor are so cool!!!
I love the old staircases❤
I love old farmhouses the woodwork is stunning. Be beautiful if someone makes it a little home again.
Love an old brick house! This is no exception.
Very nice find!! Love it 😀
Hate to see that house rot away. Such beautiful woodwork. Thanks for the video. Stay safe you two.
I have a feeling that house wasn't abandoned too long ago. That wavy glass is very old. Glass is a liquid and as it dries (slowly) it forms waves. it drips as well
I love the old woodwork this house could be restored, be nice if someone would.
This must have been a grand house in it today! What a beauty.
Wait, hold up...did the light switch @4:10 turn itself back on...🤔Cool find Rick, loved the first one-thx, both of you for making and sharing 👍👍
Yea, it clicked by itself after he clicked it twice. I don't think he even realized. Wowzers!
I watched that several times trying to see if there was a cut in the video where he might have edited it to mess with people. But it did seem to turn itself back on. Yeh I only noticed the switch turn itself off whenever I viewed the video ! Weird
I live just 10 miles east of Nashville. I’m glad to see you explore close to home
Cool. Right at 1 minute 25 there is a postal package in the kitchen cupboard. I was hoping you would check it out. Oh well.
Always remember to brush and floss!
Thanks for the tour.
What a cool old place!!
Liked the 1st 1 the best, would be wonderful if someone could restore it to it's natural beauty

Very cool house! We're also urban explorers and actually in your neck of the woods, we would love to colab with you guys.

@@ExploringwithRickBekah yeah I have been watching them for several months now they are super awesome
Beautiful home
That house looks like it could be saved.
Oh those are wonderful old built ins!! My parents had that same sink in our old family home
Great potential here! (first place).
What a nice video. 🙂
And the ghosts said “we’ll leave the light switch on.”
You see it also?
The first house was not bad the rest decayed very nice :-)
Already I love those old built ins & the old stove hole. This house is of a. Old style, wonder if the brick outside was added later
1927su I also love that! 🙂
Cool :)

That first house used to be someone’s home. What a shame to see it abandoned and left to ruin. It seems to be in a populated area so I’m wondering why someone doesn’t buy it and fix it up.
Nice 👍
🙂👍👍
I have a hunch that the odor you were smelling was coming from the huge mound of what looks like cattle manure behind the 2nd bonus house!! 😕 😝
Rick and Bekah, first off I want to say I love your video's. Second, one way to find out how old a place is or how long someone lived there , is to see if there is a Do Not Remove Tag on the mattress. It will have a manufacture date on it.

Hohoho Green Giant!
a new Rick & Bekah video...happy happy happy joy joy joy...I've been anticipating the next one ….thank you very very much
Yay orson! Glad to see your comments as always.
The second building I don't think was a house. I believe it is an old tobacco drying barn. The big barn would of been for the livestock.
I think it's more likely the case that the owner died years ago and left no testament nor had inheritors, therefore no one can account for it.
Wonder what moves on the tree outside the window starting at 5:38? Cool house!
When you explore places and you smell an odor don't assume it is an animal, could be a body dump, so proceed with caution as not to disturb possible evidence if that is what it is. Be safe.
Me gusta este canal pero no endiendo si pusiera sustitulos en español
10:15 looks like a farmers manure pile iin back
What years do those circle cut pieces at the top of the door frames date to. “The old homeplace” had those but never knew what era they were
Should have checked the date on the large can of corn..might have given a clue as to when it was abandoned...jmo
That house was great. Have you ever thought about running upon a dead body? That’s creepy in places like that. You need some kind of gas mask like those smog testers in California have to wear I think that would help you.

:57 I bet that old vinegar would curl your toe's....and look there's some garlic dipping oil...I bet that stuff would take your breath away too :)
First to give a thumbs up.
🙂👍👍👍 third!
I wouldn’t take that nasty old rug. Probably full of germs and dust.
Be gnarly if that dead thing was a Dead Hobo . . .
Yo, did Moon Penguin 7 write the opening music? If not you should think about asking them to collaborate.
I found a dead fish in my drive the other day . boy did that stink
T.M.I. on the dead animal smell :D
Looks like some hand a dog ,the way the doors are scratched
I would like to have seen the big barn but you ignored that so that's kind of a bummer.
Sorry.
Should have looked at the bb date

Virginia maybe. Can’t remember.
